It’s mostly Genesis and Citroen at the moment, but not entirely. A few others like the Atenza in the mix.
I'm enjoying the Tt Cup here. It's light & because it's understeery, helps a lot in those tight turns. Have set a PB of 1:40:070 without even having seen @Tidgney 's lap guide which he will upload & post soon. That will help me massively.

I've played Race C even a few times but I prefer the Gr. 4 cars over the Gr. 3. I love TM a lot but will mainly play Race B because the kerbs here can be Your friend.

Can't play for a few hours (stupid dumb 9-5 job :indiff:) but I'll probably take my Scirocco out for a beating. I'm driving for VW in the GTWS so need to get some mileage in racing conditions. It's usually pretty fast there in sectors 1 & 3, but a roadblock in the twisty middle bits.

Yeah getting a bit tired of the Group 4 G70/Citroen cup, maybe the odd Mazda thrown in. The best Group 4 race was when it was mandated RWD at Yamagiwa and we had a great race with Jags, Supras, Astons etc.

This week looks like Trial Mountain to me, should be a good mix of cars that are competitive, early hunch is the BMW may be tough to beat.

I remember a long time ago (GT Sport, i think), there was a Lambo Huracán Gr.4 One-Make.

I know, technically it isn't any better than a single-choice meta-fest. But at least it's not pretending to be anything else.

Tried a gr4 at lunch, 1.41 odd but I was happy to see medium tyres there, that should evolve as the week goes but defo a dive fest into the corners if they are close enough,

I’ll give Monza a try later

There's a regular driver int he north american servers with a name like "Thebeast" or something, he is stupid fast and 99% of the time uses the Bugatti just to be different.
There's a guy named 'Kevin' in a lot of my NA lobbies that is ALWAYS pimpin the Swift Gr.4...and makin' it work. I guess they can all be competitive, it's just learning to extract the speed from the non-meta platform you're in. I'm always trying to make the Cayman work, lol. If I'd focus on it the way I do with the RSR, I might actually pull it off. 🤣

Man...race B on interlagos is so dirty...

Guys bumping like normal stuff...
Its being a SR tank just for being on the middle of chaos

Ps : gr4 with medium is no different than a simple arcade game...the car just go with none of challenge

Yeah, it’s a particularly tough race race until people settle down mid week.

The problem is basically braking in Gr4 is too easy, just look at the time density on the leaderboard when we are all running the same car, add in the way the lines work for the infield. People see the dive rather than the line.

There is also so much impatience it’s frustrating that people confuse close racing with constant opportunities regardless of the race. What I mean is overtaking for 7th place while 6 and ahead all drive off rather than trying to stay with them.

We will see how this all goes through the week, as this has been one of my best experiences in GT winning a GTWS race where we swapped positions 4 times on the last lap and I won by fractions at the end. So the racing can be had here but it takes understanding and racecraft not brute force.

@newmedia_dev i watched the replay from the race we were in, I wondered where you'd gone....

I could have guessed, saw you get a penalty and then get taken out by someone when you were recovering well 😭😭

It's definitely a fun race and great to battle cleanly when you have a willing dance partner, but quite often the opponent has two left feet and treads on your toes repeatedly 😭

Don’t sleep on the Scirocco for race B. It’s got good grunt out of the slow corners, can outdrag a Ferrari up the hill to turn 1.

I think that’s what Piastri was trying in the GP yesterday. Of course it all ended in tears half a lap later with the standard unpunished GT7 sideswiping. The penalty system in this game is still a joke 3 years on. Someone make a decent console alternative so I can abandon this ship!

I ran a couple of Race C last night. Both ended up ok but the first was a lot of wild dive bombing and bumping for the first half. I started p12 and couldn't figure out how people were braking so much later than me into the turns and getting inside in some sections to rub me off on the wall.

Turns out most of them, even in p16 started on RS. Why?

It all was ok after the pit stop as I had clean running gaps and a tyre advantage. Race 2 had 4 of us get a gap and spend most of the race in a great battle.
