Just out of curiosity: Do you guys use the dg-edge.com site? I just found it, and had no idea that one could access all that data.🄳
Like, actual DR (the number) and quite a few other cool features like their Score rating, which is focused mostly on TT of both the actual TT's and the daily race TT's.
It just surprised me, that I had not found it before.

Interesting info, I like a good stat! šŸ‘

Late last night I finally completed my long-awaited planned upgrade to my DD Pro setup. The loadcell arrived last week and yesterday, the QR2 boxes arrived. Was past midnight when I actually had the chance to install the QR's so only did a few laps before going to bed but immediately knew it was way better than my previous QR1 setup!

Was super surprised how different the wheel performed, much more accurate and responsive! So much so that the wheel settings for the same car and spec (G70 Race B) had to be totally changed from last week to this one! What worked for me last week ended up being a complete mess lol so took me a while to get the right balance of grip and pointiness for the front end!

For example, Monday, I was setting Sector 1 times of 0:29:3 consistently but this time around, my best is only late 29:4's or early 29:5's but the rest of the lap, I gain around 0.4s from my previous best times....

That being said, and still tweaking, I am happy with the results 🄳

And now.. to actually race 🤣🤪

Also, as much as I pick on the dude - @newmedia_dev has been great in giving me tips to adjust to the new hardware over the past days! Many thanks, I appreciate it! Now enjoy the view of my rear 🤣😘

This sums up Race B right now, potential for some excellent racing but ruined by madness. The three of us here were having a fantastic ding-dong battle, neat, tidy, fastish, just excellent racing for 4.5 laps then bucko decides naaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh i'm gonna nudge you despite you having a massive lead into the braking area.

Driving the mazda is interesting, it is very fast on corner exit so i am gaining quite a bit through the last turn and murdering the G70 drivers through the sausage chicane and the back straight but it just doesn't have the legs, you see me get great runs but just struggle to complete the pass. I am also bleed a lot of time through the esses.

Yes, Im a big fan of Digits site.
Gtstats.live is another good tool to monitor your progress in real time

Haven't been doing much more than Race A's here and there lately, and been having fun with them, but it's not the same w/out Dr on the line, lol.

Went for a Race B run Monday to try and blow the dust off and it turned out to be a blast. Surprising given the bad driving, decisions, bounces, etc. I decided dive-bombing someone into the chicane could work (it didn't), went rallying multiple times and capped it off with a final lap pass around the outside of the last turn for P4 after geting the entry WAY wrong...cuttin' grass to pass.šŸ‘

Missed it, now I just gotta remember how to do it again.🤣

Does fitting a QR2 make so much difference? I like these little advantages, I found with ps5 pro when I got it I was faster than the same qualifying on the base ps5 so I may have to look into this 😁

Thanks for the video upload and amazing time, I just cannot get into the 39s in race B

It honestly does mate! It makes you feel more connected to the car, especially around tight corners - the steering is more responsive and weighty. It's slightly longer than the QR1, like maybe 2cm, but I noticed it so had to readjust seat lol. Oh, and I had basically bent the QR1 about 6 months ago so was getting intermittent disconnections, inaccurate feel and yeah, the steering wheel was leaning a bit to the right, which was annoying 🤣

How do you exit a daily race? After a race it takes me about 30 seconds
to get back to the main race screen and I have to wait till the clock runs down.
Then when I finally get back to that screen pretty much everyone else is gone.
I've tried hitting all the buttons and nothing worked, and I'm guessing its a
combination of buttons. So how do you do that?

Thanks for any help

Ok this is news, i have had the QR2 since I bought my wheel but too afraid to install it, i may have to now. Like adding racing stripes makes a car go faster i guess.

29.2 Sector 1 Glen? Go home you're drunk. I can barely crack 30.
I’ve just been watching boosted media YouTube channel about the qr2 looks easy enough, it’s going on the shopping list shortly 😁

Get it fitted!

And tidgney does a 29.2 first sector, best I’ve done is a 29.7 need to study bit more 🫨

@newmedia_dev seriously mate, that’s super alien friends list 😳 unreal time, šŸ‘

You really need to straighten that chicane if you want to improve. The "time" is basically all there. You travel less distance with a faster speed. The trick is to drive trough the sausages keeping them exactly in the center of your front end (your longitudinal axis should always hit the sausages). The first sausage gives a big hit to the splitter, but it's just noise and it doesn't unsettel the car. You need to get used to it, but afterwards you'll not pay too much attention to it. As soon you find your way to do so, you'll see the time dropping dramatically. I find it lil more difficult in the Atenza compared to the G70, cause in the G70 we keep the 3rd gear and can just focus on the "line". In the Atenza, I assume is a lil more problematic due to the downshift to 2nd, but evenly fast (or even more) compared to the G70 exiting the corner.

Thanks for this, I guess this perfect line through the chicane starts with good braking and entry/exit of the previous corner too? DTG has a lot of corners to get 100% right to nail, the one after the hairpin and the last always gets me, to get always right, together - my problem is that I’m having only 9 or 10 mins before the race starts and I should really just do the qualifying without the distraction of the race starting 😁

Don’t over drive or attack it, patience in the hair pins and double double apex corner, turn 1 is weird because you don’t have to brake but you do but it’s awkward to hit the same line twice. It’s a little like Kyoto T1

For the chicane, brake for the initial left and commit, don’t be afraid to lift as you reach them, if you are off line it minimises the bounce if you are on line you get a lovely smooth exit.

Go forth and conquer!

See I have tried this so many times but apparently i have extra wheels on the bottom of my car because i go flying. I really don't "know" where my wheels are so to speak.

That’s how I sort of feel about it, the thing is to line it up but turn once you get to it. It’s awkward.

The first sausage is fine because you can bail on it, (try not to!!!) it’s the second, you don’t drive over it per se, you turn through it. It takes a few goes but that is the ā€œlineā€

Well, there it is, officially in the 1.39s!

Couldn’t resist taking some laps in after all of this speed chatter 😁 this track is frustrating, I take it ā€˜slowly’ and I’m fast, I try to drive ā€˜fast’ and I’m slow!!

At one point I was chasing a 1.40.264, was 6 tenths up and fluffed the last damn corner!!! 😤 had an optimal of 1.39.6xx and a first sector of 29.5

Will try for better, another day 😁

Indeed, I forgot to mention the approach. Always hit the grey curb on entry. There is vital to find a certain balance, so your left front should be the far left as possible, but not enough to make the car bounce away from the curb. The right braking marker is the orange painted spot of the barrier. Before using that marker without going too deep on the braking, missing the left curb most probably to end out of line, I recommend not to use the 100m board, but rather the beginning of the external curb. That will allow you to maximise the "exit" from 1st left of the chicane. Having a slightly longer braking will help to get used to trail braking during the final part of the entry. By consequence you'll be more confy hitting the following 1st sausage. Leaving the 1st sausage, you'll widen a lil to the right before turning towards the center of 2nd sausage. Not widening to the right, means being too direct towards 2nd sausage, with the resut of being way to wide on exit (mostly going out of track).

Allow me to play the devils advocate:
You taking the outside at that hairpin is against the fundamental two rules of Luc Nodaro: Never go outside in the corner unless you know the driver and 100% trust him. And then I am thinking: He might have had a glitch in his situational awareness and thought you were more to the right than you were. Many times when I see the view of the driver who I thought was being dirty, I am chocked how "not dirty" the situation looks, compared to what I saw.
