What's with fastest lap ghost on Race A cutting through a barrier? I'm 6 seconds behind without cheating.
Yep. Massive exploit. Have tested it. No penalty.

They probably wont patch it out because the race will be gone in a week.

It's sad that the developers of the real driving simulator are just going to ignore cheaters. They had a perfectly good opportunity to address this when the servers were down for maintenance.

I was in P1 twice, but everytime I was forced to pit and lost the race. I’m driving an Atenza, and I wonder how to save fuel. Am I obliged to go slower?!
My genuine advice to anyone doing race C this week is to use the GTR instead. No fuel mapping required, just some short shifting.

I am not getting credit for miles/km while driving sport mode. Therefore Driving in Sport Mode does not allow credit miles for daily marathon. Need solution. Will try to re install GT7 but bought digital game and do not know how to re install

Free practice doesn’t get counted, but race kms should. Are you sure they’re not registering? I haven’t heard of that before.

Race B is just ridiculous! If your in the middle of the pack cars are bouncing off the walls all the time and when people overtake it’s just bumper cars. One driver decided to completely shunt me from behind, I spin out but they carry on with a 4 second penalty.

It's a great race. Limited scope for overtaking. Stay patient, apply pressure and wait for a mistake. Don't get into a battle. Drop off and wait for the penalties to hit.

Either that or get pole and try to get away.

I love how different it is from Race A.

It does take a little longer than that, they need to prepare it. They always patched stuff like that in GTS, I am sure they will here too

It's highly frustrating, particularly when people do it in races.

I did it in qualifying, ended up with a stupid fast lap, never gonna do it in a race. Kinda felt I had to in qualifying to have even half a hope at a fair grid slot.

Hopefully they patch this before Fuji rolls around again.

One Race B run yesterday was enough for me ... not an appropriate circuit to race so many cars around with the penalties and level of close proximity racing it brings.

Got some credits saved for some Gr1 / Gr2 cars when they hopefully rotate in next week!

It's a good challenge but there are far too many idiots who can't drive with their mirrors or radar for it to be any fun to actually do.

That’s fair enough. Pole isn’t so important in this race anyway. In fact, I prefer to not be out front going into first corner.

They fixed the Daytona exploit pretty quick in week 1 I'd expect it to be sorted.

Not the greatest race in the world anyway tbh.

Agreed, gets messy, especially if you launch in reverse by mistake.

Thanks a lot, Man. I’m using a Logitech G29 wheel, but I’m going to learn how to change fuel maps. I’m still new to this world, so your help is really appreciated. Thanks again, really! 🙂🙏🏻
The +/- button on the G29 cycle through them (left thumb), and the rotational knob adjust

Looks like PD has deleted the cheating lap times from the race A top 10 list. :)
I think they have somehow fixed the exploit too, without a patch. Invisible wall there now. Didn't realise they could do this server-side.

I've won the race A. That GTO imo drives like a dream, lil limited but it's cornering is heavenly. That sound is good too. It's so good a car I'm thinking about importing one from Japan lmao
I'm experimenting with braking strategies on some sections of the track. Some of the faster drivers seem to brake mid corner to put the rear end out and straighten up.

What the hell???
They deleted my qualifying lap from race A. :irked:
I definitely didn't cheat. Maybe they wiped out all laps that were recorded before the update.

I’d love to do a Gr1 endurance race, but can’t see that happening. Did a custom 1 hour at Le Mans and found a great balance of tyre and fuel wear. Wasn’t much difference between playing it safe or going flat out, both stints seem to be a pit equal pace.

Dont own a Gr2 car but that GTR500 thing had so much downforce and grip on the missions menu.

You need to change your fuel map, using the MFD - Directional buttons if you're using controller.

Faster people can give better tips but for the Atenza for me I run full (fuel map 1) for 5 laps. Drop it to 2 on lap 6, 3 on lap 7 and 8 as well as catching slipstreams when possible, this gives me enough left to run 1 again on the final two laps.

I'm still playing with it though I'm typically mid-pack runner here anyway.
I too am mid pack level but managed to qualify 2nd and win race C with the Atenza..i pretty much did what you described above... Every time i do this race someone in a Suzuki Swift always comes on strong at the end and nearly beats me.

I've been dabbling with Daily Race C this week. The matchmaking appears to be much better in the evening (ps5).

I've been like the rest of the sheep and have been using the Atenza. I haven't set a qualy time, but my race pace is in the 55's or 56's (in my tiny brain it's in the 54's). Anyways, a guy right behind me for about 5 laps was driving the Suzuki Swift and on that same pace. Watched the replay and he was able to conserve more fuel that most of the field (nobody stopped). Obviously I can't see what he was doing regarding his fuel map, but just wanted to throw this out there for the people trying to avoid the meta car. I actually bought the Swift after racing/before logging off, however I couldn't be bothered to test it tonight. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.
Kind of feel weird quoting myself, but not really. The Swift is fun. It feels like the Atenza's younger brother, super easy to drive with good grip. It is slower on the straights though for sure, but quicker in the corners. And, no need to conserve fuel, it can run on map 1 the whole race. I'm about 1 second slower per lap (in the race) than using the Atenza, but really fun, like driving a child's car or something.

GT Sport had a few rare Gr1 Daily Race C's in rotation - obviously not a full on enduro distance but at least 10-12 laps with pit strategy required.

The best thing to do to get that fix of longer distance races is join a weekly league which regularly races longer distance races.

Gr2 cars have finally got a few new additions to the category since GT Sport ... the GTR500 Motul you mention was by far and away the quickest online but that may not be the case this time round (hopefully more cars are viable!)
