What re you doing at the Lesmos? Short shifting to 4ththen down to 3rd for rotation or holding 3rd, gear spamming 2nd for rotation?
Honesty time, I drive automatic. So looking back at the replays, I'm stuck in third and I'm on the anchors before it has a chance to change up.

It's so hard to lose SR it's not worth paying much attention to from what I've seen, it feels like you have to deliberately drive dirty for multiple races before you face any real consequences.

I can't figure out how to edit your post correctly to make the quotes work but yeah I've seen the same thing. Piledrive from the rear? almost always a penalty but not all the time! You can manip it based on brake zones/if you're slightly off track when you make the contact, whether or not they're already crossed up in some way.

Sideswipe contact? have yet to see a penalty even when the offender drives the victim off track. Here's something I see at least 3x per week no matter the SR level: Be side by side with someone entering the main straight and force the victim into the pit lane by simply not moving over. It's 100% an IRL penalty and sometimes racing series even change rules to prevent it (GG Indycar at Indy!) from being possible but in GT7 it's not only not a penalty it's not even hard to do. Watched 3 people have it done to them in Daily C last night. Zero options other than shoving the perp and potentially drawing your own penalty OR slowing down OR just being run into the pits. There's zero positive options.

I think online racing can be really cool. I just almost never see it and almost never have a good time doing it. I think online being functionally Free in GT7 AND also not having actual gated checks of skill is the fundamental reason GT7 online sucks. If it was painful to be a jerk people wouldn't be a jerk.

Its not the tires. You could put RS tires on Alfa 4c and still that border between DR A and B would be a mess. I think it is the dirtiest and most inconsistent drivers in all of GT7. As someone said. Mix of two kind of drivers - ones who are fast but not consistent, and ones who are consistent but not fast enough. Its 24/7 accordio effect.

Just make sure you have fast qualifying time and fast lap1 to have a chance to clear away from the dirt. It gets a lot more clean around DR 33k..
Okay, but getting an amazing qualifying time is usually hard for me.

Has anyone QT'ed into the 1:28's for Race C and can share some tips? Can't beat a 1:29.6. Seem to be fastest coasting around corners until i'm sure i'll make the turn then full power. Strange way of driving as I'm so used to trail braking and easing on the throttle but none of the A+ youtubers drive this way anymore

So finally got my wheel settings sorted, couldn’t for the life of me figure how I put a 51.3xx in qualifying and was only hitting 54s in race, seconds behind the guys ahead of me and it’s these damn Sen settings!

Luckily so far I’ve been starting top 5 and by pure virtue of the guy’s directly around me who are having mixed races, I’m finishing around the same,

Started now hitting 52s in race and hopefully by the weekend I can get pushing ahead, still not really liking this one car to use, Porsche gets swamped in the races, so does the viper, this nerf needs to come real quick, they had a good mix of gr3 being used prior to the update and it’s all back to square one,

I wish you luck. Shame the 992's been nerfed. I hope Angel Inostroza can keep up his team's winning streak in the Gran Turismo World Series this year in Round 3. He's an excellent driver, but he might lose to Ferrari driver Nicolás Arriagada.

On second thought, I was able to do alright in Race B just now, so, I think Angel Inostroza has a pretty good chance of winning.

Quick question.

While the Genesis is the new meta, are people really complaning about 1 car grids?

That has been the normal state since GT Sport.
I love (or loved. work and uni at same time does not allow racing like begore) being anti-meta and racing at least 3 to 4 different cars.

Sure we're not getting the fastest time, but the joy of driving cars you like, or even make people reconsider just having some personal choice, is sure comforting

Also, wasn't the 911 RSR per example, for most of the game a super safe and usually picked choice?
