Does anyone know that, if you have preorderd the game,do you get all 25 cars and 1 mill or do you choose from one of the 25 cars OR 1 mill? i would realy like to know but i cant seem to find the answer anywhere!

The Amazon version you told is the standard version in USA. If you preorder the standard version at Amazon in UK, you will get 10 cars (precision pack + torque pack).

Amazon.co.uk

All preorderers will get the precision pack (5 cars) + a 5 car pack (car pack differs retailer to retailer) or 1 million credits (standard version).
The 15th anniversary orderers will get 20 cars + 1 million credits. By preordering you get the precision car pack too (overall 25 cars).

With Australia's Anniversary Edition whether you pre-order or not, it includes 20 Cars, 1 Million credits and all the extra bits, Apex II book, avatar, helmets, suits.

Ok but i was wondering if you acquire the anniversary cars upon first playing the game, or if you have to buy them.

I thought we got the pre-order cars as well?

I can only imagine the threads that will come up if cars are restricted to region as they were in GT5 :ouch:

Look guys, if you go on ebgames.com.au, it deffinately gives you 25 gt anniversary cars and 1 million dollars, but only if you preorder the ANNIVERSARY EDITION, not if you preorder any other version. i am asking wether or not you get the cars upon first playing gt anniversary edition, or do you have to buy them?

I live in Australia and I was told by the EB Games employee that you get 1M Cr, and all 25 cars.. but after doing research of my own on the Gran Turismo website (I think) it appears you get the million Credits but can only choose one of the batches of cars offered.. not get all 25 cars.

Personally I'm hoping you get all the cars but if not then choosing one batch will be a hard choice.

I don't think anyone knows for sure the answer to this, however going by how pre-order (and I assume Chromeline) cars worked for GT5 you'll probably get a PSN code to redeem that unlocks the cars and delivers them to your in-game garage.

Lol here at Spain is more simple...If you get the GT6 Anniversary Edition by pre ordering it, you get all those cars and 1 million credits as well.

Not sure why in USA they make it different, if you get it in one or other store.

Silly because this promo was made by PD not by the stores. If PD says "If you pre-order the game you get this and that...", you´ll sure get it no matter where you buy the game.

At least that´s how it works here.

So, just to clear things up.

On the UK Amazon site, there is only the option to pre-order the standard version of the game, which, if pre-ordered will grant you access codes for both the Torque Pack and Precision Pack. Both of which contain five 15th Anniversary Edition Cars, so 10 in total. Plus the 1 million in game credits.

There is no option for the 15th Anniversary Edition of the game on Amazon UK.

On Gamestop, however, you can pre-order both the Standard Version (£5 more on GS than Amazon) and the 15th Anniversary Edition. The 15AE includes twenty 15AE style cars and the 1 million in game credits. Plus a new version of the book Apex, and some custom paint chips and race suits, etc.

I've never been a Gamestop customer before so I'm a little confused as to where the pre-order bonuses are shown. I can't find anything about gaining an extra five cars when you pre-order either the Standard version or the 15AE. Could anyone help me out with that? Apart from that, it would seem if you're only wanting the Standard version, go with Amazon. You're getting 10 special livery style cars and some extra cash and it's currently £5 cheaper.

If you're wanting the Anniversary Edition, then it seems you have no choice but to go with Gamestop, atleast that's what I can find by doing just a little digging.

Promotion is not made by Polyphony Digital. All promotions are designed and made by regional offices of Sony Computer Entertainment: Europe, US, Asia and Japan.

American producers decided to make incentive as they did. I find it complete chaos, but it is their decision. Europe went more simple way, but the "pre-order" cars (precision Pack) will probably shed many tears and open many threads on GTP regarding that matter.

Japan got totally separate incentive, with 2 "Starter Packs" and Anniversary Edition which is not store-special.

All of that is modern marketing and goal of securing as much pre-orders as possible. However, such incentives never has anything to do with the developer but exclusively with publisher.

In what way? I was thinking America got the best of all regions. All you have to do is go to one specific store and you get every one of the 15th cars and the anniversary edition for the exact same price as the regular one.

pre-order the standard version at gamestop to get a free 15AE upgrade and the 25+ AE Cars. but i havnt anything about getting special paints or 1,000,000 CR from gamestop

In the US the Gamestop page says this.
GameStop Exclusive "15th Anniversary Edition Upgrade" includes the complete collection of 25 unique vehicles as well as a set of custom paint chips, custom race suits, custom helmets and PSN Avatars.
Lot of good stuff but no credits.

ohh, Cool. 👍 do you think that applies for gamestops in the UK aswell?

If you look for the anniversary edition at gran-turismo.com for the UK market, you can see, that you get all too.

Everyone gets all cars and credits for Anniversary EDITION.

It is the Anniversary UPGRADE that contains just the cars.

They have similar name's just to confuse us all!

I believe the Anniversary Upgrade is from GameStop only.

Ok now you guys have confused me. earlier on, gt anniversary edition was said to inclued 20 new cars and 1 mill dollars, right? But more recently, this was changed around slightly. I preorderd the game at ebgames (gamestop supported) BEFORE the update to 25 cars, and the website i ordered it from still says '20 cars and 1 mill', which pretty much means it hasnt been updated. does this mean that i still get the earlier version, or do i get the updated one?

SORRY! This was a glitch! dunno why it posted 2 times!

I think if you pre-order early on, you get a lot more than someone who preorders the week of. Either that your can get an upgrade, but yeah if you pre-ordered and they added something, Im 99.9% you'll get it.

My understanding is that the Anniversary Edition comes with 20 cars , but pre-ordering it gives an additional 5 bonus cars.

The Standard Edition comes with 0 cars , but pre-ordering it gives the additional 5 bonus cars.

Pre-ordering from a few selected retailers give better bonus in the case of Standard Edition.

GameStop - 20 cars ( in addition to the 5 car initial bonus )

Amazon.com - 1 million credits ( + 5 car initial bonus )

Amazon.co.uk - 5 cars ( + 5 car initial bonus )

The GameStop pre-order bonus is confusingly called Anniversary Upgrade.

The only way to gain all 25 cars AND the 1 million credits is to pre-order the Anniversary Edition ( from ANY store ).

OK! This is encouraging! i was getting worried that i ordered from the wrong website! Thanks! But no-one has answered my question yet! Do you get the cars upon first playing the game, or do you have to buy them?

I have ordered the Anniversary Edition from GAME (UK). The order confirmation I received tells me that I will be e-mailed my pre-order bonus code on GT6 launch day.
When I receive that code I will click on REDEEM CODES at PSN/Playstation Store and enter the code. Then I will be able to initiate the download from Playstation Store and the cars will be delivered to my garage.
I do not believe that I will need to buy the cars in-game. I pay for the privilege of owning these cars by ordering the more expensive Anniversary Edition.

That's correct. Now, IF it's like the Signature edition, you can not sell or delete the cars unless you delete the GT memory. You should be able to select one car at a time and leave the other cars in the PSN until you choose to access them.
