Have been playing Race B as seeing Yas Marina & CGV in daily races is a dream come true for me.

However, Race A doesn't seem appropriate because the track is narrow coupled with F1 cars that have got insane speed & grip. I just ran 1 lap & it was disappointing because F1 cars around a narrow track don't excite me.

Race B is mainly about using GT by Citroen or G70. I tried a few cars at first like Audi TT Cup, Mazda3, 4C etc. They're ok but using FF cars here is not at all a good option. I ran a few qualy laps with GT car & managed a time of 2:06:1xx which just puts me a bit out of top 1000 rankings at 1045th rank. I still have to see the lap guides for nailing the braking points so hope to cut off a second just because I know Abu Dhabi track very well due to playing F1 games.

Race C I've to still play. At first I thought won't race there much but after realizing Race B will end up getting boring because of GT domination, rather play Race C just because of pit strategy options.

Did two attempts on Daily Race A and got my first two wins on the track.

Race 1 (pole position): Started clean and even got a nice battle against a Honda until he braked too late on the last corner and thankfully I didn't get sent to Narnia for that plus the player got a two second time penalty for that incident. Went on to win my first race.

The incident:

Race 2 (P2 start): It was a fun session and I benefitted from one of the drivers getting a .5 second time penalty for me to win the race.

Overall a nice day around CGV but I think I'm going to do a few more sessions throughout the week but spreaded out as I need more practice around the two new tracks via either time trials or lobbies.

This weekend was free Playstation online and I did around 1250 miles of racing which made for a lot of content. I'll probably split it up over a few months so it doesn't get repetitive but for now here's my best and worst extremes of the new race c at Fuji.
Also as a side note I couldn't conserve tires well on the Viper using a controller but it might be the best car for qualifying and maybe getting away early in the race with great straight line speed.

Car choices this week are legitimately embarrassing and just prove to me that whoever is running the Dailies is hilariously out of touch.

In the week that we get fourteen new cars, the majority of which can be very viable for one-make or spec racing, as well as dozens of potential combos from the Power Pack, PD instead decides, in their infinite wisdom, to put 250hp Gr.4s at Yas Marina?! The track built for F1-level speeds?!

No Espace race, nothing with the F3500s, nothing even resembling the Power Pack events with their custom grids and liveries. It just screams minimal effort from literally everybody involved in an attempt to maximise "engagement".

I guess some of the reasoning for the vehicle/track choices is the GTWS mirror/celebration events (Gr3 at Yas, F3500-B at CGV). They probably think there's no point having duplicate events.

Looks like next week is set as well.

There was a time around last year's Super Formula season finale caused a duplicate event fest.
Looks like next week is set as well.

It also tells a similar issue is also facing live event races, especially with Nations grand finales almost exclusively using the aging X2019. (What should replace it is a different question.)

It's on purpose. So people can learn new track in slow motion... 🤓
Not entirely wrong. I just experienced a C Lobby where people try to get a hold of that circuit and it works pretty great. But it's also a good circuit for rammers, i guess.
