Well, I worked hard this year, I didn't spend much on life's comforts, so I think now I deserve and have done something for myself...

I haven't tested it yet, but I hope my multifocal lenses don't cause any problems, or I'll have to get reading glasses just for VR.
Buying Lenses for the VR was the best thing i done, much better than wearing glasses.

agreed. the lenses match your eyes even if you dont wear glasses. i dont wear glasses but went ahead getting my eye exam numbers. i sent those in and it so so much better.i had a slight blur in my vision now. it made the vr so much clearer to me. i get a new exam each year and match my vr lenses.

GUYS GUYS GUYS

I didn't see anyone post this yet, but in the 296 GT3 car if you look at the rear view camera, IT'S IN 3-D. Also also, move your head around as you look into it.

Sorry, tried to post this hours ago but got busy at work.

It's been like that for all cars... Just like in real life... It's not perfect yet, but it does work

Is music playing in the showroom something new? I’ve never heard music playing.
Nope. Always been there.

I sometimes go into the VR showroom on purpose to change the music because there's one track that annoys me when I'm browsing cars or viewing their museums

Not sure. I think there’s something going on with it. Looks weird. Looks wrong.
That said - the car itself is great in VR.

I've not seen that in any of my cars . . . and I've driven everything. The rear-view camera (e.g. 650s GT3) doesn't have a clear 3-D effect. The mirrors have always reacted to my head movements, but the cameras have not.

Just as my current computer screen does not change it's angle or view based on my head movements, that's the way the cameras inside the cars have been. However if I look out a window and move my head, the angle changes. That's what I'm trying to convey.

Last night on Yas (queen) marina I noticed the angle of the road behind me in the rear view camera (in the middle of the dash) changed with my movements.

Now it's possible this is an artifact of the update, but it was not the case previously. The Genesis VGT, Bugatti VGT Group 1 . . . every single car I've driven in the game with an in-dash rear-view camera has not had this effect.

I'll see if I can post a vid of some kind; that'll have to wait until sometime tonight. Perhaps I'll stream on YouTube.

why, if it is a camera (not a mirror), should it move and be 3D relatively to your head movements ? is this a feature from the real car ?

That's where i got mine, and on offer at the moment.
I have those. My only gripe with them is that the way they mount on does not seem efficient. But they hold well once placed.

What could be great is a magnetic mount.

Yeah i know what you mean, i reckon all the lenses for it will be like that though. Magnetic mount is a great idea.

Preaching to the Choir

Can't preach to anyone else, because the non believers and those who can't afford it will just get annoyed....

Can you give us a TDLW and sum up in a few words what the author says that Spec III improved VR wise ?

In the first video
He was just using VR2 and driving
1) the F3500 around Yas
2) the Super Formula around Montreal
3) the new GT3 Ferrari around the Nurb Tourist
And saying how everything looks top notch in VR2

Pretty much what we here all know already...

In the second video
It's more a quick recap of what and how the content of the PP DLC works, but he is using VR2.

What I learned there is that PP is essentially the offline version of GT Sport Daily Races. PD and Kaz have curated 50 different races for those like myself who do not have a PSN+ sub, and yet can still do some races like in the online GT Sport... It really reminds me of when I had the PSN+ during COVID and played some Daily races, going through Practice, Qualy and the excitement and fear and anxiety of Racing....

Well done PD and Kaz ...

I am currently working on something, I will share soon with you all.

Thanks for the recap, no infos on any VR improvement then.
No improvement, at least none visibly discernable.
But here the video shows how thrilling the race is in VR2 with this PP DLC.

VR2 together with the DLC are giving average players like myself and immersive experience offline...

I am well aware of what PSVR2 brings (DLC or not) 😁 but I am still hoping for improvement mainly in terms of QoL and I'd love improvements in terms of graphics too (maybe with FSR4 next year).

I don’t know if it’s unusual.
Usually, the HUD related to the tires is completely broken.
During the TT Yas Marina/Espace F1, it is clean at my place.
Do you notice the same thing?
