What's the obsession with LM? It was there just a few weeks back. Plus, the TT is also taking place there. So many tracks there & only a select few used.
Because whoever's in charge of the Daily Race combos has fundamentally lacked creativity for a long, long time now.

See the fact that JGTC Suzuka is being run for a third time instead of using the same cars on a different track, and the Route X combo's being run for... the tenth time?

Can someone tell me what i did wrong to get a 2 minute pen in the oval race? check my replay via skells22 or pen
This... isn't really enough for most people to find it. You can find a link to the replay in your own profile on the game website, which you can then paste here to make it easier.

I'm not most people, and you didn't get a two-minute penalty: you got a two-second penalty. The reason was that the player ahead of you gamed the system, sideswiping you and then running partly into an "off track" area (there isn't really one at SSRX, but the shoulders can be weird) while losing time to a reference mini-sector (because he was accelerating from a previous spin) to give you a penalty. You could have mitigated it by running wide or getting off the power to lose time in that mini-sector yourself.

Do we have dynamic weather for race C?
Last time we had this amazing combo rain was a possibility and if my memory doesnt fail me, DR was off for this race.

Now they turned DR on and I think that could affect the variety of cars on race with the people sticking to the METAs (Diablo and GTr)

Agree, LM is used far too much!

C could be interesting, especially if there is weather. Having something stickier than a crappy road tyre is nice. If only we could use a manual shifter. Don’t like pulling paddles in cars that don’t have them.

This was a fun run...most of them have been at Spa this week. Racing has been close and clean, for the most part, and there's been a nice variety of cars on the grids.

Take this one for instance...a Suzuki Swift was on pole. Maybe I should call it THE Suzuki Swift as it's the only one I ever see and it's always the same pilot. Took two laps to hunt him down (qt'd @ 1:30.4xx!!) and three of us ended-up in a fun battle for P1:

Hope y'all are having fun out there!

Tis was superb racing, you are all pushing so hard yet hit your apexes. What I do not understand is how the Aston could be so fast when he was all over the road though, junking left and right constantly yet still keeping up, just super weird car behaviour.

So its use is perfectly proportional to its share of total track layouts?
Empirically, I have no idea. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that if you were to remove niche tracks (oval, rally, overly long tracks that aren't Nurburgring Nords/24/Endurance or La Sarthe) that are rarely - if ever - used in Daily Races you'd be nearer proportionality. On a quick scan that's 26 layouts (admittedly SSRX is up right now, and has been a few times), so it drops to 12:92, or about one in seven.

Or a Lago Maggiore layout just about three times every seven weeks (21 events).

I think someone's been logging it all.

Thank you!

Yeah, Flashy McDisco-Biscuit had a LOT going on. Pretty much every brake zone was a 'hope for the best' moment, lol. They qt'd @ 1:30.9xx so I guess it was working for them.

Was skeptical about this race at the onset but never left once I dove in. Turns-out there was nothing boring about this combo. Kinda regret not hitting St. Croix, tho. LFA's, too. Oh well, good times were had!

It was a bit of a shame last week. I waisted 2 days training at "slowly" Spa managing a '30.3, but it was quite painful with my tendonitis; especially after Bruxelle's hairpin till Pouhon exit and at Bus stop😖.
Ditched Spa, with regrets, and shifted to St. Croix (phonetically is "crua`" in French). What a surprise. I enjoyed Saturday and Sunday practicing there with almost no pain at all (only in the need of catching a snap oversteer my arm was lil complaining). A '07.5 on the M6 was my best, with an ideal in the '06, so there was still a huge room for improvements. It will be for next time.
Luckily this week there's the meme, so target is to be inside the 50's fastest. Then I'll practice at Lago Maggiore and, if there's not so much complaining from my arm, I'll race if I get up to speed with a solid QT.
Forget Suzuka, sector 1, Spoon and the last chicane might kill me. 🤣
Enjoy your racing week, everyone.

I did some laps in the M6 at Lago and thought it was ok and then on a whim I tried the Merc thought this is “slow” apparently that long nose warps time and space!

I’ll do another session to improve in to the 1:55s and then it’s just got to be about grinding this one and then doing some C’s when I want my faith in what motorsport really is, C is highly immersive in VR but it takes a lot of mental energy mid week fun but for me in measured doses

Race A does not have a meta car it feels like. Had a win in the Mazda, but seen Lambo, Mercedes etc win as well.

Edit: I think the Mazda has the edge.

Haven't done one of these in a while.

Tried the BM at lunch in race B, wow stark contrast to last week, running around in 14th at BS 😁

Didnt enjoy driving it to be honest so tried the 911 and that at least feels smooth and hopefully racecraft will see me through, managed to get it down to 1.57.5xx and confident I can get into the 1.56s but only just.

I’ve resigned myself to just enjoying racing this week, I don’t think I’ll be competitive enough to compete, although I’ll probably drop down to low B by the weekend so I might at least challenge for podium’s

Maybe some other cars might be tried as the week goes on, 458 and possibly the RCZ

Enjoy the week guys
