Yeah, lap felt ok-ish.... only the ranking showed something else.....🤣🤣🤣
Glad I am not the only one feeling this way šŸ˜„ I was proud to have gone below 2:18 but looks like this will barely be enough for top 1,000 😳

I think I will keep pushing even though I usually hate Spa. But the car is excellent, plus I am in the honeymoon period with my new wheel šŸ˜ (so glad I took the plunge). And finally, that lap time challenge league I joined a few weeks ago has people in it who are dropping 2:17s left and right, so every hundredth counts :)

Good luck everyone.

I must be one of the very few not having fun at Spa with the Porker.. Or maybe it’s frustration as I can’t seem to break into Gold! Best I’ve managed was last night with a 2:20.924. Tried again this afternoon but just got so many laps wrong with only one in the 20.983. Gave up in the end lol

Nice work buddy!
Well..... noticed the name of my youtube upload was 1:18.018 ...... maby it's a sign 🤣
Ill try to get in the 17's ofcourse.

That league you joined isn't realy benefitting us btw...... šŸ¤£šŸ¤ŖšŸ‘ŒšŸ™

Hi everyone!

It looks like the Ardennes attracts the fastest drivers in the world... although some here find the combo boring.

For me, it will be difficult to figure well in the ranking so I need to set myself another goal.

@Oshawa-Joe , I am 0.100 seconds away from you.

Now that you have given me a tool, let’s see if I can join you šŸ‘¹

This TT is interesting. I love hearing the roar of flat 6 and the interior in Vr is very nice šŸ˜

A question, did I dream or is there a way to get a retrovision camera in the habitable? I try to change the options of the equipment in the back... without getting any changes?

PS: I should devote some time to the RBR and the Mazda. My result is bad... but I don’t like the combo.

Awesome! I'm running a SNAIL League practice lobby for another 1.5 hours and then try the TT again.

Morning folks - some laps this morning while the family was asleep. Many opportunities spoiled be the green sticks from hell šŸ˜†, but finally managed to squeeze a tenth out… leaderboard is crazy tight, half a tenth would move me up 100 or so places!

And just about got that gold but only just! I can see where I’m going wrong (don’t know the names of the corners) but not sure how to drive any quicker around them sections. The ghosts I load just seem to pull away, if I push any harder, car starts to understeer and drift off track.

Morning guys,

Sunday morningruns at Spa,
I was so off this morning, S1 was ok-ish and better than yesterday, but S2 with T10 (hairpin) and T11 were such a pain in the ****
Incould not get T10 to work, 2nd gear and the car just wouldn't rotate, and yeeet it in 1st did upset the rear again and again what compromises my line for T11, there is such a small window to get the car to the right....
This section is definitely my weakpoint at Spa!

My goal was getting into the 17's, so goal achieved, but i am realy not sure if I am going to hammer this one cause it has been said before but 1.19% of the top and placed 525 is not realy motivating to get lower...
Plus my OPT today was a high .7 and even that would be around 325

So there is not alot to motivate me

Good car, great track, but bad for the average TT placing 🤣

And I must say.....the top is insanely fast in this category

(In know.....upload shows 1:17 ....again....šŸ™ˆ..I suck 🤣🫔..... )

Yeah, same here, S2 in general has always been my weak "spot" at Spa and the reason I generally disliked the track, though I have to say I began to understand it better during this event. Nearing the end of yesterday's session it all seemed to click and I even had a 1:41.570 S2 split that could have carried me to a 2:17.5 (obviously I uncharacteristically botched it in S3)

I look at it this way: it's a rare chance to see how I am actually faring against all those world series drivers who are hammering this combo. So while the placement will definitely be worse than usual, there's also more prestige attached ;)

That's true, fair point.
Devastating news then......we are slower than we thought 🤣🤣
But it's a great way to learn Spa this way tbh plus I do realy like the 911, sounds so good and a delight to not have boost kick ik, so I just have to except and have fun 🤪😁
Nice .8 by the way šŸ«”šŸ˜šŸ™šŸ‘Œ

You broke in to the 2:17s, nice job! That's my goal too... but probably a far-fetched one

This one is harder that I expected!! I’m still making progress so we’ll see if a 2:17 is possible… I like the car and track but seem to lose a bunch of time across sector 2. Gotta up my game šŸ‘

Had a long session this morning (130miles) at Spa and the lovely 911 RSR. Many bollards were sacrificed again, but finally managed to duck into the 17's with this lap. There may be a 17.89999999 lol in the there somewhere, but I'm not sure I have the patience to grind it out. Hopefully this lap will stick for top 1000. Rarified air for me to be sandwiched between @Dan_Tes and @Gomario JSP, but I dare say it won't last long. @crome is out of touch though - great lap my friend!

