haha all good mate could see how at a quick glance the little bill bit above the wing and struts looks similar to the RB5 :sly:

Also has there been any mention of the T1 being in GT5?

Is anyone else hoping the mkII golf is making a return? Surely it would be premium if the samba is as well?

It isn't about performance or anything... it's just the looks of it. That F1 nose, along with the rear silhouette from the X1 teaser (looks like a wider F1 car) with a touch of LMP?

Hard to separate it from the Caparo.

Because he's the racing instructor. There's a rally, nascar, racing, AMG driving school thing in GT5.
 
It's already been said, and I'll say it again. That is not an F1 car. The wing and suspension are not the right geometry at all. Vettel is there to provide voices for the game. He's been recorded before, and we have heard his voice talking about a car capable of 400kmh in a prior video.

After having a F1 in GT5P, I still (want to) believe we should see something similar now.

Guys it's not an F1. The front wing column is too complex and is not allowed in the current F1 regulations. By this I mean the columns extend below the main plate on the front wing.

The sheet appears to show a fender infront of the wheels, I believe that it's an extention of the endplate, to neutralise the massive drag created by the open wheels. That is the single biggest weakness of an F1 car. The reason it has an F1 style nose and wing is because they are designed to channel air underneath the car towards the rear diffuser to create more downforce.

Currently in F1, the endplates are designed to channel the air around the tyres, because they are restricted by the regulations and cannot channel the air over the tyres efficiently enough.

Adding too much bodywork would make the car far too heavy and what you would have is just a LMP car.

EDIT: Just to add, of course it's going to be loosely based around an F1 car (Which means it's going to have strong visual similarities). Firstly, they are the fastest cars around a circuit in any regulated race series and secondly, Adrian Newey is an F1 car designer, what did you expect?
