Had a crack at Daily Race C today after a while of not racing and was pleasantly suprised by this race, very smoogy and wet but so much fun with the 787B, it was smashing the Saubers and then I got a good ryhthm. Penalties are very harsh though becuase of the variable weather and braking distances.

Overall I worked up 11 places and finshed 5th place, to achieve a great finish in this race.

@Gurzu nice race A time mate, I think that’s just a little beyond my reach, hats off. I managed to squeeze half a tenth off my time twice this week and ended up around 300 in the world so that’s probably my best I reckon 😁

However, I was surprised to see an A+ driver in my race this morning wall riding his was to victory, pretty shameful if you ask me, half the fun of that track is having concentrate on 5 laps without wall contact or the following pack are on you,

Hope you all had a good weeks racing

I was playing race A for most of the days until I discovered that Race C is much more thrilling because of the weather change. I played Race C 2 times in succession. My preferred car is the 962C.

Have played race B a few times but I don't like the Barcelona track. Hoping tomorrow we get a more thrilling track for Race B as that's the race where DR & SR are at major play.

Yeah I had some time on race B yesterday and got a time which had me in the top 8 most races, didn’t do it all week so I’m not dialled in like everyone else, but the RM tyres are good to race on, let’s hope for a good lot next week too 😁

Thanks m8, the '26 is for this evening. Since my SR got a lil hit at Le Mans (I'm now C!!!🤬), I pull the plug on La Sartre. Forever, I mean. The pit trick to gain back SR doesn't work at all for me. I got reset and 3 sec penalty 4 times in a row... Lost SR even dropping last leaving everyone pass at start, no penalties or contacts whatsoever, and still getting SR badly hit. I wonder how @Childe Roland does it at Le Mans, but I don't actually care too much (wadr) cause I'm never racing there anymore unless is DR-SR disabled (wich will never happen).
One of the worst weekend ever since I started with GT7. Now I need to race idiots and psychos to get back to SR S.

The Race C is so much fun. I chose the R92CP instead of the 962C & it was much more harder to tame and control especially in the semi wet conditions. The 962C felt more superior in many ways.

Love the 1 lap compulsion rule for this race.

Have improved my SR from B to S in a matter of 2 days of playing the daily races.

My SR has gone the opposite way in two races, just from being rammed from behind and getting penalties from hitting cars in front!

The first race I went from full SR to SR A, second race I ended up halfway down SR B - think I'll stick with Race A today.....

Had a fun Race A on Friday with a glitched start - for the first half of lap 1 it was like watching a race replay, and I wasn't in my car. All I could do was watch my car driving around on its own, ramming into walls and other cars, before regaining control.

By that time half of the room had quit.

I do think it’s annoying with the penalty rounding thing.

Guy in front has 1s and I pick up a .5s on the penultimate corner, mine gets rounded to 1s and his stays the same. I’d of gained a place if either it hadn’t rounded or rounded both of us fairly. Just annoying when the racing is so tight that I get an extra .5s and they just have their pen as is.

I'd prefer if in GT8 or even in the December spec III update all the cars are ghosted where no one can hit into a car & the other car going out of control gets a collision penalty.

It's sad that some users just don't enjoy the thrill of pure clean racing. If by cheating you'll come first, will you be getting some cash reward or a new house in real? I wouldn't mind coming last even in a race if that room is full of honest racers.

BTW, looking forward to 3 new daily races tomorrow morning.

In some ways I wish I’d spent all week at Catalunya, great racing this weekend, couple of wins by super close margins, one even by less than a tenth when I thought I’d got a pen,

Race A been great fun too, i just do well that Tokyo and wish they did all the alternative tracks more, but with lower level touring cars like this week

It seems that they modified something because the last time we raced here the "trick" of the pits worked more efficiently.
Now, as @afc5150 stated a few post before (nice to see you on track yesterday btw :gtpflag:) the SR pit recovery trick doesnt seems to recover so much.

That would turn daily races into a time trial with other ghosts on the track. Doesnt sound very funny to me.

Im also having a blast at daily C. Didnt set a lap just to race from the back and in one remarkable race I went from P11 to P1 in just one lap 😎

It should be hard to PD to match the quality of this combo so Im already prepared for the usual monday dissapointment

Edit: grammar

Did another round of Race C. It started with rain and 35% surface water, so I thought I’d start on IMs rather than the usual Racing Mediums. I thought the track was dry enough by the end of lap 5, but I neglected the fact that the pit exit, being less tread, would still be very wet, so I spun out when I exited on RMs. Q5/P7 - still fun!

EDIT: I did another one right after. Surface water was 16% but I thought I’d start on IMs again, if only to be safe. I recall switching to Wets at the end of Lap 2. Got a clean Q4/P6.

But its always yin and yang.

For me it wasn’t the race I wanted and that is absolutely fine, no DR??

But the next race in B was absolutely stacked so a very very difficult week

Edit: for my mediocre time and yes this is a sprint race that was mostly well behaved..,

I have weaker QT than I’d like but this is the reality for me all week. This ie just as hard as tire strat of an evening

Yeah, in race C it took me 5 races to recover my SR from around 10% to full S. 3 of those 5 were clean race bonus as well, with the other 2 just blue S.

I think there are no grayscales with this race. You love it or you hate it and I understand both positions.
The no DR is always a bad thing for me (I rarely do As just for that reason) but when the settings are this good (day-night-day cycle with dynamic weather) I can deal with that.

I agree, it’s mostly been a timing issue for me this week where I haven’t done more C and it’s absolutely amazing (as you know I’m a VR player!)

So I’ve just done the sprint races and honestly it’s been a line until someone caused chaos trying to go from 7th to 6th….

I do hope they keep this theme up but that B gets a better sprint format and A is back to either junior cup or just fun races.

Not a bad week just one that I personally was in the wrong lobbies….punching way above my weight.

I was apprehensive to try the Race C but once I played it, I got hooked on to it. It as fun, challenging & nerve wrecking as well.
