Honestly I don’t think the G70
Is the car but maybe?

A is a great race as its skills practice, brake and throttle with some momentum (weight) management thrown in (literally 🤣)

Fuji I think is to tight this week unless you are far ahead of your peers, everything is close and forced it’s tight racing but not learning racing.

Stick with A ;)

I might thrash some G70 around there if I get bored this weekend but trial mountain is still keeping me invested, had some fun races there tonight and as I thought, more players of equal level is giving some good racing.

I settled on the G70, the Atenza just doesn't want to rotate.

Dude it does, I mean it really does with higher speed than the G70 and puts the exits down way way better??

The G70 is a bit of a blunt instrument at Fuji as it’s a brute force tool that actually isn’t that great there?

It's not in my hands, I am much slower with it through the long right hander for example. It's a touch faster in a straight line but as soon as I went to the G70 I lopped half a second off my QT. The Atenza was in races early in the week but as the week has worn on, more G70, Citroens and now Lambos out there.

In the top 3 splits in the EMEA it’s mostly Citroens and Atenza but some QT is being done at the top end in the Lambo.

The G70 isn’t featuring for my races. The last race I did was won by an Atenza and that was mostly A+ lobby with a few scattered A guys.

So I’d imagine car viability works better for where you are racing, if you are quick in the G70 defo try the Lambo it’s much better out of T1 and the chicane

One of the few GT streamers I follow on Youtube is SammySnake(have informed him will be sharing this vid for awareness). He put up this vid where one user was making use of an exploit lap after lap & not getting penalized for it despite stringent new track limit penalties are in play at Abu Dhabi.

24-minute video summary: he was creating light, side-to-side contact before going off at the chicane in order not to be penalised for cutting it.

It's a totally standard GT7 penalty exploit, as the game rarely penalises you for cutting corners if you were biffed there. The fact it bypasses two slow corners in a week where Championship track limits are in place just magnifies the issue.


And yes, it's an exploit (as you say) not a cheat (as the video thumbnail says). Exploits are when you use the game's code to your advantage, cheats are when you are able to manipulate the code.

Wanted to apologize for forgetting to name the source (Race Online Hungary on X) for the next week dailies post. I've always sourced their name in earlier posts such as these, forgot to this time.
 
2 attempts at Race C today.

One on each account.

On my alt (DR D) account started 5th finished 2nd with only the one 0.5s penalty.

On my main account (DR B) started 14th, didnt get a quali lap in, and finished 11th (2 dropped out) but copped penalties on at least 8 laps. Was absolutely terrible.

Issue was that on the alt account I could cruise along and not push too hard.

That's upto them. Just showing this to make people aware. It's crazy & ironic at the same time. Even though I'm aware of this, I won't be doing this. So to each their own.
 
Did 7 Yas Marina races this week on my newly created alt account. Created this to have less nerves about losing DR in practicing clumsy close racing battles (with me not being the least clumsy of course 😉). I'm normally quite okay with my TT and empty race circuit pace, but with others in close proximity I tend to run into others or being overly cautious. Hopefully I can find an inbetween.

The Alt account is on the brink of going into DR C now. What a lot of ghosting in these lobbies. Sometimes I think I am punted off or try to take avoiding action only for everyone to be hosted. In this way you are not motivated to learn to drive mindfully from the get go.

Thats one of the reasons I created an alt account.

Also to race in different regions.

Thanks I might give it a try, hopefully soon there’ll be a race where it’s more used because I’d like to spend a week on it,

And why would you be ashamed to have an alt account, lots of ppl have them and I think basically they keep their first accounts for the races they know they will do well on or to keep an account as high DR as possible for the gtws races, and another for general racing where other ppl ruining your DR doesn’t matter

I see nothing wrong with it personally

Alternate accounts let people mess around with combos in the Daily Races which they might not be too interested in. Especially wacky and dangerous (DR reset potential) Race A combinations.

It's very normal in my eyes, that one would not be keen to risk their rank when there's competitive GTWS and Manufacturers events hovering around, by playing in fun and often eccentric races.

Personally all 3 of my accounts are all at the same level.

Main EMEA used 99% of the time (A/S)

Alt EMEA used to test combos occasionally or when in particularly bad at a combo, started when I was banned for 5 days early on (A/S)

Alt NACA used when I want to race in US lobbies with forum people or just for a different type of challenge (A/S)

So my lobbies across all 3 accounts are all at the same ability level so there is no overtly speed or ability differential.
 
Seems like this weeks daily race C is my thing. I’ve managed to clock in a 1:54,420 in the Lambo and as the week went on I finally promoted my driver ranking to A.

You know sometimes this game still surprises me from time to time, once all the A & A+ drivers went for their dinner, I managed to start pole 😁

P2 was a guy who thumped me off a few races earlier for some unintentional contact so didn’t know what to expect here,

Turned out to be a cracker
