Everyone knows there is a bonus documentary DVD "beyond the apex" that comes with the Blu-ray copy of GT5P.

Does anyone know if the european version comes with this DVD?
 
I don't think the documentary will be on a DVD but on the bluray. And yes, afaik it will be on the european version of the game.
 
Surely it will come as bonus. The European GT4 Prologue had also a bonus DVD, which was great.
(Bluray nowadays, of course)
 
Sure, but as far as the press release goes, the bonus movie is on one bluray disc with the game.
 
What's it about? all aspects of making GT5?
 
a Bonus movie on the blu ray. I checked the video section on the xmb. There was no disc showing up. so where can I find the bonus material ? or is that only avaible on the promo discs. (Got retail)
 
Nope it's not there, only the intro movie is in the GT-TV
 
strange, it could have code to reveal like the cars in the japanese demo?
 
I have a feeling the PAL versions wont get the "beyond the Apex" movie. :(

Few people have already got retail EU GT5P, no one yet has mentioned anything bonus.

Numer0bis in the above posts hasn't got any bonus material and he has retail EU GT5P.
 
I think they unlock this video as DLC for all regional versions of the game when US GT5P comes out at the latest. maybe PAL users get it on official PAL release date.
 
I hope it shows up on GT TV tomorrow. At the moment there's no connection to online content at all. I guess the servers are down until the official release date. But if it's already on the disc, it should be available in GT TV! Maybe it's a press release only movie? Or it'll come later on with the growing of GT TV ;)
I guess we will know more tomorrow as online features will get available, incl. the "News" section and online racing :) :)
 
Did anybody try playing it through the normal dvd/bd section on the PS3? Maybe its a HD video on the disk itself instead of a GT TV video.

The online for GT5:P is offline until friday.
 
I hope it will be on GT-TV too, Just incase it's not on the European disc :)
 
(just speculating):

Logically, if they're giving an incentive to people who bought the "Disc" version by giving out bonus material ("beyond the apex"), then it has to be in HIGH DEF and has to be on the disc, it just doesnt make sense for it to be a download, later on. Then why would it be only for the people with disc, if it's only a download, then why not for the people who downloaded the WHOLE GAME!

My guess is it is on the disc only and it could be viewed by playing the normal dvd/bd section on the PS3 (like steve30x said),
OR
I distinctly remember that in GT4-Prologue, you had to finish all the license events and stuff to access "it's" bonus material, which was more of a 'making of', too.. So it could be like that in GT5-Prologue as-well. I believe only amar212 can answer that..
 
Just as I suspected, PAL copy of GT5P does not come with the bonus movie. I hope it comes later as a download.

yes I tried that, the blu ray isn't showing up in the Video section of the ps3 and therefore you can't plat it, because you can only activate the blu ray player if a blu ray disc is inserted
 
It was worth a try though. But maybe it will be activated tomorrow. I noticed when the GT servers were down that all the videos I didnt download were no longer available so maybe thats the case

I really like their "making of" feature. Loved it with GT4-Prologue. Infact I remember watching it plenty of times and showing it off to a lot of my friends who werent into GT or Sim Racing back then..
 
Kinda a waste of money if it's not. good thing is i'm getting prologue for £9.99. Vouchers ftw :D
I hope it comes tommorrow :P
