Had several weeks of buggy behaviour in game - getting kicked out of lobbies, game freezing when I try and save a replay, the replay saves but the thumbnail is black and if you try to fast forward the replay it stops, unable to load ghosts, my cars with liveries appear in the game with the default factory livery.

When I get booted out of a race just before it starts, the game says this is what I have to do (see the attached picture). Has anyone else had this message and tried one or more of these fixes? Seems drastic to delete the game!

Ps not sure if all of the above glitches stem from the same issue.
Yep, happened to me twice, but with Call of Duty. The worst time; a glitch after a seasonal update totally burned out the 1 tera memory expansion. I lost all games saved on it. Needed to reinstall everything (games and apps), but all the gamer profiles were saved. You basically lose just the non shared replays and liveries.

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Reverse Nürburgring Finally Makes Its Debut

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday...
Wait, but this layout is only available for time trial in single player though. How have they managed to host a race on it?
I knew there were grid markings for it on the Döttinger Höhe, but still this is pretty crazy lol.

Normally I dislike street car racing but Daily A this week has been a joy! The car is super responsive and fun to throw around. It's got grip until it doesn't but the loss is linear not instant.

It's got enough power to accelerate quickly and reach high speeds so the racing feels like racing. Brakes are good enough that you can be aggressive towards corners. Yeah I think I'm spending time here this week. Normally Nurburgring is a can't miss but reverse isn't something I'm interested in learning.

I was expecting to hate the Nurburgring backwards but it's surprisingly really good fun once you get used to it, unlike most of PD's original circuits it still has a really nice flow to the corners when you're running in the opposite direction, until you do find that groove it's absolutely deadly though.

Yes and some of the Armco Barriers have the ends exposed and if not careful you can hit one head on and stop you fast...

Yeah, that's the downside of these reverse layouts and why they would never be allowed to run in real life. Some of the kerbs are at funky angles too so it doesn't take a big miscalculation to have a pretty monumental shunt 😬

So yesterday before 12:30PM (my timezone) I wanted to race St. Croix one last time as I thoroughly enjoyed the race which spiked my DR to mid level A.

As always I started on RH where then would go on to pit on lap 4 & continue on RMs till end of the race. I was 3rd & the two players ahead of me were on RM. Once I shifted to RM, I was able to claw back the time on them & after lap 8, I was leading as both of them by then had pitted for RH. The players who ended up finishing in P2 & P4 were the ones who started ahead of me. P4 was the first one to pit on lap for RH & P2 pitted one lap later. Because I was on RM as opposed to them on RH, I was able to build a bit more of a gap.

RH-RM was the logical strategy always. Starting on RMs was not ideal because of a full tank of fuel. Plus, the RH cars wouldn't be that off & would catch up later. P4 was leading for most of the race but due to the RM-RH strategy, he lost out so much. He's a fast driver but strategy didn't work out.

I was able to even set a fastest ever race lap time of 2:22:012 which helped in getting the victory. I was happy to have finished my last race with a surprise victory here. This & Laguna Seca were quite thrilling to be honest.

Sadly, last weekend I could take the wheel only Saturday. It was an on/off disrupted session cause I had to help my neighbour with his BMW I2 not willing to start... Have I already said how I hate electric vehicles?🤣 I nonetheless found some rythm at St. Croix. A '20.7 (ideal '20.2) was the result, but I felt that the " '19's club" was on sight. The Supra wasn't that bad either, a nice surprise btw. Still, now that I'm almost 100% healed from tendonitis (only the left arm still hurts sometimes, but it's ok), it seems that the universe doesn't want me to race.🤣
Luckily, I'll be off for one week near Easter. I'm planning a sort of "lobotomic" full immersion to really push the envelope during that time (ealry morning, afternoon and evening). Please PD, give us a 16-18 laps Race C at Willow in Gr3 machinery for week 14.
TD Seaside is my choice for the weekend (if universe allows it 😉).
Enjoy your racing week, everyone.
Glad to hear you're pretty much healed mate, always frustrating to have a lingering lingering injury, take it easy and don't push too hard on it and set yourself back!!!
Could you folks FR me when you get chance please. New to the daily races and my friends qually times leaderboard is pretty much empty.

hahah I commented on Rory's stream that I wanted to see the replay when you went sailing past him like a nuke

All 3 races in their own right are fun. The biggest issue I have with only concentrating on Race A or B is that after finishing the race, there is some good amount of minutes to wait again. Best thing about Race C is that the event finishes with 2 or 3 minutes to spare. This is very handy when You're in the groover.

Considering how I've seen & been in Races A & B, I think it makes a lot of sense to qualify well to start towards the front of the field. The mayhem starts in the middle & end of the grid mostly & it's easy to get caught in it.

Can You imagine how fun it could've been if the Alsace race with the Porsche was put in Race C with 9 or more laps & with two different tyre compounds to play with......

Yes I agree with you on getting near the front in race B to avoid the chaos, this is why I usually prefer Race C s you can start mid pack and have some nice racing.

