Been really enjoying B this week. Can see from the posts on here that I’m not alone.
Love the flow of Sardegna A. Real old school road course.

Also it’s more competitive than any recent race B I can recall. Was in a B lobby yesterday and there was ~2 seconds separating P1 and P16 QTs! My qualifying time is 2.8 seconds off the fastest time and I’m only ranked ~13,000th!

One good thing about racing at SSRX is that you definitely don't need to bother with trying to stay sober.

Let’s be honest here, you’d rather not be sober to do it!!

Generally crazy week I personally want to see the back of. I didn’t like any of the 3 and when I forced myself to do B I didn’t enjoy them this correlates with my daily mileage looking at the graph

Well after an entire day out at sea, came home to try one final race at Sardegna this week - Jumped onto B account with 3 laps to set a time and started in P11. At the start, I already had rear damage at T1 (lol) and was expecting hell but overall, for once, things went my way and I ended up gaining 5 positions overall to finish in P6 with a clean race bonus.

Could have been worse 🥳 😅😎

Hope everyone had fun this week with SSRX. @sturk0167 man I sure miss the peaceful times with the SSRX sport mode races. Sometimes I would get easy wins, even some top 5 finishes. But other times, I finished almost last, but I was at a middle C rank too, so that was probably why. I don't worry about ranking anymore. I do races for pure fun and excitement.

Last night, I accidentally discovered a "hack" to avoid getting punted at Monza if you start on pole: just don't bother braking for the chicane. If you go full speed into the chicane and blow through it and get reset, you'll just ghost back through everyone and likely keep the lead as they trip over each other, or at worst lose a couple spots (which beats being punted...). I accidentally outbraked myself the first time I started on pole and kept the lead despite resetting.

Speaking of qualifying, here's my fastest lap of 1:23.394, good enough for 157th the last time I checked:

I fear brands Indy won’t last too long until it gets boring, full circuit would be nice,

Let’s see what’s this race A looks like otherwise I’m the you of last week, this week 😁
Yeah agree, with the Indy circuit feel it needs to be mixed up with atleast a mandatory pit.

Think a little more imagination would go along way, instead of catch all gr4 make it gr4 FF only mandatory pit with 5x tyre wear, even enough time to make 15 laps? Can’t be that hard?

We had this a good while ago with Race C with the Indy circuit Gr4 over 20 laps and was excellent with real touring car vibes.

Race C would be interesting if it was Gr.2 cars.
Race B should be on racing soft tyres
Race A might be what I do this week if its fun.
I miss the the F1 car from last week already.
At least one race a week should be wet conditions too.

The road back to SR S starts with a win :D (#226)

Since I'll be hanging out in Race A all week, it's nice to have a good one. Top Gear top tip, you don't need to use brakes. Engine braking is sufficient if you're on the fast line.

Yeay, Snap! I won my first race this morning as well although I have a suspicion that P1 deliberately let me through.

I can´t understand the love you guys give to this hell of a track but I promise to give it another chance tonight.
For me at least there are two reasons:
  • All fast bends except 3 and 4.
  • Last corner, when nailed, is one that gives shivers.
The risk to go visit the desert in its amplitude is high, but worthy.

Edit: I'll be on bench for a while, cause today was my 1st day in a new company. I'll be home just during the weekends till I'll find a new accomodation in the French part of Switzerland near Montreux.
The good side of the change is the higher salary that will allow, with a more pleasant living, to invest in VR2 visor and DD wheel very soon. I may be doing some A races on Saturdays, but no more than that. So, good luck guys, I'll be back regularly in ar 3-4 months.

Great QT you have there! Great race result too.

I can't quite match your time, but I thought I'd give it a go whilst waiting to join Race C - started 3rd, first 2 went wide in turn 1/2, gave me a clear run to the win!

Used the M6 for my first Race C, started 8th, got punted way across the sand halfway round the first lap, but managed to recover to 8th. Got a DR up, and SR back to full, and decided to try my favourite from last week, the Hyundai.

Immediately knocked 0.5 seconds off my QT, and then found myself on pole 😬 - managed to keep it out of the sand to take it all the way to the win:-

Back up to DR B now, first time I've been there for weeks!

For A and B this week I do recommend working on the qually time as I suspect by Wednesday people will be easily dialled and track position is going to matter a lot.

C will be about consistency, for the peeps that like willow it will be a great race, for those that don’t like it or struggle with catching a wheel in the sand it’s a great place to practice car position and throttle control.

I’ve managed to put in fairly competitive times across all 3 so looking to have fun this week and creep my DR back up again.

Edit:

Here is my VR lap at brands, I set the exact same time earlier in the G70 but after a race and 5 laps I matched it exactly in the Scooby (I think both are viable just the scooby handles the final 2 curbs fractionally better and less diff loss)

I’m following the current world number one time (again these gaps are flattering given that this one is about tenths and hundredths
