Although (or maybe because?) I have been focusing on the negative aspects of the game, there are a couple of things they have done well I'd like to talk about.

One nice touch I find myself spending a lot of time with is the act of buying a car. When choosing the colors, being able to choose different environments to see what it looks like in different lighting is great. Not only that the premium models look breathtakingly realistic, the finish also looks great. The different kinds of lacquers (matte, normal, metallic) look very lifelike. This is something I love to play around with for some time, and I often can't decide for a specific color because so many of them look so good in a specific surrounding.

Can't remember anything else from the top of my head, but I think I had a couple more things I found to be a nice idea.
+1 they nailed the Premium graphics and carpaint. It looks photorealistic. Second too none in the gamingindustry.

Despite some of the criticisms of GT5, I thought there were some things I though was very well done:

Soundtrack: That soundtrack of GT5 is great! It is very jazzy, and sounds very classy. 👍

Physics: The cars feel great. RWD cars feel like RWD cars, and so on. Driving without any aids are fun.

Graphics: Obviously; those Premium cars are the some of the best looking I've seen in any game.

As a side note, I thought the Christmas music they played in the main menu at the holidays was a nice touch. :)

Allowing us to turn off the HUD via the 1.05 update was one of the best small things they've done imo, it been at the top of my wish list since I played GT2. Being able to go for a drive on Nurburg 24 Hour in my fav cars with no stupid arcade HUD clogging up the screen, gave a whole new sense of immersion to the simulation, love it!

Everything except GT planet members who post on every thread about how bad the game supposedly is :)
