Since all the results from @half_sourly seem to have been janked with the latest updates from PD/Sony, just putting this here... Achieved my first ever top 100, and then did it again in the next event. Struggling to find time to do events at the moment, but I won't repeat this feat in either of the current events for sure!View attachment 1532165

Well, this one wasn't too tough...which is good because I still haven't managed to get the gold in the F50 so I'll focus on that now. Oh, and I think it stinks that PD decided they needed to lock up the player data. I really enjoyed getting the weekly TT statistics and I was finally starting to inch my way up the board a bit. Bummer.

I think that might be it for me at Yaz cause...I cannot take the combination of "Surprise Understeer!" with track limits that don't actually seem to align with reality.

Finally was able to drop down into the 2:01s tonight with a 2:01.702 after 32 laps, with only 12 clean laps. That was my last lap and because my optimal was a .555 (only S3 was faster on another lap), I ended the session because pleaaaaase no more.



And perhaps I'm misunderstanding here...but I was pretty sure the penalty occurs after your tire fully passes the inside edge of the white line?

I captured these right as the lap went red on two different laps (going frame by frame...well, what it considers frame by frame in the replay):

This must be some sort of record for me. I don't think I've ever been this high up the order. I never thought I'd be lusting over a Chinese car but it the U9 is, without question, one of the greatest I've ever driven in a video game. Call it propaganda but the Europeans have been asleep at the wheel FOR YEARS, prioritisng money over progress and resting on their laurels. No wonder there's soo much resistance... It's not political, but rather economic because Chinese cars will destroy other markets. I mean, I saw many BYDs out on the road yesterday so it's already making an impact here in Melbourne. I hope, for the sake of the entire car industry, that the established players rise to this challenge. Let's not fight on the battlefield - let's fight on the road because through healthy competition, we can make progress that benefits us all.
 
Morning fellow addicts,

Had some time to microwave myself around Catalunya again.
I am still having a lot of problems with the last corner, very difficult due to that 4wd sliding feeling.

But most annoying is the uphill S, I don't know if you guys encounter the same failure but I am used to have my R2 finger exactly at the point of throttle or idle right before the lefthander of the S, but inlike 5 out of 10 laps ( and I have multiple videos of it now ) IF toutch the throttle very slightly before going left uphill the battery completely dies for a second or stutters a brief moment, and the ABS flickers at that exact time, but it also happend when I am not on the curb sometimes.....very annoying cause it completely throws you off cause there is no power for a moment

If you listen carefully at 21 seconds you can clearly notice the stutter



but sometimes it doesn't 😁😅🤣

Still a lot of room in the lap though but kind of hard to perfect the lap with this monster 🤣

Morning!

A few laps in the U9 again this morning as I can't find the motivation for the F50 again, I am still a one week per timetrial guy 🤣
Went from .371 to a whopping. 352 🤣
Claimed some places back on the first page though 😁🤣

This was a little more agressive approach, mist some apex along the way but that but the lap was not to bad.

I’ve enjoyed the most recent time trials but admittedly, I am obsessed with the Nurburgring-reverse circuit experience which has taken most of my time lately! I would love to see more mountain circuits in the game ☺️

🤣 i think that CE is THE thing that makes me "99%' completed instead of 100 ....
I hate reverse layouts....( although trail mountain reverse was epic last time)
But riding the green hell backwards is just not for me.... maby I could finish the sectors apart, but a whole lap? Naaah I am not going to make it 🤣🤣

I’m taking bets on when Nurburgring-reverse will show up in a future time trial…. 😂 doing some advance scouting! There is a banked turn somewhere in the middle (I forget which sector) that doesn't mess around 😬 I had to look at the minimap to make sure I am about to turn in the proper direction 😬
 
Easy to get the wang around the track. Gold was easy this time, still stuck on silver with the F50.

Made a change to my attire while driving. I'm now wearing a shoe on my right foot, and a sock on my left (prior I was just wearing socks). This has helped enormously with my throttle control.

Okay, what brought this on? Just came home kicked one shoe off and said F it, racing anyways. :lol: This seems counter intuitive as one would think you would lose the 'feel' of the pedal. For me anyways. DON'T MAKE ME TRY THIS!!! :irked::lol:

Mainly for the placebo effect, never underestimate it! I reverted back to full blown sock usage at Watkins Glen Daily A 😆.

Believe me when I say I've never taken a screenshot:dunce: , but I really enjoy driving, both in real life and in simulations.

well I think I'm going to put my tail between my legs and walk away with the silver in the F50. I'm not making any real progress anymore and it's pretty frustrating.

The track limits there are the worst. Annoying to begin with that they set them to "Championship", for some reason...but fine, we just have to re-learn a bit to redefine how little of the track we can use...

...but then (as evidenced by my screenshots), they did them wrong. It's incredibly obnoxious.
