I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I recently got my hands on a VR2 and I'm thrilled.

I still get a little queasy after 40 to 50 minutes 🤢, but it's amazing how well the cars can be maneuvered into the apex of the corners.

Cars with open wheels, in particular, can be controlled with pinpoint accuracy. Simply wonderful. 🤩

Merry Xmas to you too and welcome to our little club.

VR2 sent me down a rabbit hole that ended up costing me around €3.000 šŸ˜‚

It’s absolutely amazing.

It is not a cost! šŸ˜
Just the best investment you could make to enjoy yourself if you like this hobby and if you can afford it obviously.

When I started making numbers before taking the jump I arrived to a similar budget of yours (VR + Direct drive + solid Rig) and it seemed a little obscene for a hobby so it took me some time to decide.

Now the only thing I can say is that I dont regret a single penny spent on this journey.

Merry xmas to all!

Care to give details ? 😁

Woul you say that you wish you have done it sooner ? (I can definitely say it for VR especially since I had the headset for months and barely touched it because of motion sickness in the beginning, only after a week I had no choice it became fine and from then there was no going back)

Absolutely.

I went from a G923 to a Logi PRO and the difference is like night and day.
A similar comparisson can be made with gaming on a flat screen or in VR

The level of details you have with a Direct Drive is hard to put on words and when you combine that with the inmersion that VR gives... no one can convince me Im not racing a real car

Well, I still have to wait for a seat and steering wheel with pedals.

There's just not enough space yet.

And as for the costs, my colleague always says, "Hobbies cost money!" He's right about that. 🤷

:)

Sure.

PSVR2 (€650) led to me buying the Logitech G923 (€250) and a Playseat (€250).

I immediately felt the need to upgrade so I bought the G Pro Wheel (roughly €1.300) and the Playseat challenge X (€280).

Did I stop there? No. So I also bought the PS5 Pro (€800).

That's €3.530 or €2.880 if you remove the PSVR2 that started it all :)

Totally agree! I had the exact same progression, and I absolutely love the Logitech G Pro. For the amount of hours of enjoyment, the price is totally worth it. I wish I would have taken the plunge sooner.

So, how's the G Pro in combination with the Challenge X? How many Nm do you use roughly?
