Is there a way to set it up when you can get the brake/throttle graph on same page as that as I can only get it if I change away from the track view?

Nice mate - look forward to seeing you in the B lobbies very soon!!!!!!!

Sod\s law is that you will nail the chicane flat out on a lap where youve messed up an earlier corner

I can share my lap when I get home if you like mate, I'm not sure how much help it will be though?

I really don’t know exactly, in my view, I can just add 2 lines in the main screen and they run together - I’ll look later and send some screen shots

On another note, I was so close to a 47 in race B at lunch, had a 48.775 on the board, around the last corner at -0.829 up!!! Race started literally a foot from the line 🤬

🤣 it’s coming

Respect to you guys who can go full throttle at the chicane of death. I love this track, but I'm hopeless at that chicane. Never get the steering inputs right. If I don't smash into the wall, I am not consistent enough to not let my car bounce strangely on the kerbs. You have to aim such that your wheels are on both sides of the kerbs? Let this week be the week that I maybe learn to do it!
I'm not racing this week but I agree, I can run with A drivers through the ret of the track but bleed 6 to 7 tenths on them through COD.

What car were you in? A 47 seems like a pipe dream in the cars I've tried so far.

In the Atenza, always go with the meta unless it’s the Citroen GT 🤣

Believe me mate, it’s takes some work, when I first started racing GT online, I was 5 secs off the top times, now nearer 2 but just keep going mate, watching the guides, the replays, your wife will hate you for it, but that’s just a bonus 🤣

It’s deffo coming mate!!!

I’ve just shaved nearly half a second off and lost a tenth and a bit on the final turn back up! Let out an audible whoop when I bailed the chicane with 6 tenths in the blue 😂😂😂

Got myself back into the top 1000 which I’m buzzing about again. Think I’m enjoying the quali more than the race!!!

I’ve shared lap as well that Mr B 1.47.607

Jeez Louise mate, that’s awesome going, I think this will be your week!! Well until @Barney Da Dog and @newmedia_dev show up!

I might scrape into the 47s but I doubt that far! You’re a hustler bro 🤣

Keep going mate!!! I started in mid Dec and was way off the pace, it comes quick if you put the graft in!!!

There is no substitute for time behind the wheel but things that helped me were:

Tons of YouTube:

DG LLuc Nodaro
Digit racing
Tidgney
Sammysnake
Kizzi

These guys all have race craft videos and how to be quick etc…..

I spend hours on YouTube and each day 😂toilet - YouTube. In a lift - YouTube. Teams meeting that I don’t need to be in - YouTube!!! 🤷‍♂️

The guys here are fantastic with any questions as well so post in here lots and get involved in the community!

Big thing for me was learning the racing line and slow in fast out! I thought firing into every corner was quick (don’t mistake understeer for speed). For example T2 at DT this week I’m braking way earlier than I was just so I can get the power down way earlier!

Data logger and replays are great too

The best thing is tidgneys guide! I’ll watch this whilst driving and pause every one or two corners and watch the next bit.

Oh and circuit experiences make a huge huge difference where you can practice troublesome sectors!!!!

Sorry got excited and started rambling 😂 hope that makes sense

I reckon you’ll sail into the 47’s tonight mate!!!!

Hopefully those Aliens are too busy trying to learn race C 😂😂😂

So what car did you use?

I've been time trialling for over 20 years (started on PGR 3 hmm or was it 2!?) past couple on Forza Motorsport '23 and thought I was quick until I ditched Forza and got into GT7! Bit of a wake up call to say the least. Then again FM'23 has no players lol!

I reckon DR B is going to be my limit in this.

Atenza mate.

It’s so stable over the curbs and you can literally just stamp on the gas and never lose the back.

Sorry I thought you were a new player 😂😂 teaching you to suck eggs with my newbie advice 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I’ve never played any racing games before so don’t know those but I guess if you’ve got that experience then once you’re used to the different physics of Gt7 you’ll be just as quick as you were!

I wanted to ask something quickly: could someone recommend a GT3 car that I can buy cheaply so I can earn more money in GT3 races? I'm still a beginner in GT7. :)

You don't need to buy any. Every Daily Race - with very few exceptions, such as a couple of recent tuning events - allows you to borrow a car, with the appropriate tyres available, for a race at no cost.

Yes, thank you, but doesn't "borrowed" just mean borrowing? Doesn't that mean it gets taken away after a while? And if I were to buy a GT3 car after the one I borrowed, which one would you recommend? :)

First time ever (I think) I've tasted all three of the week's races.
Tried C after watching Tidgney having fun, but no, it's a mess, started P16 with no QT, finished P10 because of quitters and so much mayhem. Not a fun race for me, and life's too short to learn Nords backwards in fast crashy cars ( maybe they should started with a road car race there?)
B is a bit sterile and boring, cars too slow/stable and track too forgiving and well-trod. Seems like everyone's going through the motions.
A isn't as good as I thought it was gonna be yesterday, lots and lots of pushing and easing people out, and too many corners that encourage it. Set a good QT so usually on front row, but L1 T1 is a nightmare, absolute sitting duck, should've been rolling start with more space between cars. Won a few but not fun, three laps of waiting for the guys behind to 'forget' to brake. And tbf, the car isn't the easiest on this track, easy to make genuine mistakes too, not a bad thing but makes it hard to tell who the wrong 'uns are. Got a feeling it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better...

