Said nobody in PD ever 🙈

Had WG quite recently too I think. Hopefully different combos, though C will likely be GR3 and mostly BMWs again
😁 DF reverse would have been a peach! But it’s really my least favourite GT themed track,

I can’t do another week in C although I do like WG
If the car is decent, Race A will be my home next week so 🤞🏼

In other news I've finished all Golds on my Super Master Licences (some were flippin' difficult!). So will now run some QTs.
Yeah here holding out for a peach of a combo 🤞

It's the EID break next week over here so I've go the whole week off so hoping Watkins Glenn is going to be a belter as I'll have quite a bit of time to stick into it
I'm realy intrigued by the choice of racing tyres that are allotted. RH & RS. This will really up the ante of the daily race C participation.

Deep Forest seems like a Gr.4 race again which also has it's minor merits.

Usually, I only prefer daily race C because then players in this race are mostly sane & patient whereas in the other two (A and B), it's shoving time! I thoroughly love Nurburgring reverse but in the 2 races I took part in, it felt as if I was a part of WWE Royal Rumble match....LOL.

I've been spending most of my week in B having a blast but am now trying to get up to speed in C. Having a really hard time of it tbh, I am way off pace. I'm not very used to Gr4 and am probably not aggressive enough on the throttle, but more than that I've been unable to find consistency in the chikane of death. Do you all go full throttle through there on mediums? What car are you finding most predictable through there?

I find the Cayman easiest to go flat through the CoD, certainly easier than the Atenza which doesn’t seem to respond well to minor adjustments. Still clench my buttocks every single time though 🤣. The Citroen is probably quite good as well as it seems to be the meta for the race, I can’t drive that as it’s terrible in VR.
TyrannoCyrusRex has posted a detailed breakdown of how to do it. It feels easy when you get it right, but it’s also easy to F it up and that’s pretty much race over!

As some one suggested, do try the Cayman. Also try a good FR car such as F-Type or C7 because the heavy front makes the negotiating of the second bit of CoD easier. In my C7, so many times I gain ground on Atenzas ahead of me because of the ease the C7 or any FR car would have through there.

Full throttle I rarely go just because I'm on a controller. A player with wheel & pedal setup will get it about right every lap. Check TyrannoCyrusRex's vide from 1 or 2 pages back which I shared here. He's given such precise & detailed tips to negotiate CoD as if a single long turn instead of two left handers.

I found the Citroen easier than the Atenza, not sure if it's a little bit narrower or not.

SimGt has a good lap good for the C4 and I think it's spaggattoni is in the top 5 with it so you can check his replay and follow his ghost.

Also if you are struggling flat out, then a very brief 15/20% lift as you are coming into the final part of it makes it much easier and you lose less than a tenth in total so not a huge loss and keeps you in the race.

@Shackster is right the video by Tyrannus really simplifies it, in short it says to treat it as a sweeping left hander where you are always turning. I find I take the full first curb as I'm turning right, then just touch the 2nd curb and then track out to the wall and just shy of brushing it where the Marshalls are and then have the car come back in for the final part. Hope that makes sense.

Don’t you just love it at dragon trail when you think you’ve won by chasing down the lead car and getting away from him only to be gezumped on the last lap by a early pitter 😁

Not sure what wheel you’re on but I use the fanatec and wheel sens set at 500 and I can run that flat out now every time, just got to remember to turn early like you’re skimming it

Prior to that in the Atenza I found that one even easier only because the Atenza feel slower 😁

A could be interesting as they usually run that one with one of the super mini type cars.

Deep forest guessing will be the Atenza again

And C well that’s usually the M6
Oh mate, now you’re talking because I could do with a week racing them autobianchi

They were even fun at deep forest if I remember right 😁

And I’m still waiting for more civic racing at Tokyo 🤣

@Stringerbell funny thing was that I started third, the winner second and he was holding me up for two laps and must have taken advantage of my slow laps 6-9 or something so I’m going for starting in hard and pitting lap 3 next 😁

What car are you in?

Tried this one today and it works a treat! Start on hard and pit lap 1

Started 9th today finished 3rd 😁

It does work! Still seeing drivers doing 1/2 the race on hards in B lobbies. Crazy.

Twice tried doing 10 on mediums and both times put mediums on when pitting by mistake and blew podiums. So used to clicking on mediums after 1 lap!!!!

Good evening this evening in some quick lobbies so was starting mid pack but enjoyed some good racing with top 6 results. Went for one more race, managed to hit the COD on 3 separate occasions and was dead last coming round the final bend to start the final lap and PD terminated the connection to save me 😂

Just used the force and drove the C7 to a 1:47.743 which clipped some more time orf.
@Stringerbell that time of yours is mega 😳💪🏻🤠
Thank you mate. That’s 008 is really bugging me though!! Good to see you back racing!!!

Thanks to some good advice here I was able to be competitive tonight in C. Can finally get through chikane of death consistently and improved my quality with more than a second. From driving a buss at the back of the field to fighting for 8-11 place is good progress on a map I find difficult 😊

If anyone want to add me to their TT list I would appreciate it. BigB_1689

I'll do so Mate in 3 hours from now. The motto of my friend's list is 'The more, the merrier.' :gtpflag:

Had an early finish yesterday so I did a few Daily Race A's (all I am doing at the moment as a DR-D/SR-S).

But what I was wondering is how people go about prepping for their own new Daily Race week?

Is it wise to do 50-100 (or more) time trial laps to get track/car knowledge up (and times down) and put myself into a position to race against better competition...or do the 20-30 laps and

I feel like I know the answer, but was just wondering what a new race week looks like for drivers at different levels (any Race: A/B/C, any DR: E/D/C/B/A/A+/S).
