Same ha ha!When I get to the braking points, I instinctively shift down, nice track but boring car, I'm happy to have done 1,45,989 but I don't know if I'll want to go back there.

Using the Logitech G923 wheel now. Took a good 300+ miles to work it out, was on pace for a easy low .5 but 'blinked' at the right that leads onto the back straight, then Ascari wasn't brilliant.
But finished off with a nice parabolica, the limit is to 'V' it, not to follow the inside curbing all the way as that will require you to brake too early.
Weak ABS.
Very good result there!, and def. no need to be afraid to place such results, once you get a little faster and participate on this thread you have to accept defeat sometimes .....lots of times![]()

39th in the world buddy, nothing to be ashamed of!
@crome did some work to beeing into the .2xx
I didn't have much time this morning and the laps i did were terrible, S1 was a nightmare, felt like different tires this morning,
So had about waaaay to many bad laps....
Had one lap i was realy happy about, IF it wasn't for the wall i kissed on the exit of the last chicane....
Would have been a party right there
It realy depends on the next Yellow Mobile Battery thing if i'll go again, if that's awesom i maby leave it at this, but if that one s*cks ... imma try again

Thanks for the flowers, mate@crome, amazing lap man! Definitely an inspiration for any VR player.
Isn’t this a somewhat pessimistic forecast? This will do for Monza - I love the track, but no gears, massive weight and having to hold down an overtake button are no fun. I reckon this will be around 500-750th at the end. It will be like a Gr.4 event with tons of times very close together at the top.

Possibly. It just felt quite easy to get that close so I imagine others will too. Normally I can get to around 1.5 or 1.7% off #1 on day 1, but here I got much closer (0.7%) quite quickly.Isn’t this a somewhat pessimistic forecast?
+0.730 / world record, I see you rather in the 250, don’t you?
seems a common thing with EV TT's have to say i only notice it after watching the replay .... me like whats that red thing on the rightside oooo boost is on 😅BOOST BUTTON!??
So that's why i don't find my 8 tenth probably/hopefully.
Will report back when i find the button.![]()
Eww, I know what you mean, what is this?! It sort of jumps between a lot of feedback and none at all in a way that seems to have no correlation to what you‘re doing. Makes it very hard to feel the car and also kind of takes the fun out of it unfortunatelyThe Elentra is a really weird feeling car to drive. It's like some parameter in the force feedback is reversed or something...

Well it was definitely a step down in terms of wheel quality, but like I said, I gave it a really good go, first half an hour I honestly thought the wheel was broken it felt that foreign in terms of feeling!
But I tweaked a few settings, like removing CSA, increasing controller sensitivity from -2 to 6, which eventually enabled me to gel more with the car, it's honestly a really fun wheel to hold, extremely comfortable, feedback does enough of a job to provide appropriate clues on when the car is understeering, or about to lose traction, and that's really all you need from a wheel. Bought it second hand from Facebook marketplace for $300. Very glad I purchased it.
I started GT7 on that wheel, loved it (didn't know better existed), and after some tweaking, it gets the job done. You may have already noticed it, but they do have a 'slack' spot in them when changing direction. I find it most noticeable on Grand Valley going down the mountain in first sector the fast right with the slight lift and then the left turn right before the 400 brake marker, with the G29 wheel, you kinda gotta 'catch' the car to put tension back on the wheel. Weird to explain.Well it was definitely a step down in terms of wheel quality, but like I said, I gave it a really good go, first half an hour I honestly thought the wheel was broken it felt that foreign in terms of feeling!

I used it, LOVED it! Then took the dive and went to the G Pro wheel, OMG!! the feedback that wheel gives is INSANE! I did the wheel first, bought the adapter to use my G29 pedals with it, but then got the pedals. If you can, upgrade to both at the same time. It will be a much better experience. That's really cool, man, thanks for sharing your experience.
Yeah, I’ve been really happy with the G29 myself. Even though I haven’t tried higher-end wheels yet, it does a solid job and gives me the feedback I need to stay connected with the car. I definitely see an upgrade happening at some point, but for now it serves its purpose extremely well.
I imagine the higher-end bases provide a more refined and detailed experience, but the core communication is already there with the Logitech
Agreed, it is easy to shift the weight and lose control. That Xiamoi is...an interesting vehicle. It really likes to just shoot off the track (when it isn't busy not slowing down). A track which has far worse limits than I recall!
Still, once I finally figured out where those were, and how to keep this car on the track, managed a 1:47.129, with an optimal down in the mid 1:46s, which is certainly possible - just need a nice, clean, lap on another session.
I think I need to clean out my G923's pedals, because I'm starting to get intermittent-not-full-throttle again. But it seems like when I blow hard into it and give it a good few whacks, it goes back to behaving. It's likely full of dog (husky) hair...
Ok glad I'm not the only one! I felt it right when I started my lap, it had some sort of delay or something that makes it feel like you're tipping a large box full of something. Hard to describe. I got on fine with my lap, just need a lot of time to be able to improve it.The Elentra is a really weird feeling car to drive. It's like some parameter in the force feedback is reversed or something...
That's the first thing I noticed when I looked at my in-car replay, my steering inputs with the G923 almost look pad-like. It seems to robotically straighten out the steering column, which doesn't correspond to my actual live inputs. You may have already noticed it, but they do have a 'slack' spot in them when changing direction.
