It's Labour Day here in Canada so I've had a chance to do a few races at Deep Forest -- still driving the Ford GT Race Car '18, training for the next Manufacturers Cup season, whenever that comes.

Already, this week is one of my best ever...

My first all-B lobby of the day. Started in P2. The leader crashed on lap 4 and from there it was simply a matter of churning out decent laps. My 17th win ever, and my first in a Gr.3 car in over a year. Happy days!
 
I have to say I’ve been fairly disappointed with the standard of racing this afternoon.

There have been some Spanish A+ guys that have been truly awful to race against, dive bomb and lean on you, crash so put you in to the barrier when passing them.

This is the only thing with Sard A is that as it’s the grind race so many people treat real players like AI.

I’m hoping there will be a broader lobby range now work is done and the evening crowds start to come online

I think qualifying is going to be imperative for B this week, was in a race with Kie going from the back and it’s really hard to pass as the pace/car are so so tight

This just reminds me of the GTsport race for gr4 towards the end at Sardegna A which was going on for a month, I ran this Megane and got a decent time and rinsed the bugger 😁 then I see the Mazda 3 is the meta! Decent

Thanks again @Gurzu and @Brinki , i saw all three wheels you mentioned for 280 euros. And i decided already. G923 it'll be +ps5+"a cockpit" i only have a glass table and i can imagine my Maltese dog will bark at the wheel if it makes sounds,. Maybe i buy a Ferrari bed for kids and use duct tape to fix the wheel.. That's even topping a vr when it comes to immersion 😂 I'm obviously not serious. From October 1st i start chasing you " old geezers" maybe i become famous and the second GT movie will be about me, just because women, you know how the world changed 🙄...

Race A is a bugger of a derby. That downhill section you can really lose control, the penalties are hard to spot. I've managed to come from 10th to 2nd in one race and 3rd to last in another. And when the car understeers, no amount of reducing the speed allows you to rotate, if the car says we're having a trip to the wall..

Use the brakes to get the angle on, ride the slide and then power out.

It’s tricky but basically a tarmac rally. Do a few laps holding a higher gear (4th) and coast/slide through the apexes, it gets easier.
 
Chuffed to have got a maiden win at the first attempt at Sardegna, didn’t expect it as I started 3rd and the two ahead, were in the mid 51s,

In the end 4 of us were pretty close all race, all clean but I made a move stick at the end of lap 4.

Just need to improve that QT in to the 51s

Don't know what time this was, but I recognise some of the names on there from my races this afternoon - we may end up in a race together sometime this week!
 
Cautiously optimistic for Race B this week after watching some race replays and not seeing too much filth! 😅 🤞 Well done Barney for the win!

I don't really like the Mazda but know how to drive the damn thing lol.... I know I can break into the 1:50's (optimal before new session was 1:50:822 but I need to be more consistent in Sector 3) but that, and the racing itself, is a tomorrow problem as I am off to bed 🤣 But I think it should be fun!

Have you engine swapped it? i was going to when i decided to do it on the Avantime for this race
 
Group 4 is quite fun to chuck around Sardegna A but TBH I suspect it is a bit too easy and everyone will be within a 10th of each other. I set a low 52, optimal a 57.8 and i will get there eventually. This is within 2% of the top time after just a dozen laps so I suspect this is just a very easy combo, will see once I get to racing tonight.

Exactly the same in B S, had some absolute clown in a Mazda 3 manipulating the FF stability by forcing himself into the smallest of gaps from behind between the walls and adjacent cars braking into corners thus forcing the lead car into a spin and him just carrying straight through the ghosts.

Makes me wonder why these types get out of bed in the morning!
