Weather effects are fantastic, I'm sure.

Kaz really outdid himself in the new premium cars that were revealed. Kubelwagen, Type 2 "Samba", X1 Prototype by GT (in otherwords, fictional) and PDI Racing go-kart.

Kaz, please don't reveal such an exciting 'list' of cars next time. I don't think my heart could take it.....

Dynamic weather is restricted to endurance races and compatible with the track creator. So dynamic weather may be restricted to a minimum number of laps while weather will be on all tracks in a static condition while the race is on.

Oh I see, thanks for clearing that up.

So far im delighted with the news from TGS but there are still many questions I have that are unanswered. These are mostly about online play.

1. Will GT5 allow you to create racing teams.

2. How will PD deal with the idiots online i.e corner cutting, wrecking peoples cars. Will the penalty system be the same as GT5P and have they improved this.

3. Will each car have its own leaderboard like GT5P.

I think its because having dynamic weather for a 3 lap race makes no sense. Static weather for short races and dynamic changing weather for enduro's is my guess.
I completely agree.

But at the same time, they should offer some sort of "changeable weather conditions" for time trials/testing (whatever), just so the players get to practice racing in those environments.

But the weather is fixed for normal races and dynamic for endurace right? cause if it's only for endurance .. damn i don't have time to make an endurance race.

Kaz already confirmed point 1 before, and create car clubs. Ie Rx7 car club and so on.

Bet someone will ask that question in an interview. At least I hope so;)!
But anyway, I'm so glad with all this news! Can't wait for the HD trailer or HD demo footage

I can't imagine having weather on a 5 lap race. So it depends how you define Endurance really.

Assuming there is weather options for each track, I think that's right.

im confused..... do they mean we will have weather in all the game modes ? ie lemans, doing licencing, rally, and so forth ? would be fun to have snow on the top gear track or rain, I hope the weather will be in the gt life part of the game, what are the endurance races anyway ?
wow this game is going to be sick im gonna be a zombie after my first playthrough, Ill want to play all the time......:dopey:

I must of missed that because the only time i've seen Kaz mention car clubs/racing teams was years ago when he was talking about his vision for GT. We have already heard Kaz say some features won't be in GT5 but they are already working on GT6. I want to know what are these missing features and I would like an answer to my questions.

HEY< some important questions... for those who know more.... and how much more...

1) Is there anything more to come or is this it? I find it hard to believe rain and a remodelled track is all... after all of E3 and then quite a bit at GamesCom and now this is really 2nd to E3 above GC, and we haven't got much yet...

2) Is there another session or are they feeding stuff out slowly?

3) Is the weather only in dynamic form or can we choose to race ... monza 10 laps, in the snow say...

4) Is this the final showing until november or is there another show coming (someone said something about something in mid/start of october)

"There is the Volkswagon Kubelwagen -- designed by Mr. Porsche. Another is the VW Schwimmagen, which can drive in water. Also designed by Porsche. Sadly, this game won't be in the release of GT5."
?

I smell a Top Gear amphibic challenge ;)

Great news so far!
Looking forward to a HD version of the weather.

Yeah he said it an interview this year, but he kept dodging the issue. Said he can't go into it right now.

I meant to quote the person you quoted but it wont let me. The person who said the VW's will not be in the game.

DLC definitely confirmed then?

maybe creating a team over internet and playing endurance races !!! like in reality !!! that would be awesome !!! cooperative competitive play between teams !!! incredible !!! for GT6 ?

DLC definitely confirmed then?

definitely GT5 will get DLC, hopefully it wont be all payable...free great updates a la GT5 oprologue would be awesome !!!

also the polyphony servers for GT5 prologue are really slow, I cant even update my game using a 1 megabit connexion...hopefully this will change with GT5...

Is there more information to come or what? Because that wasn't enough for my liking. Kotaku did a good job in getting some info to us, but to me that just seemed like a staged thing that Kaz held. Where's the more juicy info at, if there is any?

There will be personal interviews to come, media on the official GT sites as well as floor demo videos. Especially on the weekend with TGS is open to the public.

* Yamauchi admits that, in certain situations – such as standing race starts in the rain with 15 other cars on the screen kicking up spray in front of you – the game may not be able to hold 60FPS. Otherwise, it will strive to hold 60FPS as often as possible.

So qualifying is not confirmed? Hahah

I'm sad to hear that they're already working on GT6 and some things didn't make it in. Drag racing probably hasn't made the cut, but hopefully they can weed out most of the unused cars and make most/a lot of cars premiums

I'm not watching these shotty videos anymore until they're released in high quality.. I watched it once while they showed it, and even then I was squinting

Im not surprised they are already working on GT6. We all know that GT6 won't take aslong as GT5 to develop because it will use many of the assets from GT5. I bet those responsible for modelling the cars are already converting the standard cars to premium. This is why I very much doubt we shall see more premium cars as DLC for GT5.

I see GT5 as the equivalent as GT3 and GT6 will be GT4 if this makes any sense!

VW experts confirm that the car is a Kuebelwagen and the vehicle in front is a VW Type 2 23-window.

I see it the same way, except there was a 4 year difference between GT3 and GT4, which would be unrealistic for GT6. I can't even begin to imagine what GT6 will be like... Already GT5 sounds like more than I could ever imagine for this generation.

I'm just hoping they go more into detail about customization and upgrades, and hopefully something along the lines of a certain LFA! That and standard cars, see if they look any better!
