May – Week 3
Hi guys, now it's my turn to tell you about my weekly challenges. I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Race Difficulty – Hard | TCS 1

#5 | Gr.1 Prototype Series | Grand Valley – Highway 1
F3500-A | PP 950 | RM tyres | FM 6 | no pit
Once again, the F3500 was my salvation. Before that, I tried LM55 and SF19, but I could only get up to 2nd place. In the case of the F3500, the no-pit-stop tactic worked, but if Wong hadn't made the pit stop after 9th lap, I probably wouldn't have won. I had to lengthen the gears to save fuel.

Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R ‘97| PP 550 | RS tyres
I expected an easy victory, but the nasty bot turned me around on the second lap. After that, it took me 3 laps to catch up with the leader.

#3 | Evolution Meeting | Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa+Miyaba
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII ‘04 | PP 757 | RS tyres
Another fun Mitsubishi race, but without the U-turns.

#2 | Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 | Fishermans Ranch
Subaru WRX STi Type S ‘14 | PP 680 | D tyres
I don't like off-road racing. And this time I was very glad that I won on the first attempt.

#1 | The Silvia Sisters | Tsukuba Circuit
Nissan 180SX Type X ‘96 | PP 604 | RS tyres | NOS
I chose the 180SX only because I had never used it before. In this race, the bots were very agressive and faster than me on the straights. I only won by overtaking in the corners.

I received 500,000 Cr. for the third week in a row.

Japanese 4WD Challenge 600: Lancer Evo Vii. Rough one but done.
Evolution Meeting: Lancer Evo Final. As usual, carving through the field.
Gr.1 Prototype Series: Toyota TS050. No thought, just car.
Special Event: Still working on the setup of this car so abit rough but pretty much easy.

Lancer evo 95 and 06 tune wanted in order to keep me company for the Yamagiva Yamamoto track.
Extreme settings aren't preferable, a balanced and enjoyable character is the most important till love comes down .

A very Japanese set of cars this week 🇯🇵 ... and a fast one, too. My impression recently is I tend to avoid the ultimate challenge, although my car detuning efforts seem reasonable every time. And so things went quite like last week.
The first four races were one and done, the top event ( again ) needed a second attempt for the full reward. Reason being I received time penalties on multiple occasions for violating track limits and for quite some time I didn't even know where and how exactly. Learned my lesson then on the final laps, the next run went great.
I finally should mention that, after changing my car's livery, I thankfully got a race permission at Watkins Glen - what would I have done without completing this set of Weekly Challenges ?

Nissan Silvia S15 '02 - SM / 284 hp / 1,066 kg / 600,95 PP / CRB ✅

Really good challenge in the One-Make Special Race using a completely stock FTO. Close racing all the way. Once you get in 1st place 8 of the 9 opponents will be on your tail.

1) The Silvia Sisters - Nissan Silvia K's '94; 599PP Sport Soft tires

2) Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 - Toyota Celica GT-FOUR '94; 579PP Dirt Tires

3) Evolution Meeting - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI GSR '99 - 599PP Sport Medium tires

4) Special Event FTO One Make - Mitsubishi FTO GP '97 - 599PP Sport Soft tires

5) Gr.1 Prototype Series - Mazda 787B '91 - 900PP Racing Soft tires (1 stop tires lap 7)

Trust me when I say this set hits home for me; just the right amount of nostalgia from my car selection with the added fun of making my cars look the part (except for the 787B which was from the Showcase all cars were done by me, a nod to that banger decade full of grunge and no excuses style!). Grand Valley would be just right for any WTC series IF it had rain, what a blast it'll be then!! fun races overall, which it's at the end the point. Also, got a nice $500k from the 6* dragonball ticket.

Pretty good week but again only the one-make was new to me.
Had to suck it up like the last time I did the Gr.1 race and bumped it down to Easy. Mazda VGT. No-stopper on RH, 28 sec win.
One make was easy in a 500pp tune by Jeje. I'll probably try it again with a weaker car.
Silvia Sisters was in my SR20 swapped one that I've used for the Sisters races lately. Won by around 3 seconds.
Japanese 4WD in my EVO III that's set-up for rally. Too easy.
EVO race in another one of my EVO III's. It was fun until you hit the last sector with all the big Esses. The AI is so slow there. On one lap Poluf brake-checked me and I slammed right into him. Won by around 20 seconds.
Got a million from the ticket.
Now on to the PP the next few days.

i only had 1 stop for fuel at the end of lap 6 at gran valley was in good shape tire wise the F3500-B with mediums dont wear out as fast as the softs do.

Did anyone of you try this race with a really powerful car ?
I did 30 min ago using my black LS7 swapped Lancer VIII with 1195 hp / 698,75 PP.
Since I always try to race without any contact, neither to AI cars nor to ( even invisible ) walls etc. the run felt like I'm reaching my skill limit on one hand and like I'm reaching a physical limit of what is possible on this track regarding grip, car control etc. on the other.
Do you have experiences here ?

What I used, for the GR1 I did a one stop for RS and fuel, the Silvia Sisters I always struggle with a pp car so always have to use something way over.

I do have a Gr.B swapped Evo... will do this later... without ABS
