Yeah as suspected, no pace at Inrerlagos. Tried a few cars but nothing came close to the 992, I just do not gel with the audi. QT a 33.1, a solid 8 tenths off where I need to be, ran one race and finished second last. I dunno, I just can't keep up.
I was happy seeing @Tidgney in one of my fav cars in the game - Audi R8 '19. I'll be trying this car today.

BTW, have You tried the pocketrocket RCZ Gr.3 car? This was my choice yesterday where I managed a decent TT of 1:32:6xx without knowing the precise braking references. This car I love as well. I even tried the AMG GT3 '20 which is my favorite Gr3 car. A FR car may not be as strong as a MR car when it comes to tyre wear.

P.S. - If You saw Tidgney's lap guide vid, did You see his gameplay of his race with the Audi R8? He suggested +3 or +5 for BB but said +3 is ideal for the race as a whole.

Try to set a fast lap on controller and then switch to wheel and follow your ghost. It might be helpful.

I'm in a wonderful little loop of doing 6 or 7 laps of quali at Interlagos and wondering why I'm not stopping at my braking points and am way off pace to then realise I'm on racing hards. 🤦‍♂️

I wish I could say this was a one off and I've learned my lesson but it's pretty much every quali! Not a quick learner by the looks of things.

Be careful Mate....don't end up crashing a la Stroll & Leclerc.............:D

I see Lewis Burton putting the RCZ in 3rd by 50 msec at Interlagos.
I think I've found the car to race on my alt account. I made a livery some time ago but never raced yet. So I think now it's the right time.

It's because of how good this car is that I chose Peugeot in the recently concluded Manu event with my secondary a/c.

Interlagos is such a slippy track that really seems to punish going into fast and turning too much, enjoying trying to get to grips with it. Need to get some flow through the middle sections.

Had a couple of races on the Alt account - have managed to get my race lap times in a consistent window of high 1.32's to low 1.37's

This my just be me, but does anyone else notice that the force feedback is really rough round interlagos?

Waiting for TyrannoCyrusRex's vid on his channel for the antimeta car of Race C at Sao Paolo. I wonder if it will be RCZ or Huracan? IMO, Race C at Sao Paolo is one of the best Race C's of this year.

Race B is fun too. I played twice (once with Corvette C7 & the other with Subaru WRX). It's enjoyable in its own right.

I always watch Tidge's weekly guide. I'll give the RCZ a try but in the past i've struggled with it, might try the 296 too. I lose so much time in sector 2, my usual issue of just not carrying enough speed through fiddly bits. TBH not driving great right now, work is super busy, lots going on in life, struggling for time and concentration and at Interlagos I need to be really dialed in, driving at 10/10ths, if not I bleed time to DRA guys.

To echo those thoughts ignoring the actual race choices, I’ve had a lot going on at home which has killed a lot of my motivation recently so completely get that, some of it good stuff (wife’s 50th, decorating etc, and some of it work pressure and stress) so my desire to race has been quite low.

Bizarre though it seems, we all have lives outside of this forum. Occasionally you have to go and live it.

Yes I remember you saying that. Less about desire to race I guess and more less about willing to totally dial in and focus so to speak, as I am having to work quite hard to keep up with the crowd in DRA/A+ rooms. Having aging family 16,000km away isn't helping.

Oh forgot to ask, I'm either totally losing it or the 296 is not coming up as a rental option for Race C, is this a thing?

Stay strong Mate. We all love GT7 but the game is a part of our lives & not vice versa. If You need to pay greater attention at Your personal life just to ease the stress, do that first. GT7 is always there. It's always good to take a break.

I had reached a plateau myself with daily races in April. Took a little breather with time off from the game & am again enjoying the dailies as before. I don't play as much as I did (at times 7-11 Race C's a day) so as to keep me motivated to come online to play.

Cheers Mate. Wishing Your stress eases off in the near future. :)

Upon a suggestion here I tried the RCZ and the 296. The RCZ felt very safe and I matched my 992 time. The 296 immediately felt fast, as in the first few corners I thought, damn, this must be down 100hp because it handles so well. Found it tough to tie a lap together as the rear end is not as planted as other cars, managed a 32.8 but optimal of 32.4 suggests the 296 is some half a second faster than the optimal I can manage in any other car.

Tried one race in the RCZ as the fezza felt too nervous for me to race with, started 10th and finished 12, felt I drove OK but yeah pace is difficult for me in DRA rooms at this track, I cannot quite keep up with the pack.

Isn't the 296 too dodgy over kerbs? The backend will spin out crazy over a high kerb. I found the RCZ more stable than the R8.

