Another tiny improvement with the Zonda.

Did almost nothing for me in terms of ranking, but at least this beauty is now on the leaderboard @bliprunner ;)

What do you know, an enjoyable time trial! Sitting at a 2:03.104 with a few laps in tonight, with plenty of potential to drop down into the 2:02s, which I more than likely will go for.

I think I video captured...the other car at...the other track, so I'll get it onto YT so ya'll can give it a look over and tell me which wizard's magic I should be using.

Actually...I just looked, and the quality is absolutely horrendous, so I don't think that'll be of much use, unfortunately. Like, it is literally offensive to look at. I did share the video to my profile so...maybe it's viewable that way?

Morning folks!

First real session in the LC500.
I think this is one of the easier ones, very balanced! and i think the tires suit the car quite nice here!
Ok...she's heavy but when you know your weightshifting moments it's actually a realy fun car to drive, and you can realy "Yeeeett" it around Watkins.
And i love the S'es and the busstop with this car!

Def. a few tenths to find but quite happy with the result this morning!

Into the 2:01's :gtpflag:

Last apex on the busstop.., you realy need to cut as much as you can, although i did compromise my right hander after this by getting sideways to much...

@bliprunner  easy buddy ... that's not to shaaaabyy at all!

The results for TT182 at Grand Valley - Highway 1 in the Toyota Supra GT Road Car (JZA80) are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT are in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some interim statistics for TT183 at Dragon Trail - Seaside in the Pagani Zonda R '09.

Sorry for not answering back then but I am a wheel user

2:01.585 on controller. This was my first session and I did not expect to get a time like this, let alone a dip into the top 10! Very solid time for the first session, still some room for improvement I think but overall quite a fun combo. I also have an automatic replay on the global leaderboard if anyone wants to see my lap time as I typically don't save my replays except rare occasions like this.

I didn't like any of the standard colours on this car so I bought a new one and painted it red. I also gave it different wheels but they aren't white because they don't work for some reason. Anyway this car handles The Glen quite well with a smooth power delivery and well damped suspension that handles all the bumps. You can really lean on it through the corners.

Damn man, you're making all of us look bad....

Morning!

Started of with a garage custom wheeled LC500 but felt very off compared to my first session....in the rental
So rented again and yeeted the crap out of it

Still sort of a sloppy lap but it was faster than the previous ones 😂😂
S1 wasn't all that great, fastest split after the "Toe" was a low .6xx

Beeing consistent is a major difficulty with this kind of slidefest 😂

Fun though!

Lap saved in-game under LC500 if someone wants to chase 😁🙏

Yup, story of my day yesterday. If I nail the first sector, I mess up the bus stop, if I have an average first sector then I can do a solid bus stop but by then I've already lost the time. If by some miracle I do good S1 and S2, usually screw up somewhere along the way. I had some amazing splits but to put the lap together, that will be difficult. I would be happy with a .600 in the end, I'm currently at .801, @bliprunner is untouchable here :D

Yeah same, for me most of my problems occure in the exit of T9, and when I am slightly off there....it stuffs it up all the way to the line for some reason, then 10 and 11 are doomed or something.😂

I just tried a second short session with a best split of .522 after T7, that's more then 2 tenths of the PB one with a .733😱, So a .5xx is definitely achievable but for me would require to master T9 😂....what a pr*ick that one is to get on throttle.... 😂

I am gradually chipping away at Watkins Glen in the LC500. Beautiful car, and one of my favorite tracks in GT7. This car really tests proficiency with trail braking. I was carrying too much speed into each corner, initiating a slide and angling my car for exit, but ultimately losing grip and exit speed as a result. Turns out, it needs to gently caressed around each corner :) I looked at some top replays and on most corners I'm maybe 1 or 2 mph slower at minimum apex speed than the top drivers, so I'm going to try to clean that up... if I can, there's more time I can find.

I'm at 2:02.100, good for P99 currently, but this is an addicting combo so I'm going to keep trying!

Am I crazy or is there a lot less people competing here these days? I remember a year ago there were much more posts here, a lot of people missing that were active back then, @Dan_Tes @A_Higher_Place @AdxRE @djolliea just to name a few from the top of my head?
Hi mate

I’m still here, are you coming back? I’m just at work in Hong Kong for two months! Hopefully back early February. See y’all then!! Happy lapping and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

(And good to hear from you @Vule 😘)

Morning,

Short session again in the Lexus, thr plan was a big session but the bed felt better than the sofa 😂😂

I went a whole 2 thousands of a second faster 😂😂

1000044844.webp

But it is VERY frustrating with a shoe split of .7xx again because I totally stuffed it up...

1000044845.webp

S1 31.573 S2 43.144........ 1:14.772

The... on a stuffed up T9...

1000044846.webp

S1 31.573 S2 42.990.......1:14.563

Very consistent on S1.....how in the world....😂😂

But in total I think I had about 10-ish .5xx splits now with the lowest beeing .522 and didn't stick it ones in the last sector 😂
It's starting to get annoying now 🙈😂

I'm going back again, don't know when, but I can't stand this 😂😂

But I have to say, very good combo and good tires choise, I realy dont understand the "handles like a boat" it doesn't

I can imagine this is more pronounced on a wheel, but it feels boaty to me as well especially driving it right after the Zonda. Like @bigfluffy888 said it needs super gentle inputs or else you'll lose it immediately. That being said, it is really satisfying once you get the hang of it. Broke into 2:01 yesterday at 2:01.948. Perhaps a tenth more is in the cards ... nowhere close to your S2 splits however @Gomario JSP . I am usually happy to get below 1:15 and had one 1:14.790 on a miracle lap :)

You must go quicker in that turn one :D You have a better lap than me for now, but I was doing regular .430-450 S1, even had one .385, but every single time stuffed up the bus stop. I hate the bus stop, I'm so inconsistent there that I would rather go through the chicken of death than the bus stop...
385 in S1 😱....... if I noticed such a S1 split ( wich I luckly don't pay attention to on that point cause if I do I'm to late for the 500m board 😂😂) I would also bin the busstop 😂
And If I were you, I would focus on the CoD then and let me have this one 🙏😂😂😂

Could be true, calster is on P1 and I "semi" can keep up for now with them big boys if i stick the last sector...and apparently T1 😂, so there is a good chance this one is easier on the pad, ... splendid lap by myself ofcourse 😂, but in all fairness we could have some advantage here.

We will see were this ends....
Although I know one day I boot up and get kicked down 2 places by you two 🙈👌

Yeah, I was wondering same thing, since I am still getting used to wheel and pedals what was wrong with this car, had much easier time handling Supra and Zonda...
First 100 km only silver...

1000046822.webp

Then I turned on CA strong and dropped my time
1000046824.webp

and started getting used to it and was just about to start proper session when my lady enters living room and say "it smells like in garage here" I guess Thrustmaster warming up and smelling rubber... So we opened windows...a bit chili here today 🥶