Although the Atenza is meta in Race B qualiifying, it certainly hasn't dominated the races I've been in.

Did 4 races this afternoon, and only 1 was won by an Atenza. The other winners were WRX, Mustang and a Suzuki Swift, none of which feature in the top 1000 QTs.

Why is there always someone who can row the Swift around really fast? The guy started behind me in P13, caught me up and passed me before turn 1, and then just stormed past everyone else for the win!

I just wanted to say something briefly. I'm not very experienced in Gran Turismo yet, still a beginner, but I've driven the Nordschleife before and I'd recommend that if you're not yet familiar with the corners, drive slowly through them. Don't accelerate gently, but don't accelerate too much either. Let the car roll a bit, so don't steer too hard. Steer very slowly around the corners. This way you can get better lap times on the Nordschleife and, I don't know if this is true, you can also overtake other drivers. It was just a tip from me. :)

Yes, you never own it. You use it for one race (and any practice/qualifying beforehand). However you can do it again in the next race, and as many subsequent races as you like, still at no cost.

Buying any Gr.3 (and it is "Gr.3", not "GT3"; the class contains non-GT3 cars too) will cost you at least 450,000cr. You'll need to do a lot of races to make that money back, so if your goal is to earn more money then buying the car is not the approach to take.

And if I were to buy a GT3 car after the one I borrowed, which one would you recommend? :)
It depends on the event. As the Balance of Performance is one power/weight specification for all circuits, what car works on one track one week may not work on another in the next.

Look at the Top 100 leaderboards and if there's one car appearing significantly more than the others, that's the one you should be borrowing.

Going slowly during a race is not ideal, and overtaking other drivers is part of what makes it a race.

Practicing shouldn't be done during races, but during practice. It's also not the Nordschleife, but the reverse layout.

Thanks for the tips, but I do know Nords, I've won plenty of dailies there (in road cars).

But the problem is, this is the first ever time they've put a race on it BACKWARDS!!

Try it. Lol.

A+ driver sandbagging it probably! 😁

I had a weird one yesterday, used my owned Atenza and it was dog slow, didn’t need oil or anything even though that don’t matter in bop races but everyone was just faster than me, went back to a rental and it was fine but I sold the dud after that!

It's all good mate. :)

Biggest difference in physics is under braking. In Forza you braked into the corner to help rotate the car. Most top players set the rear brake bias to....craziness. I'm finding in GT7 you release the brakes to rotate the car and the heavily worn, deep track in my old brain is having trouble adapting.

Extra brownie points for beating meta in non-meta though! In DR C lobbies anyone can win in anything it seems.

Okay 👍 Is it really that difficult to drive the Nordschleife in reverse?

Looks pretty difficult judging by watching all the A+ streamers completely bin it all day Monday 😂😂😂

Anyone doing Race A? @bone_tone sae yiur time on it!

How do you drive these cars, just feels so floaty like there is zero control, got absolutely no idea what I’m doing 😂

It is in Gr 3 cars.

Think it might be ok at GTR or Evo speeds. But even then, why?...

My advice to anyone who's thinking of giving it a go: be as good as Tidgney, or at least focus on staying on the tarmac (avoid the kerbs, avoid the kerbs, avoid the kerbs, far easier said than done if you're used to putting wheels on them when going the normal way round). Just stay on the track and you'll pick up places as people crash and/or quit.

Yes, my best time at the Nürburgring, on the normal Nordschleife track, was 6 minutes 35 seconds. :)

I haven't tried the race yet, qualifying was bad enough - not because of the car, but because of the really low sun.

As an old guy with cataracts in my eyes, the sun makes it impossible to see where I'm going! 😂

It may be different in the race of course....

Talking of qualifying re racing, has anybody else noticed that you appear to be sitting closer to the track in quali compared to the race? It was especially noticeable at St Croix last week.

I would recommend the Porsche GT3 992 '22. This one: Porsche 911 GT3R '22

It's 900,000 credits in the Brand Central Porsche Dealership. I find it to be very stable and very competitive no matter what the BOP (Balance of Performance) is for the online racing that week. It's also great in the single player races where it's allowed.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'll save up for the car, but honestly, it costs almost half a kidney – 900,000 credits. 😐🤙

Wow your time is fast for race B 😳. Used your ghost 👻 and knocked off .360 so thank you 🙏🏻.
Onwards and upwards and time to analyse ‘our’ laps in the data logger 👨🏻‍🎓
