If the above article is ass, please DM me with corrections. I've been awake eight hours (which includes a one-hour flight) off the back of five hours' sleep following ten hours of travelling to get one hour away from the point of origin, because the plane we were supposed to go on ate a bird when it took off to come to us yesterday afternoon...

... and had to go back again, and the Collins booking system attack meant nobody at the airport knew a thing about it. Even the cabin crew were baffled.

And THAT all came after a GTWS weekend  I am not firing on all cylinders. In fact I don't know if any of them are actually firing.

@Famine i only scanned the article but didn’t see and mention that DR is off for C oddly this week.

Nice to meet you. I've posted a replay video of last week's Daily Race A. Please take a look.

Hats off man, spent all week there myself and that’s some feat, I thought my 1.39.8xx was impressive but yours is some next level car control 👌

👊

"the plane we were supposed to go on ate a bird"
Better than the other way around. 😉

Haven't been racing much but DID make some time for the 'Ring 24H experience. Figured out why I like this place soooo much...once you hit the woods it's like an illegal street race. No room, much consequence.🤣

Didn't manage a win but had a lot of fun for the P4 I managed in this one. On the edge the entire time, only over it a couple. Cost me spots but was still smiling:

You described the experience perfectly!
I dont get nowhere near the same level of excitment and joy with any other combo.

At first I was a bit disappointed that we had just one lap but in the end the sprint worked fine for me.

Now, I really need an endurance race of 5 laps with a day-night-day transition and dynamic weather at the Nords (as we have now at Le Mans) and that would be heaven.
If that thing happens some day in the future, I could even think in taking some free days at work just to enjoy it :)

Heres this weeks guide! Absolutely fantastic week one of the very best! I'll be racing more this week!

Just an FYI is you can change the headlight flash button to turn them on or turn them on and flash, helps a lot with the night portion of the race with visibility.

*edit the high beam not just the dipped beam that comes on automatically.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Grand Designs

A brand-new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races is now available, with three new events to tackle over the coming seven days with a bit of a twist to the setup...
I can hardly wait to do some qualifying for Race C, let alone actually race! It looks like an actual blast!

@Gurzu nice time on Race A m8, I needed to leave it alone today as I kept nipping the wall on the up hill to the right hander 😁 will try again tomorrow

Last week's Daily B was where I spent most of my time. I had the closest race I've probably ever had in my GT7 history, against an a Spaniard in the meta BMW. This week I'll definitely give the Group C monsters a go. It looks absolutely hectic!

This is new to me :ouch: because I only enter the wheel menu settings when I need to set a comfortably button for overtake when is available (on TTs mostly). This definetely will help for this week. Thanks!

No worries, I also find unsurprisingly that enduro spec cars have better visibility at night some because of the additional night bars but also the enduro lenses but that could very much be VR rose tinted glasses on that one

C looks very promising, from what I’m hearing! Finally utilising some time transition!

Agree, and good to see weather which is too little used. Odd that DR is off in C. Can’t recall that happening before?

Assume the trick in C is to try and make the mandatory stop coincide with a stop made necessary by the weather.

Thanks m8, don't worry, you're not alone. In fact I think there's only few walls I didn’t kiss. 🤣 Somehow is nice the Honda round this track, but a lil mistake means 3-5 tenths loss.

Interesting, I'll leave all of them on the side and hope for next weak. :D
They are all ok to actually race but the theme is definitely close racing this week.

That said I hate Catalunya and prefer it with the chicane just to be the odd one out but here I am racing it….C is fun just not my cup of tea.

Edit:

The problem with Barca’ is that you can mask being slow with being aggressive. Now in MotoGP you sort of expect it with the deep braking zones in cars it’s “more complicated”

QT will be massively important in B this week as the carnage and penalties will start to come down from everyone probably by tomorrow. The race almost always splits in to 2 packs after the first few corners

That bird just wanted to qualify for Race C but didn’t make the cut.

PD still haven't fixed the track drying in the rain, that means if you get a wet race at Le Mans you have to pit on lap 1 for the mandatory stop to drop to the back then you'll gain 5 seconds a lap on the leaders. It's a shame because driving in the rain is so fun on this game but at the same time the races take no skill to win (even I won 3 of them today 🤯).

Gave race b a whirl, tried several cars but as per last time we were here its the beetle on top but the lambobis very close and I may try that one again. Ran one race, ita tight racing, I need to find about half a second or so with a qt in the mid 42 range so far.

Race C is as good as it can be, both as a race and as a SR drain!
In PSVR2 the night to day transition is just perfect.
I have some couple hundred thousand km on real roads and it's the same feeling when the sun comes out.
What an experience VR is on this game....

😁 I wonder if he pitted deliberately or by accident!
Yeah I don’t know actually but he had a good grip on the race and surprised he pushed too hard around that last corner, it stood out to me because I’ve done that same thing, flew round the corner and somehow from the wall you end up in the pit 😁

I have used VR2 from the start of GT7 and yesterday I was blown away by Race C, with the neon lights, car sparks and the rain. Absolutely amazing, as for my tyre selection and when to change, well we can leave that for another day! 🤪

I would like to add the relaxation feeling of the sunrise in lap 5 with the sunrays glaring over the water puddles on the track.
I think it doesnt get any better than this on VR.

Given the fact that there is no DR involved, I have the impunity to shamelessly race from the back in top split to challenge myself.
Last to P5 was my best result so far and I decided I wont set a lap for this week.

I hope you guys are enjoying as much as I am this combo.
Thanks PD!
