yes it's true. I'm seeing it right now:idea:
is that already out? where can I order it?

ost = original soundtrack

GT5:P has been out for months in Japan and over a week in Europe, it's not out in the US yet. I don't know where you live but if it's the US then youv've got a longer wait since GT:5P isn't even out there yet.

No it's not, but he isn't asking where he can download the OST, he's asking if it's out since there downloads showing up on the web. The answer to the question could surely be found by looking at a game shops website, that will have the release dates and detaisl for order.

As expected, now playing online will really suck. Not only will this further ruin the online experience with a flood of illegal crashers.

Why would you download such a perfect game?, give the guys at PD a little more credit they do the job good, not like some other game makers (>read EA).

Er, guys...

OST = Original Sound Track = CD of the songs in the game. Nobody is going to be illegally playing the game by booting off a CD of mp3s... ;)

thx I should have wrote this before :)
I have both jpn and pal version. for sure I'll give my respect to PD with buying products :)

How can anyone think that people will play online with an illegal copy if the PS3 isnt even hacked yet?!

Look on almost any torrent site and you will see pretty much every PS3 game available to download (some being 25GB!).

But its a waste of bandwidth cos no-one has found a way to bypass the copy protection (yet) on the PS3!

Incorrect. As far as I know but haven't tried myself, there are certain private sites that have PS3 games for download that actually run on your PS3. But you have to actually know the people to get into the group or something along those lines, from what I've heard.

Mate, I can guarantee you that what you have heard is 110% BULL****!

The easiest way to understand how the copy protection system works is that to imagine that the disc has purposely placed errors.

When a PS3 reads the disc and sees these "errors" it tells the console the game is legit and from the correct region so it can boot up.

But NO CD/DVD/Blu-Ray burner on the planet can replicate these "errors"!! And when you read a game disc to an ISO file the software/burner automatically "fixes" these "errors" (when in actual fact it is just making copying the disc harder to do).

The ONLY way to get round this is if you own a machine that can press CD's/DVD's/Blu-Ray's! Thats how codemasers that make unofficial action replays/gamesharks get round it. They get their discs PRESSED!

Im not just some noob who dont know jack about the modding scene, I actually stay well with the modding scene for all consoles and have done since the PS1 modding days!

You really need to work on reading a thread before you post. The OP is talking about the Orginal Sound Track.

Most of those are lies. You'd need to trick the copy protection on the PS3, which would require some firmware or such hack.

And you have some funny facts as well. But seriously guys, read the thread before you post.

Next up, people have answered the original question and discussion much of piracy is pretty much a no no

1) I know the OP was talking about the original sound track but I was talking about the folk that thought this thread was reffering to a copy of the actual game.

2) whats so funny about my facts? It is well known that the data held within the disc that tells the console the disc is legit can not be copied with a commercial burner of any sort, and has to be pressed (like what codemasters do) or you need to use a FW hack to bypass the check or a modchip to "inject" the code that tells the console the disc is legit....

Well you are right and you are wrong. There is just a lot more to it now days than errors on discs. But its too boring and technical a subject to get into here, and with the PS3 being region free, if a mod chip does come out expect sonys lawyers to come out all guns blazing also.

Back to subject, yes it was out a while ago in Japan since February. You can grab it by import here: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-8l-77-2-49-en-15-GT5-70-2j1e.html

I used Play-Asia before and had no problems, I bought a PS2 Hori Memory Card back then and they gave me a $5 coupon for next purchase as well. Shame they don't do PS3 imports though to the EU.

yea I know, but I was just trying to get accross the fact that it cant be done with commercial equipment, thats all.

and I unforunatly know someone who got sued by Sony for big buck regarding the development and manufacture of such devices for PS2. He was working on the worlds first "no-swap" PS2 chip and almost had it in full production too! The development was finnished and was in the final stages of testing before going into mass production!

Anyway, lets leave it at that. Seeing as we dont want to get into trouble for discussing such stuff.

Why has this topic turned in to something about piracy?

The OP simply sited the GT5:P OST on a site for download and then asked where he could possibly get it legally?

To the OP: I have looked around myself in Australia for the OST, it is not to be seen around here yet, but I did get told that the official release is apparently suppose to be the same day as the US release of the Game. So you may not be able to get hold of it until then(unless it's the Japaneses version, still English or redone in Japanese? I dunno.). And the leaked version is probably someone who gather all the music them selfs, not a proper soundtrack.

This thread is being monitored. Discussions outside of the guidelines set forth by the AUP will have it's appropriate consequences.

I have included a link here for your convenience.

h3rman, thanks for your insight, I'm not into modding at any lengths, I was just saying what I had heard from people who claim membership of this private group. :)

Back to the original topic people! :D

I was going to make a joke about WHARE IS ALL DA 1337 WAR3ZZ b.. wait, I just did. :(
Pako is watching so I'll be a good boy. :D

However I'll be watching this thread too - if they ever make the soundtrack buyable I'm going to purchase a copy asap.

Nitrof1: Thanks for the notice!!!!! :D
Its only time before even PS3 games could be downloaded.... Although buying them would be so much sweeter. But yeah, now even a poor man could get something worthwhile without paying. 👍 So this is for the Japanese OST right? Any news on the US/EU OST of GT5P?

Edit: Ah never mind, I'll buy it if they are in store. Downloading it isn't worth is! 👎
