This is the third week in a row of unimaginative and repetitive combos for race cars at least.
That awesome race that we had at Le Mans seems like a mirage right now.

Not holding a strong stance on it but definitely feel that a devils advocate position can be put forward.

1: predictable races counter the arguement I had about last weeks races especially in A

2: people learn through repetition, so people learning and getting better is a good thing

3: normal racing like it or not does do the same things at the same places

4: the COD is way way easier in VR as you know so it’s just racing to me their

5: all of the tracks have save defendable lines without driving round the inside like scaletrix

Unimaginative yes, 100% but doable, competitive and great learning exercises with close racing possible, also yes

Honestly, Daytona R.C is one of the most boring tracks in the game. Im a bit fast on this course but still, its so boring. I really love Dragon Trail, that GR3/16 laps combination a few weeks ago was my best sport mode daily ever in stats!

Agree with what You've said.

The issue with Race C is that if You're by Your own, You'll miss out on a good result big time. As for Race C in Dragon Trail a few backs, I loved that combo so much as well. Even the current Race B is good but wish it was just a bit longer as racing there is so much fun when in the rhythm.
 
Dragon trail is fine, it’s an easy track especially if you are comfortable taking then T4 curb flat and the COD which are easier to do in VR

But these all come as part of the problem I was very annoyed about. In these races im moving from B to A after last week.

Not because I can’t drive (I think I’m top 150 atm) and was similar last week yet I got comfortable with the car yet in race people just didn’t care and used the pace of the car as an excuse to mask ability.

This isn’t the right attitude if you want to improve your DR or get those levels, YOU have to drive better and faster and safer, missing brake markers is what kids do, hit the car infront is what kids do. If you want better racing just try to be better. Grrr

I have shingles and I’m massively annoyed at the world

Glad to see also the leaderboards a little more full 😁

Check is this beaut of a race, couldn’t shake this Mazda 3 off until he inevitably passed me, he did hit me and then back off so we were free to race knowing there was respect between us, it would have been his race had he not grazed the wall on the last lap and left me space to pass on the right.

Going to stick with the Atenza this week, just for a change. Don’t think race A is for me this week, fast times are very nearly drifting around there.

I’ve made the statement here before and will make it again - it’s boring in real life too. I still track it and love hanging out with friends at track days, but it gets boring after a few sessions.

I’ll still continue to go to the Rolex 24 and do events there because racing is fun.

Better hope PD doesn’t update to the current bus stop chicane setup. That will really put a damper on the fun of the online experience!

I like Daytona RC. I just really dislike the Viper (this game’s interpretation of it) so race C is sadly pointless for me. Maybe a race in the tri-oval instead would’ve seen a bit more car variety.

Yeah I agree the viper is a bit meh putting it politely to drive.

Typically I’d do a few but can’t be bothered quite honestly. I hate the double shift you have to do and the archaic handling of it. Not for me this week.

Seaside is fine if not a little boring, the COD isn’t scary in VR, race A is fine as well and not crazy just again easier in VR to pick when to accelerate and coasting feels more natural.

Overall B is probably where the best action is at especially if you can full throttle T4 and mostly the COD

Well, I think we can agree because I didnt say this combos are bad for racing.
Its just more of the same recipe that we have week after week.

I hate to be the guy who blames PD every monday and in general I dont do it.
What doesnt work for me It can work for others and Im fine with that.

People learn through repetition but they also get bored and that is what is starting to happen to me.
PD have the tools at disposal to make the races a bit more interesting and they just dont use them.

This very same Daytona race at night would be a feast for the eyes for example (let alone a day-night transition)
Miatas instead of Gr. 3 should give us a very close and packed race.
I dont know, Im asking just for a few tweaks to let us feel we are not trapped in the Groundhog day.
 
I guess i'm not the only one who dislikes Daytona RC. However i came to a bit more love to it, since i managed to win back to back races today. About the Viper GT3, everything said is true! Awesome styling, but oh damn what a boring and Bad car to use in GT7.
 
So guys, summing up the Autopolis weekend; I can say it was a mostly good one. Punted only 3 times! (I know it sounds crazy) The rest were very good races, clean and fair, with some good positive results (1 win, many posiums, some 4th to 7th and few below 10th after punted). I'm not yet back to DR A, but I'm almost there (27'500 pts). Tyres saving was crucial and I saw I was pretty good at it, still whilst keeping a reasonable pace. Some lobbies were "really fast". I mean, 2nd in grid against DG Luc Nodaro in 1st (with a QT almost 1 sec faster than mine) and basically only A/A+ drivers except two BS (12 guys in less than 3 tenths). Got 5th there, but I binned a lil, so 3rd was more than a possibility.
This week, back to GR 4 at DT. Yeah, I've never raced there since it's normally a carnage. Need anyway to get used to it, so I'm starting slowly with just some practice (barely below the '49) and see, only if I get up to speed, maybe myself racing during the weekend.

It’s a shame then as that viper was a joy to drive at the recent sardegna daily, I do like it when a non used car presents itself in the dailies 😁
 
Tsukuba is weird one, did 8 races, all 8 podiums... only 1 win tho.. Definitely can't keep pace with some people on DS4.. welp.. still best race this week IMO

I’ve only done 1 race of Tsukuba, when my update just made me miss my race B by seconds this morning, QT of 1.08 summit, started 5th, everyone in front punted each other off, won by 4 secs, won’t be doing that again 🙄

Anyway, just picked up win number 52 in daily races, with a wonderful last lap and a bit...



Played chicane chicken on the final lap as I had the racing line. Tbf, that entire last lap and a bit needed a lot of cooperation from the other guy throughout, great racing.

Ah man, that sucks about the pen but I envy you for your "fair driving" experience....

Wanted to try out the races so hopped into the 2nd account for a test race. Funnily enough, I went even faster in the few qualy laps available as I waited for the race timer to count down - a 147:544, which was good enough for a P3 start. However, whilst the 3 of us at the front stuck together for the 1st half of the lap without issue, creating a gap of 0.7s from P4 was not enough by the time we came to the hard right at the end of Sector 2...

4 badly-timed dive bombs from way behind and the 2 of us got taken out, hard! In fact, we went from P2 and P3 down to P15 and 16! Guess which position I ended up in lol...

Of course, 2 of the savages got pens and tried taking us out when we caught up to them. They managed to hit the one in front of me (original P2) but I managed to navigate around it. Still had massive damage so both dirty ones caught up to me by the time it cleared up. They did try to swipe me a few times but anticipated all of them and finished in P13..

Didn't have enough memory to save replay though, which is a shame...

Today raced 15 times in Race B. Kept shuffling between G70, Audi TT Cup & Mazda3 Gr. 4 car. I don't have the courage to try GT by Citroen as with my driving style, the GT car gets nervous in slow turns.

Great thing is no more there is lap 1 T2 chaos but chaos does still happen at CoD. Really enjoying this race but wish it was longer. In between the actual races, I practice in the qualifying trials just to hone my skills.

May try Race A tomorrow. Won't try Race C because I know I'll be bad there. It's been a while since I took part actively in Race C.

P.S. - Today the server again went crazy. Cars in front of me were skidding, crashing, emitting white smoke etc. & then all of a sudden they would be in front of me as if nothing happened. It was real distracting for a few races. The cars would even go as fast as a rocket or just slow down & then suddenly those cars would get reinstated at the right position. So it was crazy..

If it was multiple cars doing that it sounds more like an issue on your end rather than the server.