I do like being in the groove as well but sometimes after a couple of race C's, diving straight into another 20+ min race gets a bit tiring so I like a rest but then I have to wait half an hour, It's great when B and C are both good and you can chop and change to keep it fresh. I've never really gelled or enjoyed race A's yet

Dude you got some time on the board already! I saw your time and was like 😳

😁 you’re right, flat out perfectly doable a small percentage of the time, let’s see if I can do it in race sweats 😂

Be a good fast week I reckon, hopefully lots of us has a good go at this, this week
Looks like I have some work to do on my Q time 😁. Might be helpful to save Q times as replays for ‘friends’ to help each other. I have done (I know it’s slower this time round) for mine and will continue to do so. 🥳✌️

The Nürburgring in reverse is definitely a great race; we've been missing variety so much that it's a breath of fresh air.
It's a very challenging track because, as it seemed to me, many of the turns are uphill, and you don't know when the turn will start or how steep it will be. I can't even remember driving the Nürburgring in the classic direction before (now I know all the turns well), but it seemed easier to navigate there without knowing the track. With this version, you're practically guessing, often slowing down due to uncertainty. I hope there will be more races on this track configuration so we can learn it.

Respect to you guys who can go full throttle at the chicane of death. I love this track, but I'm hopeless at that chicane. Never get the steering inputs right. If I don't smash into the wall, I am not consistent enough to not let my car bounce strangely on the kerbs. You have to aim such that your wheels are on both sides of the kerbs? Let this week be the week that I maybe learn to do it!

Use the circuit's experience for that sector only. In Gr3 you'll build a better muscle memory regarding the optimal line. You'll lift a lil in Gr3 and then "easily" flat out in Gr4.

It's hit and miss and to be honest I rarely try and do it in a race as the risk reward just isnt there in my opinion. Actually let me correct myself, I've stopped myself doing it in races now

This is good advice, I had some time in the circuit experience on Sunday and it deffo helped me get up to speed!!!!

Urrgghhh this lunch time was everything I hate about race B lobbies, just constant dive bombs in the 4 races I did, people have even started going flat out pretty much just bouncing off you at the apex in the tight right hander before the esses.

very frustrating, started P3 in all of them and my best finish was 12th :ill:

Anyone, poor me, blah blah, rant over  will be back at it tonight!

Couple of tips.

@Gurzu method which I mainly use is to get a top ten time and put the ghost 0.3 away and effectively race it and that always helps get me a few tenths more.

Also, get your best time and save it, load up the data logger and put it together with a top ten time and watch them do a lap together and you can see where you are braking too long, not getting on the power fast enough etc

At the moment I am not using the braking area anymore because I know most of the tracks, so I need some help from @Tidgney of the braking points

@Goanaut you need to be brave for sure, watch tidge, I’ve done it a few times in qualifying but I don’t in race, too afraid to ruin the race 🤣

Having an absolute blast in race B. One of the few tracks in GT7 I know after Time Trialing there in the Zonda at the start of the year. Did my current fastest qually lap in the Italia (low 1.49) Not won a race yet but lots of fun and respectful top 3 battling. Just at the end of DR C after 19 races. SR S.

Tried a few different cars and they all seem about the same performance wise.

Thanks for the FRs so far folks.

Mate - how do you use the ghost? I've tried a bunch of times and it just distracts me and I miss my braking point/line everytime.

Are you trying to follow it exactly or just getting a rough idea of what to do on the next lap?

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking about doing that, but wasn't sure about transfering the knowledge from Gr 3 to Gr 4. Can't hurt to try.

The races are another story of course, but if I can nail the chicane full throttle once in a decent quali lap I'm certainly going to improve my time and place on the grid.

Yeah generally as you are using an alien time, it’s pulling away so quickly it’s far away enough not to get in your way, plus use a ghost which is a white car so you can see through it.

And then it’s still close enough to see the lines it takes and the brake inputs it uses

Thanks for the top tips 👌🏻, I do use a ghost of 1 of the aliens at 0.3 and find them extremely useful. The only minor issue is they tend to stretch the gap at points whereas a chums ghost car will remain a little closer and IMHO allow for a little bit more encouragement.
I have tried to use the data logger but need to work on that a bit more.
Home work for Mr B it is 🤭
Thanks again 🙏🏻

Just a tip on the data logger,

Do a lap you are happy with, save best lap replay

Then when you go into data logger, there is a blue and yellow box top left.

One box you load your best lap and the other box you load an alien time in.

Then you just watch them fly around together, because the cars stay next to each other it’s easy to see who brakes first, how long they coast, when they apply the power

It’s looks a minefield but once you crack this part it’s real eye opening 😁

Is there a way to set it up when you can get the brake/throttle graph on same page as that as I can only get it if I change away from the track view?

Sod\s law is that you will nail the chicane flat out on a lap where youve messed up an earlier corner

I can share my lap when I get home if you like mate, I'm not sure how much help it will be though?
