I thought I would try 1 more, I did do a second last night after too many flu pills and Xmas wine started pole binned it and finished 12th.

So I thought last day of the combo I’d try one more (my third race of the entire week)

So my week will end:

2 wins
1 shoulda, coulda really shoulda

Had a day racing and can only be classed like that, got back to BA only for ppl corner bombing and blocking to turn me to the darks side 🙄

Almost had a win, had 4 clean laps with this guy but he crashes into me and says ‘sorry’ but still takes the win 😂

I did find a new love for Bathurst and saw this randomly for the first time 🤣

Is it me or is daily race B much harder and way more chaotic/crashes this week compared to last few weeks?

I’ve only been playing for 3 weeks with Yas as my first race and I think sardegna? Last week?

Both times I saw steady improvement and by the end of the week I was up from D to C with constant podiums and a few wins taking me out of D.

This week it’s all over the place, I’ve got my quali to the point of being in the top 5 but I’m getting smashed all over the place even in the SR S catagory. Is it just the track that is much more accident prone and more difficult as I am also making more mistakes than last two weeks.

Or have I just regressed and got even worse this week 😂

No honestly it’s not worse, it’s just competition compresses until you get through it.

Out of curiosity what time did you manage for your P5-2 times?

P11 to P5 on lap one, through no skill of my own - closed my eyes and hoped for the best  I ended up in P4 at the finish. This was my last race of the week - best I've ever done around Mount Panorama, 3 wins and a load of crashes, but it's mostly been pretty good fun.

I never raced A or C. Grand Valley is just horrible in reverse - just feels so wrong. I only tried A this evening and I quite liked how it felt, but never got round to racing.

Hey,

I’m in Cat D so slow but 2.19.200ish was good enough for one P1 that I won as just led from start to finish but it also had me starting P10 sometimes so was weird!

Also anytime starting P2-P10 means I could finish anywhere from first to last 😂😂

Yep that’s about as crazy as it has been for me too this week, at 20secs, is where ppl were deciding to lunge for me, never sticking!

And that Redbull livered car looked like he was breaking as you past? I’d seen some of that too 🤨

The rig must working out for you as you topped my leaderboard with a 2.14.3xx 😳 not sure how you guys are getting that pace, hopefully my new rig will be equally as successful for me (I ordered Xmas eve)

My first race in LM reverse was comedy of errors. Never raced in reverse there. Will need to learn the track through la guide videos by some esteemed racers on Youtube.

Even though a Gr.4 race we had not too long ago at RBR, the tyre strategy bit is what I'm looking forward to. Anything that includes strategy is really worthwhile.

Did have a go at Race A even. Driving a Kart is fun but I miss those karting tracks we had in the older versions of GT. That would've made the Kart race very much fun.

Several cars ahead of me had damage from the crash so were all slow down the hill, and YouTuber Yil2D picked up a 5 second penalty for being shunted in to 😮
I think the Red Bull car braked a bit to give me a gap as the other car was serving a penalty.

As for increased pace there, I found I was losing most on the exits to all the straights, and still am compared to the fast guys. Through the twisty bits it was very close, but a poorer exit costs at least 2 to 3 tenths per sector.

Hope you like the new rig! I've had to increase my braking force due to the new rig not flexing, and everything else just feels a bit more detailed. One of the dogs can now fit under the seat - which gives me a fright if I don't know she's there 🤣

What happened to Big Willow and Tokyo? I see the prediction was labelled as Week 1/2026, I wonder that means it's coming next week, and we now have a surprise extra set for Week 53/2025?

What are these weeks? Was resigned to willow but if it’s something else! Bonus

Here's my best lap so far for the new Race A which is currently top 10 Worldwide.

Only abs weak might be faster with a wheel but I need countersteering on controller to deal with the rumble strips.

Nice, I guess the key trick there was the going onto the kerb at the final 180 and getting that aggresive turn in. Can you do that consistently, or is it a risky qualifying only trick?

Ok panic over 😂😂

I joined these races on Saturday so most were 5 days in front of me and also bought a rig on sat (PS trophy and RS50 wheel/pedals) and was worried I was garbage (well even more so than usual 😂).

But had 5 or 6 races on race B today with 3 podiums so feel better about myself and the rig now 😂

Break this week I think, LM reverse is just the worst.

Maybe some race C here and there but I have no interest in race B this week
Why no interest? I’m brand new to GT7 but I’ve found race B pretty fun so far.

Race C on my 1 go through was a bit dull I thought but will revisit

Only personal preference mate, LM the right way around got a little tedious the amount they put it up but I just cannot stomach the reverse track, and I tend the like most reverse tracks 😁

Enjoy yourself and have a good week

Race C this week? First time trying a pit stop race.

Any advice please 😬

What tyre to start on? What lap to change?

Also how do you guys work that stuff out for yourselves?

Ah fair enough. TBF it’s my 3rd week so I could be set to race around jam jar and I’d probably enjoy it 😂😂😂😂

Have a good one

Start on the Mediums till lap 5-6 or 6-7 for the softs.

The reason is unless you are pole you’ll waste the faster tire in traffic and be a sitting duck at the end.

So basically you just need to see how the tires are wearing and react when the grip is starting to fall away.

For the first race of the week I often start on the soft, then just come in when it's done. After that you should have a good idea when to pit if switching the other way. Then you can take @newmedia_dev's advice and start on the medium if it's strategically best.

Wasn't it some weeks back we had Gr.4 racing at RBR? There as usual we had G70 fest. Ditto now. Only difference is RM & RS in play.

There are so many amazing Gr.4 cars which we don't use or avoid for such races & G70 gets all the glory...LOL.

Because of seasonal holidays I've got slightly more time to race than normal. I'm trying some race C action tomorrow. Set a quali lap of 1:37:0xx, not too bad for a low B driver I think? Albeit group 4 cars are quite close together anyhow.

I'm trying to mimic Naif's turn 1. I'm still 0.25 seconds off at the sector 1 mark. Fun to try to go as fast as possible through T1, just up until the limit that the tires are hitting the yellow sausage. The G70 tends to bump quite a lot in that corner.

If it isn't obvious, the Renault and Aston Martin cars are not the best choice for Race C. I've been losing all morning in them. I expect I have another full week of losing ahead of me. I'm only using these cars to level set my DR for the coming Manufacturers Cup series, otherwise I'd be in the Genesis like everybody else. And the DR has definitely been taking a hit.

For Renault, the Trophy '11 car is dog slow on the straights. Don't even bother trying with that one. The FF Gr.4 car isn't so bad, but it does suffer from the cold tires getting cold towards the end of each stint, like most FF cars at this track.

The Aston Martin Vantage isn't bad, but it isn't good either. For now, it seems to be able to keep up with the backmarkers in all-B lobbies. I expect that will cease to be true before the day is out. So it goes.

See you out on the track.

I’ve just done some laps in the Atenza and it’s a much better car for pace than the G70, lap was a 1:35.9 but the optimum is in high .6s if you want a viable alternative.
