I like the track, it’s not as full desert as willow but has some corners you just have to get right, some real speed needed.

Don’t think it’s a gr3 track though, could never get that one going there. Gr4 however races well there imo

Solid technical track

Irl, IMSA and Indy car race well there. I agree, though, in the game it gets hectic and crowded with Gr3s on track.

More decent racing at Gardens tonight, quite enjoyable. Only issue can be the tight left at the end of the back straight, if I am say 6 tenths up I don't defend, I take the racing line, guys eyes light up and they thing the door is open but yeah...I have to turn in. You need to be closer than that peeps.

It is a shame that a technical track like this with a quad apex turn, a double apex final turn and a tricky esses complex still sees the Porsche GT4 uncompetitive. This really should be a place it shines as it is nice to drive.

Stuck at a consistent '39.6 for now at Dragon, with an ideal significantly lower than the "low '39" I was aiming at the beginning of the week (I'd say ridiculously lower). Now it's just a matter of keeping it calm at last corner. You all know what I mean, guys 😉. I'm at a glance to get back to DR A too (only 148 pts below 30'000), to continue my yo-yo journey between the DR A-B categories. It would be good to rank up and capitalise during the weekend, whilst taking some pauses to follow the Le Mans 24 hrs race, wich looks to be quite thrilling this year.
Enjoy your racing weekend.

It feels like you have to take the first chicane unbelievably slowly on entry to gain the time. I've managed to get in to the bottom part of my friends list now with a 39.4 something - which still has me around 8th on the grid anyway 🙄

That extra tenth of @newmedia_dev and @TechnoIsLove would be nice but very hard to achieve 🫡

Glen, never give up, m8. It's neither a load cell, nor a QR2 that makes the difference.🤣
@TechnoIsLove

Fine.

Improved a bit to a 1:39.259 and shared the replay in game.

Here are the VR and Bumpercam laps. In VR you can see that I’m following Jack Balding who is the current P1

Nice work mate, these laps almost defy logic, 2nd through the chicane, 2nd through the final corner, tidgney video led me down the wrong path, 🤣

I managed a 1.39.8xx which was within half a sec of you guys, 🙄😁

Great seeing this one slugged out @TechnoIsLove hats off to you both

I switched to the Atenza so that’s why the gearing is a little different.

Otherwise all of us and you are going quicker and quicker than ever!

Just to be transparent me and Techno WhatsApp so it’s not as brutal as it apoears. We are virtual friends

I think you guys will enjoy this little snippet from race B at Gardens.

I mean, you gotta love that neon green rocket swiping across as a grand finale.😆

Also, after this wonderful race, I did one more that took me 2000 points into DR A. Probably not gonna hang around there for long, but it is always a fun place to visit. 😝

PS: This being my first GT7-to-youtube video ever, and I see it is a bit too bright. What is standard procedure to get it to look "normal"? (Meaning, without having to run it though a proper video editor, which I can do, but I would rather not.)

Sigh.

When you see that amount of renta cars and then those standards.

Well done friend for being as controlled as you were. Amazing mate

That looked mad, 6th to 11th to 7th, 🤣

Looked like a bar fight gone midnight 😂

I thought about this a little bit,

I always loved the Atenza in sport and also earlier in GT7, seriously it’s a G70 slayer 🤣

On the first lap of a new QT, took a tenth off so by my own rules I’m racing the Atenza from here on in.

Won a race in the G70 the race before and had been running that car all week, jumped in the Atenza and Wow, I think I’m faster in that. Apart from the hilariously failure to win which I captured the last corner only, the next race I certainly put to the sword 3 G70s!

Interesting weekend ahead

Epic fail

Solid win

Hi all. First time poster and new driver here. Only been playing GT7 a couple of months for a few hours a week, mainly competing in Race B. Finally got my first two wins yesterday and subsequently moving up from DS to CS. I've gotta say, you really notice the difference in the quality of the drivers moving up just one grade! I'm now gonna go back and study the track some more. Got to knock at least 1 sec off my time to compete in this new grade.

Thanks @brockie . Seeing some of the times posted above of some of you guys posting 1.39s on dragon shows how much i need to improve. My quickest lap so far is 1.41.508! And that felt like it was perfect. I suppose that's the name of the game isn't it, chasing perfection, but never quite reaching it.

Absolutely! 😁 we’re always looking up! Your lap is decent, you just need small tweaks in braking / coasting / accelerating to gain time and a bit of luck of course.

There’s times in here which always make me 😳

🤣

Yep, for sure! I think I know where I'm losing time. Not happy with my entry into the esses. I'm practicing my trail braking, but I think I'm entering the first bend too slow. And my exit from the hairpin and double apex hairpin needs to be quicker too. I'll get there. 🙏

Thought you were going to overtake - I didn't expect a 20mph boost 🤣
I had a good gap behind me, so I thought it made sense, knowing you are a faster and more experienced driver. I would probably have felt the pressure of passing you, with the risk of making a fool of myself in the next corner. So while not "optimum" racing, I was very happy to give you that bump.
Although it might have been on the threshhold of what the game would not penalize. 😆
