I tried to report this player, apparently there is no longer an entry to report him because of his auto design like in GTS.
Yes there is.

Go to his profile. Find the livery in question. Select the three dots and pick Report, and the following options:

You can do this on the GT site after the fact, or directly from the lobby itself (select player, View Profile, User Page)...

Just been pit manoeuvered down the straight leading up to Indianapolis as a CLK didn’t like the fact I past them.
2nd chicane on the Mulsanne the CLK tries to divebomb, but went wide, and as I’m re passing them on the outside they close the door on me and run me pretty much into the barriers. Anyway the CLK back end clips mine and they lose time. As a result of this they full on pit manoeuvred me and didn’t get a penalty for it.
Does the penalty system change day by day?

I've skipped over a lot of Race As since gt sport came out but in my experience, race A this week is by a trillion miles the most dirty race I've ever seen held.

Every single one I've entered, almost no one can keep it clean in this car. Such a shame because the Radical is super fun but I'm not sure sports hard tires and laguna Seca were the best choice

Eitherway, inexcusable how filthy people are racing each other. In my experience of course. Even in the races I was given a clean race bonus, I was hit into the sand more than once by other people.
Hello campers, new member, first post be gentle.

Completely agree. Thought it was just me. I’m finding it hard to get any speed out of the Radical - it’s a thin line between under steering off and over rotating and scrubbing off speed. Plus it won’t turn on the brakes. I’m into the 1.39.5s with a controller but in a race it’s impossible as that time is on a knife edge. I got a 5 second penalty for door banging someone at the start and I’ve had another when someone tried on the outside on the corner onto the straight before the corkscrew and they went off.

In the other case in question for this ban, I was insulted by a player in the middle of the race as "disabled person ectr", to which I reacted after the race, but this to the best of my knowledge with a level-headed and acceptable language.
I got banned for telling a habitual rammer in the post-race chat that I would be punting him every time I see him, after watching him brutalize everybody for two consecutive races.
I didn't use any curse words. I simply issued a warning.

What I learned was to just go out and do it, and not put it in writing. You'll never get any heat from Sony for your actions on the track.

By the way, you can still race during your ban, if you've got another account.
I am new to GT7..what is a META car? is it car that has distinct advantage like the Atenza seems to have?

Welcome!!!

trick is to brake early. I got 1.37.4 with a controller once i realized that i went faster if i braked earlier rather then try to brake later and it helps to allow the car to go through the corner before hitting the gas. It is not an easy car on an easy track but it is a lot of fun to drive.
Did do a lot of practice laps with a ghost, that did help.

(Actually won my race, but it was a D and E level room, so no bragging rights....)

What kind of Pole times are you guys seeing for race A this week? Also, how’s the racing there been?
I've been seeing 1.35 and occasionally low 1.36 mostly as pole times. As for the racing, as long as you survive the first 3 corners you'll have a good race. There are quite a few divebombers though, and if you get pushed off track, you lose a ton of places. I find hugging the inside really tight is the best way to survive that first hairpin. The car is fun to drive you can really rag it around the track.

And on the question of bans for behaviour and language I can add information I got when I actually got someone from Sony/PSN/whoever it was on the phone to ask about a warning. They consider any interaction with a bully or troll in post race chat as you engaging in bullying as well. The advice I got word for word from the person was only ever apologize for making a mistake, thank someone, or say nothing. Even if someone threatens you with abuse or everything else, responding with a simple "lol" would allow them to class you as engaging in the bullying behaviour. Seems silly, but it is what it is. I still stick to those rules and let my driving talk for me, warts, mistakes and all

This isn't entirely the case, at least to my knowledge of how Sony's moderation works... but it's not exactly far off either.

In essence they look at messages either side of those reported, and if there's anything at all that can be considered antagonistic from either party it is taken into account when issuing warnings and bans. So yes, if someone's raging at you and you respond - even with "lol" - it can be perceived as antagonism on your behalf.

Thus it is indeed safest to not engage at all and just report.

And if you should say simply "reported" would that be considered "antagonistic" ?

Race B, running a Ferrari Gr.4 lovely car to drive but just can't compete with the 4x4s they have so much traction funny to watch them squirm about. What I don't understand is why under BOP regulation is the Huracan 319BHP/1470kg but the Atenza a fairly large sedan 393BHP/1380kg?

Race C I just have this image in my head everytime I see a CLK

They’re just boring cars to drive to boot. The new physics have made it even more so with the understeer. Gr4 is at GTS levels of dullness atm.

The variety is sadly lacking, i personally quite like driving the 4WDs, they are more fun that they were in GTS.

On handling tracks in GR4 the 4wds (or FF's in GTS) are always gonna dominate

I'd certainly imagine it could be, yes. I can't say whether it would be, because I'm not a PlayStation moderator...

I did one race in my scirocco gr4 bc i use volkswagon in manufacturers series & you really cant compete against wrx & atenzas when ur at 300hp vs 393hp & 4wd, im already at a disadvantage bc i dont hv a wheel..it is funny to see them flying off road bc they dnt knw how to drive the car, they only pick em bc its the meta, not bc they can drive to win, its use the meta to win races..sucks tho

Got down into the mid 1.38s and finally won my first sport race last night. That time had me 2nd on the grid a couple of times so I knew there was a chance. Made good starts (throttle pinned TC1) and managed to get into the lead. First race I led for two laps but couldn’t hold the guy behind me. Then some joker biffed me out the way and that threw me off so I ended up fourth. Second race same thing but I was much quicker than the guys in front and pressured them into mistakes. Leader binned it on the third lap and I held on to win.

theres something deeply funny about the idea that people spent years having to pick FF cars on GTS Gr4 daily races... getting a sliver of hope for GT7 being different.... and then realizing the Atenza and WRX are the new options.

So yesterday I thought Id enter the manufacturers for once... As an A/S driver I dont find the lobbies to be terrible on the dailies. Sure You get taken out every now and again but still, I dont think its terrible really. But the manufacturers.... It was just awful. Literally everyone I passed had a go at me, I insta decided Im not going back to that mess.

Everytime I'm about to break into the A rank ratings, it's divebomb and punt off track central from the other players. All the bad drivers suddenly appear and you just get thrown down into 10th or less. :(
