Quick fire session before work yielded a top 6 effort. Had a wrist niggle from a tennis mishap so couldn't run it last night. CSA on strong. 7 controller sensitivity. 10/10 FFB

So, Le Mans in the new Hypercars... On paper, pretty cool ass combination but a few things to comment on. That is one of the most photogenic combos you could come up with but then you manage to select the most uninspired and boring time/weather settings possible. Blue skies, a few clouds set at like 15.00. Where’s the night? The dusk? Dawn? It’s Le Mans with Hypercars. COME ON.

Anyway, a very difficult and humbling TT. How the guys up front manage 21.1 is just absolutely insane, one can only bow down in awe.

If I personally had properly nailed everything I might’ve touched a 22 but a more realistic really great lap would’ve been a 23.1 which I did set twice, unfortunately that happened on two dead laps, those kind of laps where you just about violate some early track limit but keep going just for the hell of it and to try and get some composure later on and not only drive the same initial corners over and over all the time, two of those laps ended up being a 23.178 and later a .128 when I got a fantastic passage through the Porsche curves and also survived pretty good through Ford, which almost never happens.

In fact, my final PB which became a .386 had a horrific run through the Ford chicanes, it’s a lap that should’ve been a low 23 but I threw it all away. Very tough.

Totally agree, especially since night races are so magical at Le Mans.

Magnificent fluidity on your lap!

I was pretty mediocre on this combo, just relieved to get into gold.

Like you do, I would have liked to reprogram my brain to brake earlier with better entry and conservation of speed.

Although 3 seconds slower, the Porsche turns and then the S of Karting will have a great deal of sensations in VR (and frustration for other curves)

Hi fellas! I’m back for one day only and checked in to see what the new time trial had for us… what a cutie!! It’s a lot of fun with some really nice balance to the car, takes some nice brake/throttle work to get it settled in those tight undulating corners but when you get it right it is..

Probably can’t make much time up but I did enjoy that little session! Also great to see @sdi_03 on the leaderboard, when did you make your return Mr. legend??

Hey folks - not tried the new one yet. Pleased with my Le Mans result and decided to have another go in the Ford GT last night. Picked up 3 tenths with another one and a half on the table to reach the optimum on this 20+ lap session. ABS weak - nothing else

3 Time Trials entered on the bounce...

This one I thought would be right up my street but I haven't quite found the groove so currently on a 58.860. Datalogger shows I'm 2 tenths down before the first braking zone and 5 tenths down coming out of the 2nd corner - so I feel like theres a very good time available just getting a decent run over the line and improving my T2 line...

Got Metallica tomorrow night then away for a weeks holiday, so not sure I'll return to actually try and improve though.

Finally was able to get to the oldest of the three TTs - the Ford GT is a fairly unpleasant one to drive. It kinda just...won't turn.

Best I was able to do today after a somewhat short first session was a 1:32.245, with an optimum in the 1:32-flats so...meh. Now, I did have TC on 1 because it's such an unruly car. Hopefully I can drop that down to 0 and pick up some time and get into the 1:31s, but honestly I'm pretty sure it's really only activating where I'd lose time to wheelspin anyway so...guess we'll see.

Gotta lay off the Bras n Things catalogue.
Bras n Things? I might have to do some “research”… ya know, I doubt it competes with the ol’ Victoria Secret catalogue but ya gotta be sure 😂

I may be able to find a little bit more time here… it’s a razors edge between rotating the car properly and scrubbing too much speed.

Made it!! Got the .6xx run. But my S1 is a tenth slower that I can do if I hit it just right. So .5xx is possible. 😎 but I think im just done as T1 is just literally kicking my arse. I may hit a .0xx every 20 attempts or so. Time to move on. This will be my best finish ever if it holds. 🏁

Hell yeah, nice job!

I, myself, just ran a screamer of a lap, with a 1:31.769 (optimum of a .638), which is currently 73rd. I got down to a 1:32.009 and thought the game would intentionally deprive me of a 1:31...and then came that. 😆

I had dropped TC to 0 this session and kinda just figured out what the car liked (most laps, at least). Seemed to do the trick (again: most laps, at least).

I may also leave this one be, since I have those two other TTs I haven't even started, because vacation.

Willow springs + Metallica = good combination for riding with Enter the Sandman in mind

However, given the power of the "Gord", I imagine it’s not necessary to keep an eye open 😂

Doing a lot of traveling over the next couple of weeks, so steering clear of Willow Springs. Time in the bag at RBR, so went back to Spa to clear up some of my errors yesterday. Finally worked out the Bus Stop chicane which helped. Pretty average T1 but otherwise this is a decent lap for me. This is a very sweaty event though - 1.39% and 1099th place! At least improved my Edge score

Returned from the Austrian GP today and had the first opportunity to start up the PS5 in over a week - haven't done any laps on any of the currently active TTs, so opted to catch up on the Ford fist as the one closest to its closure, heatwave room temps permitting

This went really well and efficiently actually - even with a couple of warmup laps I needed to de-rust and remind myself what even are the GT7 physics, I was within the gold threshold within 15 minutes or so, and within 30-40 mins I hit the "2% or thereabouts" gap to WR that I know by now is a reasonable target to set. There's at least a tenth, tenth and a half out there to find with a cleaner exit out of the double left hander, so may have another go to push for a .5 or .6 if I find the time to do so before the TT closes. But that .8 was a decent effort already.

Also, it seems fitting that the cups they served the drinks in at the track featured a Ford GT (of sorts) on one of the cup designs:
