Hello,

I have been looking online for information about the game engine used to create GT6 and GT5 but I haven't found anything. Does anyone know what game engine was used to create this great games?

Thank you.

PD builds the engine themselves. I have also not heard of it being used by any other developer.

This one I believe:

The bloke in the background looks suspicious to me.

Fingers in his ears in anticipation of the explosion... I call sabotage!

(incredible photo, you can see the snapped supercharger belt flinging off! Looks like both heads simultaneously decided to part company with the bottom end!)

Edit

Just noticed the 'fire bird' sticker on the front end...

blower explosion. the nitro lights off in the intake and instantly disassembles the blower housing into an uncountable number of pieces. not visible in the photo are the straps in place to try to keep the blower from leaving the general vicinity of the car. they... help.

this is why so many tracks include an implied consent waiver on the back of your ticket or outright require a signed release of liability for such shrapnel-inducing events.

as for fingers in your ears, if you have ever seen, heard, felt and smelled a nitro car generating multi-thousand hp, you'd get it...

...and probably love it.

anyone know why i can not use shift or caps on here with my droid4's native browser, and perhaps a viable work-around

Interesting stuff. 👍 Are you involved in the sport?

Thankyou for the explanation.

I've been to santa pod many times, the fingers in the ears thing was just in jest.

nope. just enjoy any vulgar display of power. i don't care for top fuel or funny car racing, but i totally respect the tech involved and how its evolved.

for those unaware, the nitro i mentioned above is nitromethane, the fuel used to fuel the engine, not nitrous oxide. that said, a backfire while injecting nitrous can present a, forgive me, danger to the manifold. nitrous provides a bigger bang, where ever it decides to occur.
