The A112 again? C'mon, PD...so many good cars are being ignored that could be a blast for Race A. Do these guys need some help in the Race A creativity department? I'm free if they want some fresh ideas.
The last time I raced them at Fuji it was very entertaining. The pretune makes them very sharp. You should give it a try!

Did you take a small break because I haven't seen you post in a while here. You like the Genesis, I'm a fan of the Porsche car. We have different likes for cars, :)

Enjoy racing this week mate and avoid those immature drivers. Stay strong. I don't understand why PD likes to choose Deep Forest so much for the daily races. Watkins Glen too, and don't get me started on the Maggiore business.

And the BoP regulations sucks the fun out of the races because it limits power. And any tuning mods or things from the GT auto will be neutral meaning that the settings will always be reset. I haven't watched your video yet.
Good to see you again, sir!

Haven't been racing much lately due to real-life stuff. When it's freezing outside I can make excuses to stay inside...now, not so much, lol, and all those winter excuses caught up to me.😁

Couldn't resist DTG last week and was finally able to notch a bunch of these y'day:

I like the line-up this week so looking forward to it.👍

Take care!

That's why I have been in the Custom Races for the last month. My Abarth cup is still the best racing, and now I am building a Clio Cup. I scooped up 7 more before the disappeared from the UCD.

I decided to get involved in dailies this week to make sure I didn't get rusty. Win 223 :D

So, the dailies have their place. If you want to race against people, go dailies. If you want to explore your garage, the Custom Sophy races (with boost set to weak, never forget that part) is where to go. I have been using cars I haven't touched since the game was released.

For comparison with the dailies (for those who don't know this yet), I grabbed the last lap of an Abarth Cup race I had saved. I blew T1 and Sophy caught me. Also, just FYI, the cars with the extra Sophy badged have 5pp more. I boosted three of them for an extra challenge. Unfortunately, Sophy isn't very fast with GR3, but if you are looking to use the other cars, then it's perfect.

This week, seeing at the BoP GR3 cars are +/- 700pp, which is where I set my Sophy "Group3" races at, I want to do a comparison between The BoP's Ferrari, and some of my garage cars built to be classic GR3. It's a bit of a shame that this week's Catalunya layout doesn't support Sophy yet.

I've pretty much given up with the dailies for the time being. Still working to complete all single-player content. That said, your Sophy race looked good. I don't do those though as I can't stand the stupid Sophy beeps and emoticons. I find that totally pathetic; I don't need to know what Sophy is "thinking". Why can't we switch them off?

That said, Race A looks like fun this week and C is tempting but I'm busy and going off on a 4 day mountain biking trip Wednesday so won't have any time to race.

Unfortunately no. I agree that I don't see much value in knowing what Sophy is doing, but it's a small price to pay for the fun that I am having :D...also, turn on the penalties. Make it like Sport Mode. It's more rewarding and keeps you honest.

Had a good run of races in last week at Laguna. Not all of them were good but still enjoyed it overall. The best result is a victory from 16th!

Spent most the week racing from behind in DR.B lobby with enough good result to end up DR.A.
Once I qualified with a 1.22.6, I was fast enough to start in the top 5 but most of the time I finish the race lower than my starting position.

I also chocked on a possible win when I was leading, I got 3 sec penalty for pit entry and 2nd didn't pick new tires. So even thougt I serve the penalty, i knew I could catch back up to the leader with bad tires by the end of the race. Unfortunately, I messed up the Corkscrew and ended up eating gravel and finish 5th.

Looking foward to race that little mean Abarth!

Did some recon laps to shake the rust off.

Race A: A112 Abarth '85 - 1:41.685 Floaty suspension doesn't inspire confidence through Turns 3, 4, and 5

Race B: NSX Gr.3 - 1:42.934 Always have trouble here

Race C: NSX Gr.4 - 1:57.228 Need to get Turn 1 and the bus stop chicane less wrong

I like pre-tuned street cars. More of that, please.

I fear Race A this go-round is gonna be like the Superbirds @ Daytona were for me...I won't MEAN to spend all week there, but probably will. I also think we're about to find out just how many Abarth's fit side-by-side around (most of) DF.🤣

Nice QT, btw!

EDIT
Floaty suspension inspires confidence NOWHERE, you just kinda hang-on for the entertainment value, lol.

Here's this weeks guide for those interested! I like the Abarth A112 but I hate the track choice, the track limits seem overly brutal 🙈.

Just subscribed on YouTube. Your guide helped me massively last week on Dragon Trail. Great content mate. 👍

Had a quick blast in qualifying on race b this afternoon before work. Used the BRZ GT300 (definitely the wrong car!) and got a 1.43.9, which for a noob I'm happy about for now.
Will do some swatting over the next couple of days and jump in again. Aiming for a happy 1.41.

There's really nothing we can do about what PD chooses each week for us. Someone needs to give them tips and more training on how to properly make better combos for the races. And they seem to keep choosing the same tracks when we've already had them before. We need new original ideas that can enhance more fun and swiftness in the game. The A112 is a slow car and it's not that enjoyable to drive unless it had a higher amount of power and throttle input.

Ok, ok. I'm sorry. I'll pay attention to the article from now on. I looked up the term asinine too. Let's all try not to be harsh. We all have to bring positivity to this thread. I mean well but I read the articles 50-60% of the time and I miss critical information of what's going on per week.

Race B tonight, tried the Lambo and wow what a delight to drive, much better with a wheel than on a D pad. I never really put down a decent lap so will need to come back to it as I think I was playing it too safe on exit.

Next tried the Ford GT, felt good as always but lap time was not quite there. Tried the bmw m6 and bit felt cumbersome and huge, not my cuppa tea.

Entered a race (BS lobby) with the 911 with a qualy of 41.7 , this car never feels the same lap to lap or corner to corner to me, I have a hard time judging corner entry with it. Finished p13 after starting p3 and binning it at the chicane, more on this later.

Decided to go back to the Beetle and hustle it, got my qualy down to a 41.2, I think I can get into the high 40s with it, its mid corner speed is epic, you guys need to try it. No horspowers though but mercifully it starts fast.

Led from pole and was never bothered.

Gonna run the Babybell livery this week, a break from my usual V8 touring car routine.

So that chicane, its the only place I am losing time to peers in BS lobbies, if I lay on the gas early I spin, if I don't, I'm slow. Will need to work on that.

What a great little race that race A is, super clean and that little thing is fast as hell 😁

Think I’m hooked, have a 1.41.7xx and that’s putting me bang in the mix

This upload was a belting race, almost imploded a couple of times, fair play to me fellow racer for making a clean affair

I ended up doing two races. Both were marked with penalties. The first one being that that I was getting used to the handling of the car with a full fuel load. Ended up coming in third even though I still got fastest lap of the race. And the second race just made me laugh at the end. I’ll let the video do the talking.

Hotlapping following a ghost is not the same as racing with others with a full tank. My 1.39.9 in race B always puts in the top 3 of the grid, but I always drop in the race, I'm just not confortable with that Lambo.
