What a contrast, with a little help from @Stringerbell and some rotation changes, never used 270 degrees before but worked a treat here, went from mid B and struggling to stay in SR S to maxing out B and S and then fighting DR A sorts,

It’s the little things which change your racing

Did manage to beat @Bondwhar time 😁 and did increase DR by 4k today!!!!

Amazing mate. Well done. General rule of thumb for me is faster the car the lower the rotation degrees. I start at 360 and tweak from there .

The game has been a bit "meh" for me lately mainly because I've not been as competitive as I'd like but I had 3 or 4 enjoyable races in A yesterday and even got of the podium which was encouraging.

Worth remembering we don't have to play everyday if we're not enjoying it.

Quite the shock going from starting 3rd to 12th.

I don’t mind it tho, quite like mixing it with then, or trying to!

Going to call it a day as there is a Portuguese driver Lacoste killer in the lobbies now just ruining it for everyone like he has done on many other lobbies I’ve been in with him!

I'm either going to sell my ps5/wheel or sell my RTX5090 (which barely gets used) and get a PS5 Pro depending how each race goes. So yeah going through a love/hate phase. 😕

Get yourself the pro mate, you probably don’t need it but this isn’t the man’s prerogative right? 🤣 just do it cos you want it, it’s better but only very marginally

Is there much difference changing from the PS5 to the Pro?

You’re not enjoying the dailies much at the moment are you? Have you been doing the time trials? I hadn’t done them before but this one at Le Mans is pretty cool

The only difference I noticed was you didn’t get that stutter going into the tunnel in trial mountain, probably there’s a few other ‘places’

I spent £700 to eradicate that 👀

Noob question. What's wrong with the karts for race A next week?

Enjoyed the TT in one at Eiger recently.

I think there's some trepidation because Karts require such a specific driving style.

It's a bit of a Marmite situation.

I've barely touched my PC since Microsoft bumped up the price of gamepass and my previous subscription expired, and even less since getting the PS5/GT7.

I enjoyed building the PC more than using it!

Don't travel, don't even have a passport!

Don't really get much "me" time at all but my interests are plants/gardening, watching Footy, F1 and Movies and Gaming.

Oh you’re a better man than me, I wouldn’t even know where to start with building a PC. I keep toying with the idea of getting a PC and playing iracing but the fear of soothing going wrong or needing configuring puts me off.

Yeah I’m not fussed about DR loss/gain anymore. But I did find at Interlagos having the alt account in B allowed me to have more fun competitive races.

Where I was so inconsistent I’d be starting P8-P12 in an A lobby but I’d get so much contact due to making mistakes and people knocking me off it wasn’t fun. Jumped on the alt for a few days and where people were also making some mistakes there was way less contact and the races were just all round more fun and competitive.

Helped me re-align my thoughts that it’s meant to be a game and fun not just all out competition and a grind to be the best I can be.

Which wheel are you guys using that allows rotation adjustment. I have a Thrustmaster T-GT2 and I can’t change the rotation without a PC. We are Mac users so that’s a no go.
Might be interested in wheel & pedal upgrade if rotation adjustments are going to help. ✌️🤠

Fanatec gtddpro mate with a load cell and CSL wheel 👍

If you can afford it, go for it. New toys are always fun. I'm more comfortable with being able to reduce wheel rotation but I can't say I'm definitely faster overall. Check the standard CSL pedals fit your rig too as there's no base plate included.

You are my yardstick these days mate, it used to be @Stringerbell & @Lightsider74 but now they’re too fast for me 😂 so don’t go getting too fast or I might need to go purchase those new pedals and a DD extreme 🤣

Make sure to get the CSL wheel, it’s cheap and you can change the rotation easily on the go, the base wheel I found quite fiddly

Got my QT in race A down a chunk to 1.56.3xx. Great I thought, let's take that pace into a race. The lobby was 50/50 split DR A/B. Started P3. Got pushed wide, then got a .5 pen for cutting then got swamped and wiped out by an angry Russian. Finished p11 after being a nano second away from another rate quit.

At least that answered the question about whether to sell my GPU and get the Pro. Not a chance. Thinking about taking a break from it.

Firstly thank you to all with positive feedback. I have a XR Racing rig with the Thrustmaster Load cells and the T-GT2. It’s a solid combo but the rotation ‘fudge’ whilst not being the silver bullet, might help.
I shall do some deep research and go from there.

Mate you have weeks like this, maybe next week gives you that break because it looks pony, I spent 75quid on pmr and rennsport which probably will end up wasted but I might give them a go next week.

But stick with it, better times will come (literally) 😁
