Yes exactly those, especially hairpin. Exiting (fast) in 2nd is definitely doable on TC 1 whereas it's almost impossible on TC 2. Not sure how the two settings compare when exiting in 3rd but it worked well for me on TC 1 after I switched my approach. When you say slow exits, I assume you mean the hairpin and Casio (chicane)? If so, try exit in 3rd gear. Degner 2 exit in 4th also worked for me
Degner 2 in 4th works very well yes, but only if you hit the apex well and exit at about 145 kph. Personally this corner was very hard for me due to the high speed nature of the approach. I often bogged down way too hard and /or missing the apex. But of course then the lap is messed up anyways so not really relevant.
Here I finally got it working. I slam the pad stick to the right slightly after the 50 board to hit the apex right after the inside curb where I then do a micro lift.Does anybody have a good tip on how to get through Degner 1 consistently? The optimal line leaves absolutely no room for error. Either turn in too late and run wide or turn in too much, hit the curb and run wide.
I feel like to mitigate this I would have to actually break quite a bit which would lose many tenths I guess.
Right now this corner is an absolute lottery for me.
The lift being ultra short is key here. If you just lift all the way you will understeer off. The power after the lift seems to increase ground effect or something to drag the car around.
Not lifting at all never worked for me either. I always overshot.
