For me, this is the only negative from using VR.Got a unit from a friend for testing so I could see whether the investment was worth it or not and... boy, I cannot play Gran Turismo 7 on a flat screen again, it's so weird and jarring.
One of the things that has surprised me about the experience is how my perception of certain tracks is changing. I always hated Autopolis with a passion, a bland and uninspiring string of corners leading nowhere. But with VR? I can be more precise and feel it flowing better. It isn't a track I would say I am good at or even enjoy as so many others, but I don't find it the waste of disk space I once did.
Racing some events from the DLC on Fuji earlier, I've noticed how easy it is to nail the last few corners when you have actual depth perception to judge where to break, turn and position the car to fit everything together nicely.
TVs ARE A LIE PEOPLE!
I simply cannot play with a screen anymore. Not that i want too all the time but every now and then i just decide to have a go and play on my screen.
It usually lasts about half a lap before i'm in the grass or gravel and my session ends as i reach for my VR headset.