What? What are we learning?

@Oshawa-Joe in an allied country, you arrive reducing your laptime by 0.500 sec.

Our intelligence services indicate that you are seriously considering joining the .18.XXX sub club.

This is an unacceptable provocation and we are recalling our ambassador until further notice.

Well done buddy šŸ‘

Thanks! It was all in Pouhon and the last chicane. Finally figured out both a little better. S1 which is my strength was bad tho.

At yesterdays 200 Km session it took a whle until i managed a lap without hitting one of the bollards. But as i did, i could improve by 0,1s:
Spa Gran Turismoā„¢ 7_20260215175346.webp

After that i digged into comparing my lap with the one of the leader in this data comparison tool:
He is much faster in the slow corners. Looks like my trail braking is rubbish.
I went back to the track and actually found up to 0,3s just in turn 1!
But in all the other slow bits i just couldn't go faster. everytime i tried to, i went in too fast and the car started sliding.

On top of that: "Pouhon" will remain a mystery for me.

So there's is quite some work for me to do. Optimal was 1:18,9 - which is my new goal for this TT. Wish me luck guys šŸ‘‹

Thank you mate, appreciate it. I had another run last night and saw a 17.866 optimal, and can totally see a path to going faster than my current PB, so I’m going to keep going. I’m done with the Mazda at RBR so there’s at least another couple of days before something else takes my interest. Of course, putting all the optimal sectors together and actually nailing a faster time is something completely different from seeing an optimal split, but let’s see what happens. So many places to lose tenths quite quickly...

Edit: So near yet so far. Managed an improvement, but started to notice a few things. I know that there's debate on tire temp, so this may be just placebo, and it may just all be a function of me controlling my excitement  but there seems to be some benefit in "cold tire" runs. Did a few stints today with some restarts, and each time, my first lap was the fastest. On the last stint of 10 laps, a few things happened...

Lap 1 - tiny bollard clip at Les Combes but otherwise epic lap - 2:17.860 invalidated
Laps 2-5 - reasonably consistent but with some minor mistakes, but a tenth here and there and the lap disappears
Lap 6 - so close! An improvement, but a little bit of wheelspin out of the bus-stop means it's a 17.922 and a new PB and not 17.8xx. In truth, I was on the back foot after an avg sector 1
Laps 7-9 - rubbish and still thinking about lap 6 and what could have been. Lap 9 in particular was a cruise through sectors 2 and 3 (so that I could finish my coffee if nothing else)
Lap 10 - Strong sector 1 (39.474) , epic sector 2 (1:02.310) but then coming out of Stavelot, I put my outside tires beyond the curb and onto the green. Lap was still valid but tires were dirty, so when I turned into Curve Paul Frere, the front washed wide and the lap was lost. It was at that point that I decided I should go do something else for a bit

Very solid though!, keep pushing then cause there is def. some more to grab for you by the looks of it!
The cold tires question i can't realy have an opinion on, i realy a restart guy, Turn 1... slightly off... restart.... T2...restart and so on, it's all or nothing
On the other hand, you can kind of say that every top 100 time i have set in the past were all on a cold tire start
Still... 1.16% and 572...that's bizar.

Great job!

Another 10 laps at Red Bull Ring.
Found 0.2s at T1 and another 0.15 at T10.
Lost 0.15 in between so my improvement got stuck at 1:33.966, with an optimal of 1:33.8xx
But I achieved my goal of a 1:33 āœ… so that makes me happy.
Think it took me about 45-55 laps so not to big of a push!

1 lap done at Spa got me around 0.4s off of gold...
I'll get there, but wont be as high on the tables as with the Mazda
