I’m really interested to know how I’m the dirty driver here? Apart from him forcing it at the begining (thanks for the room….oh) I braked in a straight line and he tried to go wide to take the line but too early and pitted himself.

Lobby is all A/A+ in the NA servers. I’ll hold my hands up if this was me but it really didn’t feel like it then or on reflection.

I can tell you who the clean driver is and.... it's not Glen 🤣 See what I did there? 🤪

I mean if he's decided to drive left into you on a straight in the braking zone when you're already alongside a little, that's his problem not yours. You did nothing wrong!

Perfect example of why the penalty display is terrible.

Cannot even see the apex! Absolutely no reason why the display couldn't be in line with the lap counter.

To sum up a weekend of racing at Autopolis, let's put together some figures. Starting Saturday from DR A (30'994 pts) and finished the day in DR B (19'076 pts). I'm not joking.
@TechnoIsLove we're on the same boat. I was literally fuming for the driving standards encountered, but I noticed that, as soon in free air, I had more pace than average.
Sunday was therefore "vindication day". I just learned how to survive at 1st corner on the Lambo vs all those G70s against which I was always just a sitting duck at the start exactly like @Barney Da Dog mentioned. Afterwords it was a matter of recovering what was lost at start with simple pace; and it went very well. I ended up recovering to DR A (32'458 pts), thanks to some solid runs (some wins also, always pitting 8th to 10th lap). Another yo-yo weekend. It's on PD (btw) all the carnage at 1st corner. Slower guys could just jump in front with the G70, elbows out and (also with the momentum granted from the let go) make carnage. Then the penalties are a joke. Still I raced eventually in excellent lobbies with fair and respectful drivers, but only 1 every 4 races as average (wich it isn't so good).

Edit: in picture it's easier...

Peaks and valleys this week at LM. Could NOT get my stuff together for QT or racing but fumbled through it anyway. Landed some podiums and did muster a win to sorta balance that DFL a bit, so not all bad.🤣

This one, though, this was a treat. Blew it going into the hairpin at the bottom of the hill (T5, maybe) on the first lap which cranked the 'suck-O-meter' to 11. It was exactly what you hate in elbows-out sprint races but we all survived so it was a freakin' blast. Started P4, ended P5 with lots of position changes throughout. Had some great side-by-side stuff and managed to end the race with SR white, which was totally unexpected.😁😇

Fingers-crossed for something good served-up this week!

It really really is bad, but I have a tip, start to focus less on the actual apex and more on the exit. You will naturally start to hit the apexes smoother if you are looking further down the road.

Edit:

A: GTR R34 V2 - Watkins short SH
B: Gr4 Nurbs GP RH
C: Gr3 Redbull Ring RM and RH required

It's such a downer when you make an effort to get ready for the first new race of the week...and it's the Red Bull Ring.

I've just ordered a new laptop, which will be iRacing capable, so I may be off there soon, plus a bit of DiRT rally 2 or EA WRC for a bit. Since the end of the last GTWS series I'm just not getting the motiviation to do these boring repetitive dailies anymore.

What are the specs it needs to be able to run iracing. I’m tempted to do this too, or get one of those mini-PCs (have no space for a full size gaming computer where I race).

I'm hopeful that PMR in November will have a decent online offering. Until then I just hope for a new track or an interesting daily A like the Autobianchis. The Gr3/Gr4 races on the same old tracks bore me to tears now.

It came out in 2008 so it's a really easy game to run at its core. It's been built up a bit but it's by far the easiest sim to actually run.
Long as you have 16GB Ram and a decent CPU you'll be fine.
I think any off the shelf ' Gaming Laptop'from the modern day will work, that's pretty much what I have and it runs it at 4k.

Le Mans Ultimate is actually quite easy too considering its base is rFactor 2 and that came out in 2013.

Could race A be that banger I’m after? Gr4 nurbs sounds ok,

Wasn’t able to race yesterday or will be able to day because I have family up and my game room is now a friggin bedroom 😁

Have a good week all

Every week it's the same car groups, the same tracks. What's so fun about these slow ass Gr. 4 races? There's been only a handful Gr. 1 and Gr. 2 races in the last two years. Am I the only one, who thinks faster cars with high downforce are more fun to drive?

That’s good to know!

I’m due upgrading my pc this October as no fresh updates can be gotten for my old windows 10 - so I may well just do that 😁

Race A was my second ever race in Daylies with joipad last year, but the 1st where I really start to get the virus. The actual 1st was at SSRX, but I don't count that since in DR E lobbies you can imagine that from contenders the ability to keep the racing line was, let's say, rather approximate. I also shared my first video of that race, recovering from an idiotic punt at 1st corner, to be back 1st by the beginning of lap 3. As an anticipated anniversary I'll be at Glen for quite long this week, then maybe some Nurb GP in the weekend. Below my results from last year. I'm curious to see how much can I improve that. have a wonderful week, guys.
