It's seem impossible to have a clean race in the sport mode.

Some days yes, but honestly it does get better.

And I don’t know your SR/DR but some of the peeps still learning are clumsy and emotionally reactive (it happens at all levels but it reduces on balance)

What I will say, is that try not message people mate, it’s what you say not how you act that gets the ban, and 7 days is quite harsh as it’s usually 3 for a first infringement. I’ve had both as well, but moved on and focused on my driving not winning or claming every place 👍

How long after the message did you get the ban? I called the lobby a bunch of knobs in a race last week and have been wondering if there'll be any consequences.

Another time I was insulted in a race and messaged the person outside of the game as I knew I was wasn't near them at any point during the whole race (also had the replay saved). Thankfully that one turned out ok as they apologized once they realised.

There is a PSN report messages button that you can use so any unsolicited DMs reported get auto flagged and reviewed. There is no appeals.

But as a live service game I assume any lobby messages maybe tagged/shared to PSN staff.

The main thing is that bans are PSN decided not game lead or done.

No it would have been messages on PSN mate not a race lobby message as they are quite tight on the filtering

Did you message someone and call them “out” they can report that message.

Also remember if you message someone with an age under 16 or have parental controls to max the parent can report it. I’m 46 and know that I race a lot of younger players so am very careful and don’t message people because it’s a ban, a kid or a kids dad that reports you.

I got called an idiot in the post-race messaging by someone who took me out!

I told him to check the replay so he could see it was his fault, reported him too and he got a ban...

I’d assume he was also messaging other people or been reported multiple times.

I had to quit that last race before I lost my head and got banned for life!!!

Tonight had just been absolute filth. Had every single race ruined by absolute tosspots!!

That last one took the biscuit!

P1 messed up T1 and I Pass and then he slams into the side of me at T3 from 4 tenths back and I lose 6/7 positions and then coming round the final bend the final two idiots both dive bomb and and spin me off!

Had 5 races got murdered in 4 of them and spent 3 of them driving around on my own for 8-10 laps, couldn’t face that on the last one as my head had completely gone and I was raging!

On a plus note on the one race I didn’t get smashed I got a P3. But those other 4 have cost me about 2k DR so I’m not sure if I’m even in A anymore 🤦‍♂️

Very frustrating!

@Vault no it’s not possible to get clean races, the game is full of absolute morons that are out there to just ruin your race unfortunately!

It’s a shame that you can’t meet these people face to face. I’m sure if they had to deal with the repercussions of there actions in person the lobbies would very quickly clean up!! Or I’d have to get a sim rig installed in my prison cell 🤦‍♂🤷‍♂️

Yep those 3 races I had with you tonight were full of divebombing idiots and I also got rear quartered and ended up dead last. It's flipping annoying because the rest of the week has generally been good clean racing. If this is what A is going to be like all the time, then I'm dropping back down to B - seems like A is not faster than B but certainly a while lot dirtier!

You absolutely can be slotted for lobby messages.

They don't have to have censorable (and censored) language in them to qualify as being against the code of conduct. In fact virtually anything - even responding to the message you're reporting - can get you pinged. Calling someone an idiot certainly qualifies.

Stick to the preformatted messages if you want to be safe.

hahaha I actually got banned a few weeks ago, had a terrible afternoon and lost my head at a few people. This was when I set up the alt account

Have been pretty good and have usually stuck to a very passive aggressive thanks for a clean race but I lost my temper tonight and called a few people dirty idiots so lets see if I'm on the alt account next week

It's super annoying as I had 3 races this morning and they were all good, clean and fun. But this evening has just been disgusting.

Really hope it's just a bad evening and tomorrow is a better day as otherwise all the effort we have put in to get to A is completely pointless!

Problem in dropping down to B is that we are now at the point where we are too fast for those lobbies and it's not much fun just going from the front all the time.

Both A ranked gain Dr and the B rank loses?

I don't know if anyone already does this, but I'm definitely going to assign my own hidden meanings to the pre set chat options. Then I can call people all manner of things without fear of a ban. Yes it's childish and the recipient won't understand, but it will allow me to vent and keep what's left of my sanity.

So if let’s say he say did a ten too the hour race B which finished after the race C on the hour started, quit out of that and into the C and following it his drop from the quit race was more than the gain from his race C

Or something like that 😁

I haven’t won a race at DR A yet but winning one at low B feels a cheat somehow, on my alt account recently I actually gave a guy a win for being such a clean racer, my alt account is low BS

FYI - I am fully aware this was quite the meltdown last night!!! I was quite angry!!

Vault - you can get clean races but unfortunately they are less common than dirty so you just have to take the rough with the smooth and hopefully you have more emotional stability then me!

Me neither in A - best has been a P2 but mostly jostling in the pack, which is fun, right up until someone takes you out and all that effort is wasted!!!

Oh well, we go again!!!!!

Hopefully Gr4 race C next week is a bit cleaner

You gotta laugh at this game some times, attempted to get into the 28s again at RBR, still falling agonisingly short, one thing I do like about race C is the amount of qualifying time you get, stuck 15 laps in and was 29.1, 29.2 but couldn’t quite get into the 28.

Raced in an all BS lobby, starting 5th, had a really good race and there was this one guy, always running the inside and passing in not the best fashion, his pens were taken on the racing line, on the last lap with me 3rd, barger in 2nd and 1st a long away ahead, until he spun and we all went past him, managed to barge myself past barger because he slowed up taking T3 and I had to take avoiding action, there he was behind, flashing going mental, I just slowed and let him past for the win because I knew I’d be rammed somewhere.

And my DR gain for this spectacular race? 🤨

Seems like I've lost my mojo at Fuji. Best QT today is :56.6 had a couple of races from pole and finished mid pack in mostly B lobbies. Oh well nevermind overall it's been a decent/fun weeks lapping/racing for me personally.

They probably quit out of a previous race.

As DR is a straight exchange, it cannot be calculated until a race actually ends. If you quit out early you won't register any change until the race ends for everyone else. You can jump into another race before that happens (due to the offset between Race A and Race B, and the longer length of Race C it's easy to go C>A, C>B, A>B, A>C, B>A, or B>C before your first race finishes), and at the end of that race they'll get two races' worth of DR updates at once.

I'd wager that the 6th didn't offset the 16th from the previous race and they were likely already close to the A/B boundary and snicked below it with the first race result.

Man this game just sucks!! I put an hour into quali to get my time down to start in the top 3 of a lobbies and just still get punted off in every race! Honestly makes you think if it’s even worth the time to play it

EDIT: PD took sympathy on me for being bulled so much in A that it stuck me in a lobby for a B for a mental health victory 😂😂

Oh well not my day today!

Started P2 and P3 last 4 races - even had P1 pull to the back in two of them - highest finished was P14 and spent 2 of them in the pits from lap 9!!! All that quali effort was well worth it!!!

Realized it definitely wasn't my night as I turned the wheel base off to pack up but then decided to have one more race so registered and got ready! Hit the throttle! Didn't move🤦‍♂️ Forgot to turn the wheel base back on

Anyway starting back in the comfort of B next week, these low A guys are real pieces of work
