Interesting viewing.
- Your lap times in the first race are rapid, very quick
- One of the reasons this racing was clean and my races were clean is because we were patient. I notice you got squirrely exiting Lesmo 1 in the second race and you just decided to let another guy go past you rather than desperately try and recover the slide. In my race against the two opponents, I had ample opportunity to make lunges but decided to life and focus on my exit
- I don't understand how you are getting on the throttle so hard exiting Ascari without TC and at that steering angle, I lose time here every race, I just cannot get on it like other guys do, let alone in the nervous Viper
Congrats on getting back to 'S' and Thank You!! This thing is a freakin' blast to drive and glad I got back in it...now to see if I can find some more time out there. 😁Finally back in to the SR S, still some niggly things going on get spun here and there by cowboys trying to take corners 2 wide but I suppose it is what it is.
For some me reason I’m drawn to Monza can’t keep away! Still trying to get my QT into the 49s but stuck at 50.2
@mellofello9 nice QT yourself mate! You gotta go better that one! You too @Childe Roland 😁
Good weekend when it find you
Pff I cannot get to grips with race C. I absolutely love the track, but I keep getting punted out or spin myself. Out of 10-12 races I had 3 top 5 finishes, the rest I just merely have a recovery drive from the back, hoping to get some positions from others that are crashing. The first 2 laps are mayhem and I cannot escape race ruining contact. I try to drive passively, but everywhere I put my car seems to be the wrong decision. A shame, because I have top 5 pace on a clear track. What a humbling experience, I really need to work on my consistency. I am almost back to DR C now, that was long ago.

I had some strange ones in race C too - starting P15 or 16 in mid C/S lobbies, and finishing P6 to P8. DR went up so I'm nearer the top of C, then find I'm P8 on the grid......Getting right to the top of B and having some strange lobbies made, one race it’s me starting top 3 or 4 in an all BS lobby, then I’m starting bottom 3 in mostly AS lobby,
That's smart driving! I actually almost never defend my position, unless it's the last lap. I prefer taking the normal racing line. So I don't hold up or frustrate people. Just take the position, I will indeed follow and bumpdraft. I guess I just got unlucky with the close driving, and people behind me braking as if it is a quali lap, and bump me because I need to brake earlier in order to not hit the cars in front of me.Oh that's bad & frustrating at the same time.
What I do is I don't defend too hard in the starting 2 laps of the race. It so happens because the driver behind would be on RM as opposed to me being on RH or because the driver in general is faster than me but didn't set a qualy time faster than mine. So if because of either scenario, they catch upto me, I just let them overtake me. The most I've had to let 2 or 3 drivers through in the first three laps as I'm quite consistent & fast at this track in the SLS AMG.
So when someone catches upto my car's bumper I know it's mainly because of the two scenarios stated above. I prefer then to be in that player's slipstream & even bumpdraft so even that player is aware I'm not going to make a move. In the process, I lap a little more faster due to the slipstream I get.
I've rarely encountered a bad race at St. Croix because I give respect to a faster driver behind me. If I be stubborn then that's when the player will get desperate or frustrated and will make a move which could hurt our race.
Strangely, despite this track combo + car suiting me to the tee, I always start the race with the mindset of finishing in the top 5 as I always have & will prefer a clean/fair race over a victory.
I made a thing. You should check that leaderboard mate 😎@mellofello9 nice QT yourself mate! You gotta go better that one! You too @Childe Roland 😁

For me as well. I want to see which specified car will be allotted to Alsace (Race A). I love Dragon Trail a lot. I also loved the concept of only allowing a few drivetrain specific cars for the St. Croix race. They should do this always so that the typical meta cars can be avoided. FF cars suit quite well to Seaside. That weird last time a checked the endurance II layout was only available for time trial…
Well will be chaos.
I think it will be seaside for me next week (hoping for a FF only gr4 to use the N TCR)

What brake bias are people using for viper at Monza?

Just finished 2 races at St. Croix & my good run continues there with a 2nd & 3rd place finish in both. Will miss this race come tomorrow.
This has been my most competitive week of online daily racing. In the odd 20 races I took part in at St. Croix, I've finished in top 5 in all but 1 race. Today even I raced 4 times where I finished 2nd twice & 3rd twice. Due to this, my DR climbed about 6,500 points to take me to my highest DR A rating. St. Croix always makes me happy.I’m looking forward to dragon trail as well, really enjoyed it a few weeks ago and I like the fast flowing tracks with high speed corners so hoping for a good week.
Had a lot of fun in race C this week, nice fun track and feels great when you nail the corner and get a great run out of it and breeze past people

I would've raced here much much more than just once which I've done this week but I can't look anywhere else than St. Croix that even in Gr.4 machinery. I would've loved to drive the AMG '20 at Monza as both SLS AMG variants (Gr. 3 & Gr.4) love slow & medium speed turns.Got to say, Monza this week has grown into a Mecca for clean racing, had an absolute blast there is week, fighting at the back but I’m starting to realise I can’t go back now, tried to use my other account with 15k DR and man was that annoying 🤣
The viper has been so tough to drive all week, under steering to hell 😁 but so rewarding when you get it right.
Thought Monza would be a hell hole but I think once people realised how to race it and gave others the space required it really has become a great week, the odd idiot as with all weeks, but absolutely fantastic racing and a few wins too!
Hope you all had a great week and roll on Dragon trail

I can't wait for Seaside now as I prefer it to the Gardens version. Also hope we get specific Gr.4 cars to choose from to make the racing fun & less monotonous.
