Yeah as suspected, no pace at Inrerlagos. Tried a few cars but nothing came close to the 992, I just do not gel with the audi. QT a 33.1, a solid 8 tenths off where I need to be, ran one race and finished second last. I dunno, I just can't keep up.
I was happy seeing @Tidgney in one of my fav cars in the game - Audi R8 '19. I'll be trying this car today.

BTW, have You tried the pocketrocket RCZ Gr.3 car? This was my choice yesterday where I managed a decent TT of 1:32:6xx without knowing the precise braking references. This car I love as well. I even tried the AMG GT3 '20 which is my favorite Gr3 car. A FR car may not be as strong as a MR car when it comes to tyre wear.

P.S. - If You saw Tidgney's lap guide vid, did You see his gameplay of his race with the Audi R8? He suggested +3 or +5 for BB but said +3 is ideal for the race as a whole.

Try to set a fast lap on controller and then switch to wheel and follow your ghost. It might be helpful.

I'm in a wonderful little loop of doing 6 or 7 laps of quali at Interlagos and wondering why I'm not stopping at my braking points and am way off pace to then realise I'm on racing hards. 🤦‍♂️

I wish I could say this was a one off and I've learned my lesson but it's pretty much every quali! Not a quick learner by the looks of things.

Be careful Mate....don't end up crashing a la Stroll & Leclerc.............:D

I see Lewis Burton putting the RCZ in 3rd by 50 msec at Interlagos.
I think I've found the car to race on my alt account. I made a livery some time ago but never raced yet. So I think now it's the right time.

It's because of how good this car is that I chose Peugeot in the recently concluded Manu event with my secondary a/c.

Interlagos is such a slippy track that really seems to punish going into fast and turning too much, enjoying trying to get to grips with it. Need to get some flow through the middle sections.

Had a couple of races on the Alt account - have managed to get my race lap times in a consistent window of high 1.32's to low 1.37's

This my just be me, but does anyone else notice that the force feedback is really rough round interlagos?

Waiting for TyrannoCyrusRex's vid on his channel for the antimeta car of Race C at Sao Paolo. I wonder if it will be RCZ or Huracan? IMO, Race C at Sao Paolo is one of the best Race C's of this year.

Race B is fun too. I played twice (once with Corvette C7 & the other with Subaru WRX). It's enjoyable in its own right.

I always watch Tidge's weekly guide. I'll give the RCZ a try but in the past i've struggled with it, might try the 296 too. I lose so much time in sector 2, my usual issue of just not carrying enough speed through fiddly bits. TBH not driving great right now, work is super busy, lots going on in life, struggling for time and concentration and at Interlagos I need to be really dialed in, driving at 10/10ths, if not I bleed time to DRA guys.

To echo those thoughts ignoring the actual race choices, I’ve had a lot going on at home which has killed a lot of my motivation recently so completely get that, some of it good stuff (wife’s 50th, decorating etc, and some of it work pressure and stress) so my desire to race has been quite low.

Bizarre though it seems, we all have lives outside of this forum. Occasionally you have to go and live it.

Yes I remember you saying that. Less about desire to race I guess and more less about willing to totally dial in and focus so to speak, as I am having to work quite hard to keep up with the crowd in DRA/A+ rooms. Having aging family 16,000km away isn't helping.

Oh forgot to ask, I'm either totally losing it or the 296 is not coming up as a rental option for Race C, is this a thing?

Stay strong Mate. We all love GT7 but the game is a part of our lives & not vice versa. If You need to pay greater attention at Your personal life just to ease the stress, do that first. GT7 is always there. It's always good to take a break.

I had reached a plateau myself with daily races in April. Took a little breather with time off from the game & am again enjoying the dailies as before. I don't play as much as I did (at times 7-11 Race C's a day) so as to keep me motivated to come online to play.

Cheers Mate. Wishing Your stress eases off in the near future. :)

Upon a suggestion here I tried the RCZ and the 296. The RCZ felt very safe and I matched my 992 time. The 296 immediately felt fast, as in the first few corners I thought, damn, this must be down 100hp because it handles so well. Found it tough to tie a lap together as the rear end is not as planted as other cars, managed a 32.8 but optimal of 32.4 suggests the 296 is some half a second faster than the optimal I can manage in any other car.

Tried one race in the RCZ as the fezza felt too nervous for me to race with, started 10th and finished 12, felt I drove OK but yeah pace is difficult for me in DRA rooms at this track, I cannot quite keep up with the pack.

Isn't the 296 too dodgy over kerbs? The backend will spin out crazy over a high kerb. I found the RCZ more stable than the R8.

BTW, TyrannoCyrusRex has chosen the 458 Italia as the best antimeta car for Sao Paolo.....
