A reminder that each driver's results for every TT are in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Meh, Yaris again... Isn't this the third time already? We have real rally cars in the game, which would have been a great fit for this time trial.

I really think this would've been the perfect opportunity for an Escort TT, or hell, even the RAV4...

When I wrote the article there was about a tenth between the top two and then an actual second between #2 and #3...

Edit: Must have been two-tenths, as I don't think that the top time has improved.

Chaparral TT seems nice...rally one I don't want to do because I don't feel wasting time learning perfect line and than run it for hours to get gold 😔

Would've been nice to h ave a car that felt like it had something of a suspension. Every bump is like going over a landmine, it's ridiculous. A good lap feels like it boils down to bouncing lucky enough to carry speed out a corner.

The Yaris-for-rally use has gotten a bit much now, I have to agree.

You know what'll happen though, they'll hear people complaining and they'll change it up next time... to the Corolla.

Echoing the disappointment in the Yaris yet again. Yes, it's the third time. Six rally TT's and 50% of them in the exact same car, how lame and devoid of creativity is that?

You're not meant to take the cars out of their original packaging.

Yeah tried the rally, thought I did OK and was miles off Bronze so I am out. I suspect i'd go OK in the CHapparel and managed to beat gold by 4 tenths within a half dozen laps, optimal is another 4 tenths faster if I need to go back to it so i'll call that done for now. It's a fun car to drive, ton of grip and sounds great.

I think honestly the Jeep would have been more fun and echo the race than the space hopper Yaris.

For the first time in a long time I’m ONLY with in 20% of the time 🤣🤣🤣

Not for me, the J2 is nice and fun to drive in VR but doesn’t really suit Watkins so I’ll just get that done and wait again.

Time trial enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to this week, with a new event arriving on schedule and accompanied by another special challenge to make for a rare line-up of three...

Seems that for every time there's a dirt/snow time trial, I get bronze. Granted, I don't mind since I get silver or gold for 99% of all other time trials, but I wonder how I'll do on this one?

After 2 laps to test this morning, did 10 laps this evening, much better but funny that I beat my best ranking ever in a TT, with a lower than medium bronze 😅

Still need to figure out some jumps and corners, but really fun when done well.

Did 3 laps at the Glen, that car on RS tyres and VR is crazy, although I was seated a bit too low. In bronze now, not too far from silver, but not sure I'll be able to improve much, I feel that I am already close to my limits with few spots where I can gain time.

Chaparral 2J at Watkins Glen? Much more like it! Tricky but fun, there’s understeer, there’s snap oversteer, there’s terrifying speed, there’s only three gears. A lot to like!

75 gold times in the Yaris right now

I'm at 1:28.393, almost 4 seconds off the WR, and sitting at 971. And I even get out of the first corner ahead, hahahaha

'Cos I'm a stickler for this sort of thing, I never do a Time Trial in its first week to keep the screenshots for the article nice and clean each week without my times mussing the place up. Well, I do a few sighter laps that I deliberately invalidate, to get a feeling for it so I can work out target times and find out if there's anything odd that should go in the article.

So, I've just headed out to BMBBR. 17 laps, 16 of which were red and the 17th of which was a 56.839 (on sticks) Just about the optimal as well so... that's that

I've got solid bronzes with both the Yaris, and the 2J. Both are a blast to drive, but I think even silver might be wishful thinking for me. I'll be giving them a work out, at least.
