How about u guys join my room eh?

500 - 650 PP EUROPE NO LAG

Mostly grip tracks like trial mountain, deep forest etc

People usually join and leave after 1 lap...

Why the **** do u want to race my Mitsu FTO Super Touring Car with your poor lambo/ferrari/audi or else ****, I dont know! No aero no fun! /this is a poor joke, please dont comment/

Fun fact:

I am in a room right now called "Fair Play Steet Car". The host has 420pp with Racing Hard tires and the room is full, 16/16. Of course it's chaos everywhere. See, these are the kind of rooms that are full.

Greek_W1Zard,

I don't know what to say buddy. You checked the regulations and decided to stay. I usually just leave and go tune my cars if I can't find a room I like. You seem a little frustrated with the current state of affairs, but the game is only a couple weeks old. Like someone else mentioned, people are probably still getting their garages together.

Nobody forced me to stay, I am just saying that people are digging this style of racing in GT....which is sad in my eyes.

Room ID?

most of the people I know have been enjoying the career mode, earning credits and stocking the garage.

Now some of us have a pretty good selection of cars and are getting credits built up so online racing should start to pickup

This is a perfect example of why the modes should've been separated. Online being barren because people haven't bought cars yet seems silly. Other online games don't have this problem, right? Online usage shouldn't be based on finishing the single player experience. Hopefully now people are seeing the downside of this concept.

LAzy, I am on your wagon there. I think the single player and online experience should be completely separated from each other. You should get if not all, at least most of the cars for online use, and have to earn them in "career" mode. Honestly, "career" mode has never been exciting for me. Stars and crap? Come on! If PD is smart enough to program this game, then they should be smart enough to create a more accurate freaking career mode, maybe one that actually simulates a career? start off racing, IDK, cars, or autocross. Build on your career from there, earn sponsorships, that kinda stuff. "Career" mode is now is just a bunch of nicely named single player races. and feels like angery birds, trying (well, not really trying) to get all three stars.
Right now though, as far as online goes, I'm not throwing all of my eggs into the hate basket yet. I'll wait a few months, make sure we got all of the updates and content promised, or not get them, before I get to critical of any aspect of the game.

Not sure what you mean by being separated, I mean they are separated already, Forza 3 and 4 did not have that problem because they granted gift cars at each level up to level 50 and the career mode was not worth playing, much better to race online in a private lobby. The biggest detractors from going online early in GT6 are 1: the credit payout is far to low so it takes to long to get a few cars. 2: career mode is actually fun and gives you some incentive to run through it as you get more credits and prize cars along the way.

As for other online racing games, they are either full on sims where you do not have many aspects of GT or they are just garbage so they have other problems.

PD needs to set up their own restrictions and rooms. Production cars tuned/production cars stock. Gt500, Le mans, WRC stages etc. Have little prizes for series winners like paint/suit or a random car
So long as we can still create our own public and private lobbies that would be ok I suppose. Some people like those but for the most part they attract a lot of people who just want to smash into something. Forza tried this in FM3 and it was enough to drive many away from the franchise and plenty of chaos on the forums in protest.

I absolutely hated the changes they made in the online racing from FM2 to 3. Even though they did add a few things that were cool the previous version was much better. 4 improved a bit over 3 but still not up to par with 2.

I do think however we will be seeing some PD lobbies with prizes starting next month

There's just way less close racing compared to GT5 and that is a massive downgrade on the fun scale for GT6. If this is due to the new physics or that people are having a harder time buying good cars or upgrading them, I do not know.

It has gotten better. Was in a room Racing Circuit 500-600pp. Picked a track and set it for 8 laps with 2 pits and you had to change tires at least once. Don't yet know if the 2nd pit can just be a drive through. Anyway good racing, strategy (started on RH and switched to RS after one lap), decent drivers. Got to drive a few cars I hadn't driven yet. Next time I host it'll be 8-10 laps with one pit.

Once upon a time, there was Quick Match :)

Oh, thanks! I thought you had some inside information there for a moment. So it was to be then wasn't... very interesting.

Pd is lost....second gt game this gen, no match making or quick match options in 2013..pathetic.

Quick Match
This mode is for those who want to get in and race online right away. Matching is performed according to preset regulations, and the race will start when there are enough participants. This feature will be added in a future update.

Coming soon in a GT6 update near you... ;)

you know I think a lot of people right now (including me) are trying to finish up single player first before they get online

I am hoping that we get more options for restrictions in online lobbies, leaderboards and an option to turn collisions off for use in tuning and hot lapping lobbies. Hard to judge lap times when drafting or dodging other cars. Also need normal car as a restriction at least, would be nice to have more detail there like super car, muscle car, hot hatch, roadster and so on and be able to choose this and also choose a min and max PP allowed as well as allow or not allow the Power limter to be used

I have finished the races in career mode and and working on some tuning now soon will be online racing on a regular basis. Hoping the Jan update gives us several more options online

Edit: another thought or three. would be nice if one make races were actually one make races rather than just one model. would also be nice to have a one model option under one make but would be good to be able to say BMW and allow only BMW cars to race. In addition to that would be nice to be able to choose from all the cars for one make races rather than just the few loaner options. Would also be cool to be able to set a lobby to where everyone drives the same car based on the host selection but that car being a tuned car from the host garage rather than a stock loaner

For those who are bored, I'd suggest looking into the multiple GTP series that are starting up and participate in the practice and planning stages of those.
