I absolutely loved this Tokyo track when it was a race C a while back. I'm always a little afraid to try a race B because of desperate drivers that fight for every corner.

That being said.. This was also the experience in my only race C yesterday. People barging through and taking each other out. I don't know why but I'm too hot-headed for this kind of behavior and many times I end up rage/disappoint quiting after I've been spun around several times. I can hold my own in B lobbies (at least in sub 20.000 DR B points lobbies) but I never seem to get out of them because this many quitting hits my DR stats hard of course. I just don't like driving on my own 10 seconds behind everyone after being punted. Then I'll go do something else with my day. Of course, today is a new day so I probably will have a go again. Not every race is bad. :D

I try to treat them as practice laps when I get taken out but I know what you mean I’m not happy. And Race c is particularly bad this week. PD should start handing out 1 min penalties. The punters were getting 3 seconds. With that system the victim is punished harder cause the punter makes the corner.

Am really digging Race C in (my) antimeta cars. I started racing here with the C7 as it's a powerful machine with good acceleration. Would get a little twitchy in the slow turns but that's fine. When I shifted to the AMG, it was even more fun, stable & fast. In my race where I finished (in the SLS AMG) behind a Mate in the GT by Citroen, I kept bumpdrafting him in the starting laps to create a gap to the ones behind me who were fighting it out from lap 1. That's why such a big gap to third place. I was happy with second as I kept bumpdrafting him till the finish line. Didn't want to make a move which could hurt our races. Plus, he's a clean driver & a fast one too so I was always there to bumpdraft & help both of ourselves in the bargain!

S2 is such a thrill to drive through. The Mate was quicker in S2 in his GT by Citroen whereas I was quicker in S1 & S3 in the SLS AMG.

That's smart of course. I only quit if I get taken out 2 or 3 times in the same race and are a long way behind. If it's only 1 incident, or if I have the feeling I can maybe gain back some places because it is still very early in the race then I also continue driving.

Nice to see you out there @brockie albeit the back of your car as we cross the finish line 😎

Been some fun racing this morning, think I’m going to have to move over to C at some point as it’s just stressful round Tokyo 😂 but I’m being lazy and just can’t be bothered to learn a new track!

Just ordered my new rig this morning so will be sitting by the window for waiting for the delivery man for the next two weeks!

Rather than rage quit & suffer a huge DR hit just pit and don’t action any tyre change. You will then at least finish the race. ✌️🤠

I never quit if I get hit & am last. Unless I'll keep losing time to the rest of the pack because of them being in each other's slipstream.

P.S. - I'll race as long as I feel it's practical to do so. If I quit it's only if I'm more than 1 minute away from the leader. So by quitting at least all of them don't have to wait up to 1:30mins for me to cross the line. I rather quit so they're free to enter a new race in the timespan which could've been spent in waiting for me to hit the chequered flag.

I also do this. But sometimes I just want to play another PS5 game directly. Then I just quit abruptly and start up Baldur's Gate 3 for example.

My lobbies for Race A have been amazing since I upped my quali pace a little.

Starting around 6th has me usually leading the "rest of the pack" whilst the really quick handful race off into the distance. A couple of races I found myself alongside @ImbaSteckdose yesterday, and some really good side by side battling was shown. Everyone has been mostly clean, even if the hair trigger temper has come out from some participants on the odd occasion.

The manoeuvrability of the Alpine suits the venue extremely well, with SM tyres, all in all it's a dream to play and very addictive.

Thought I’d try race C at lunch, it’s a little too long and I’m sure ppl get frustrated with not much happening over take wise, also the GT by Citroen is taking over the lobbies,

I am liking the payouts in B though,

I’m going to give A a go 😂

Have you noticed 1000% payout bonus on Race B is gone?
No way!!!!!!!! What the ‘ell are they playing at!
I mean, it wasn't surprising:
Scratching my head as to why Race B has +1000% reward credits...
It's only usually there for GTWS live event tie-ins, and there isn't one for... a while. Ordinarily it'd be restricted to the dozen Manufacturers Cup cars too, but wasn't.

I understand it. Assuming I would make top5 in just ~15 consecutive Race Bs, I would be able to afford one of the new cars needed for that week seasonal menu. Now it's more fair - it requires around 150 such races :D

Let's face it, prize money in Daily Races (unless there's a bonus) is more of a "thanks for playing" token than anything of financial value.

I’ve totally missed out on Catalunya, this is a great combo! The car is very fun to drive and the racing, when ppl want to race! Is very good, that’s it, lunch breaks adjusted to incorporate a 1220 race time 😁
Race A is pretty good. Fun to time trial on and opportunities to (re)gain positions if/when you mess up in races due to the 5 laps and slightly tricky car handling, mainly oversteer when braking.
You guys have some outstanding times, did a few laps of QT and a race and reckon I can be maybe high/mid 57s

But it’s a little peach that’s for sure! 😁

@Stringerbell as long as they don’t take the monez BACK 🤣😂

This is something I need to remember for myself, I showed up for the racing and I find the economy not that hard but people do care about tickets and credits rather than combos..

I'm a slave the META so now I already have the 992, M6, Atenza, C4, R8 and the WRX there is hardly ever a week I need to buy a car, this week I had to buy the Supra but I think I am now pretty much covered for 95% of the dailies so my credits just sit there going up week by week, shame my real life bank balance doesn't do the same

Really funny the 1000% bonus was obviously only there because they copied the event from last time, where it happened to have a bonus applied. You can tell they really care.

Couldn't rent the 992 and 296 last week either because they copied an event from before they were added.
The daily race crowd must be such a small percentage of the player base for PD to put such little effort into it, do people really focus on the single player mode and tuning etc... much more?