BTW, TyrannoCyrusRex has chosen the 458 Italia as the best antimeta car for Sao Paolo.....

Stoked to get my first win in Rank B;
Mostly just managed to start near front, stay clean, have an alternative strategy, and I found myself with a 5 second lead once every pitted with a couple laps left. Guy chasing me down was much faster - his fastest lap 1.5 seconds more than mine. But I’m assuming he had some battles that kept him back earlier on.

Always tough to keep my concentration after a long day of work and then putting the kids to bed. My eyes felt very dry at the end but they stayed open long enough.

I’ve been a 458 guy since GTS, and Interlagos has been a 458 track even in GT7 until recently it seems. Maybe it’s because of the multipliers for this race, who knows.

Regardless, I decided to jump into the dailies this morning when I got home from work, for the first time in at least a year. I decided to try to build my oceanic account to A+. I’m sitting at a 1:31.7 (or something) right now, with more in the lap if I followed a ghost, I reckon. I did some experimenting and I’m able to do a 1-14 strategy with the 458 with only a second of drop off from my FL if I’m good on my tires and take more conservative braking points. I really like Interlagos, as it’s a good fit for my driving style. Unfortunately I go back to work for 3-4 days, so I won’t be able to give it another go till sometime this weekend.

I really miss doing dailies!

I've had that mate, and used to force myself to race as felt I was missing out/falling behind which just isn't true. Taking some time off to reignite the joy of racing can be good! Plus adding the stress of tough racing on top of a busy schedule can add unnecessary stress.

Mate I feel this 100% for me to get a fast time and be competitive towards the top of A like I was at Kyoto and Dragon Trail it takes so much time and effort and watching replays and time trialing etc... that I just haven't had any desire to do it the last few weeks. Just resigned myself to start in the bottom half and enjoy the racing. Although I cannot for the life of me race on RH so I have to start on the mediums to try and get some space and just cling on. Sometimes taking away that stress/expectation to be competitive at at the top opens up some more enjoyable racing.

I was the same as this, not as many race C's but back to back racing for 3-4 hours, does take it's toll and burn you out

What is frustrating me a bit is inconsistent race pace, I can get mid 33 on a flying lap but mostly I'm in the 34's and sometimes 35's and just off the pace through out. This is leading to people bumping and pushing to pass me, which I can't be too annoyed about as I am just out of position and in the way most of the time.

Think my issue is that I'm too aggressive with my driving style on corner entry but when I try and ease off I lose the line and my apex speed drops too low. Love seeing how the top guys cars just float round the track. My tyres sound like they're going to pop off the car most of the time. Oh well work in progress :D

It seems like the most difficult set of races for me would most likely be the Daily C combos, doing loads of laps and then if I'm ahead, I have to enter the pit and then several players pass me. But if you don't pit, you will get a 1 minute penalty which will automatically put you in the back.

UPDATE: Guys, I have some bad news. My grandpa fell in the bathroom last Tuesday morning. Our cousin left 5 minutes before he fell, so my grandpa had to call the paramedics to help him up. They took him to Duke Hospital immediately and did a bunch of tests that night, his blood pressure was 200/92. He can stand but cannot walk at all now, he stayed in the hospital for a week, he was transferred to a facility, he may possibly have to stay there indefinitely to get full time care. That means our income will be cut, we usually have his financial help.

So basically I may not be able to get a ps5 this year, it might be another year, year and a half. How have things been coming along here?

That surely is bad. Hoping things get well for Your Grandpa in time. Stay positive & cheerful in the smallest of ways & do this for Your Grandpa too. Time is the best healer so hoping things improve or get better with time. Keep the faith Mate.....:)

Sorry to hear that Chris, went through a long period of falls, hospital stays and increasing frailty with my mother before she moved into a nursing home. I hope he’s comfortable at least.

Thank you guys, he's doing good. The people from the hospital transported him to the facility last night at about 6:00pm. I have no idea when I'll get back to daily racing, who knows? But I'll keep you guys posted. He's in a private room with a TV/cable.

Well I hardly raced last week as I wasn't feeling the love for any of them..

But this week it's 3 good races, and I'm starting my week on at work 🙄

I did squeeze in a couple of B races yesterday - very intense, close racing against what seemed like most of the top 20 fastest guys. Went from 10th to 5th, which was one overtake, and the rest were freebies.

Wish they could have maybe upped the tyre wear, chucked in a pitstop or something to make it more interesting 🤔 otherwise it's just a fast snake of cars.

Will hopefully get a couple of Race C's in tonight afternoon work...
