I'd not raced this layout for a long time - may have been a GR2 race, where night fell in the last laps 🤔 It's quite good fun with a bit of downforce, and there's definitely half a second to be found here

Tried C, but it's just a bit tiresome with the same cars and pixel-picking track limits.

I may try Karts and see if I can complete a lap without spinning, but highly unlikely, as I'm hopeless in them.

Yeah I'm back from the dead, kind of and wow, the heat is definitely on with the increased competition for lap times since I last had a proper go! Almost 2s slower than P1 and I cannot really find any obvious mistakes from my end to finish so far behind!

Still, loving the 296 and hoping that tomorrow I will have some time to race ☺️

Also, seems the top slice of the sandwich has moved up a bit from the bacon @Barney Da Dog 🤣

THis is how I felt last week at bathurst. I did not have a lot of practice but still was epically slow in A/A+ rooms despite the cars being so easy to drive. It was so weird, guys were carrying HUGE mid corer speed i just couldn't match.

Times are so tight in Gr4 that an extra tenth can make that difference between starting 14th - 16th or top 3. I found a couple of tenths last week that got me a few poles, but by Saturday I was starting 10th-14th

What Grade is this? Trying to see how far off the pace I am on which grades
 
Maybe i should try what time difference lies between the metacar and my preferred Viper/Vette/Mustang in Gr.4.

2 Weeks ago my cars worked well in race C at the Nürburgring. Reached mid B, trending towards high B. Last week with Mount Panorama, which i didn't try a lot and Red Bull Ring this week got me to very, very low B within a few races.

But maybe many B drivers where just too inexperienced and chaotic at the Ring to succeed and low B is my natural habitat these days.

Edit:
Ok, after 3 valid laps I'm more than half a second faster that with my preferred cars. That's something but not the world as there are some really fast qualifiers out there in B lobbies.

I enjoyed RBR more in Gr.3 cars.

Welcome back my Maltese Saab loving friend! Apologies I have been really unwell this Xmas to the point I didn’t even make it to Xmas dinner or left the house in a week.

I’ve done a couple of races here or there but just not felt up to, I am coming out the other side of it now so will hopefully get some more seat time again. @TechnoIsLove

Bit sad/ surprised that it's been almost 24 hours since I said hello here and my good old friend @newmedia_dev hasn't welcomed me back.... I hope he's ok and not currently upside down in a ditch in yet another BMW he's managed to flip over again...

As always I cannot resist those fun as hell Karts. Bit peeved as I had 4 second places and no wins and really should have won this one after driving the near perfect race but the same muppet hits me and pushes me wide twice (mid race and final corner) to steal the win.



OT: Speak of Malteasers with Saabs, I sold mine after 16 years of ownership yesterday, bit of a sad day, brough both kids home from hospital in that car. Finding a replacement was hellish, there's a dearth of decent wagons here and the one that did fit the bill, Subaru Outback, was a no-go because the V6 comes bundled with the DREADFUL "eyesight" self aware rubbish that I absolutely refuse to engage with.

Well 2 races at RBR and I go from low A to mid S, that’ll do nicely 😁 SR that is, DR I’m high B

Might go try some karts but I don’t hold out much hope it’s any fun,

I don't know what was going on last week but my SR got slaughtered. I've not been out of S for ages but found myself hovering around a Dr reset after two runs at the mountain. Those were the only two I did, decided chasing times on my friends list was safer. Clawing back to S again feels nice, lol.

The Karts CAN be fun, 100% comes down to who you're sharing the track with, as usual. Didn't win this one but it was a blast anyway and came down to the line...couldn't see him, didn't see who crossed first. 😁

THis is great racing, I wish you had kept the race info on though as it was hard to tell what lap it was. Good stuff, very fair and fast.

Always torn between leaving this info on and impeding the view or going all clean and wide-open on the viewing, lol. Appreciate the kind words as always.

Having a blast in the morning lobbies today, too. I don't get to race this time of day/week often due to work. Don't get me wrong, I like/prefer having a job, but this does present a strong argument for the benefits of being independently wealthy.👍

It does look fun but I’m not sure if I need to change wheel settings but I almost have to 10 degrees to almost be at full lock.

I like that it mostly full throttle so just ppl have to slide together 😁

Having fun at RBR currently being the least hated of the weeks combos 😂
