6* ticket -> Toyota GR010. Sold for 1,2M

Started with time trial did enough to get bronze. Next I tried figure what car to use at Road Atlanta. I ended up on the C1 Vette, I forgot that the rear end likes to slide so I had to adjust my style and not be overly aggressive.

Next I chose the swapped Crown Athlete for next race.

For the Hypercar race I normally use the Valkyrie but I decided to try the Mission X. I put Rs tires on it and raced. It was actually a pleasant drive. The only issue I have with it which is an issue I have with all EVs is the silence. I like to hear the engine make noise.

For the last race I chose the Bugatti VGT GR.1. I started at FM6 which was a big mistake the car felt too slow. After 2 laps I changed it to FM4 and the rain came at the end of lap 3. It was going to be a semi hurricane so I put on wets and if I didn't switch to FM3 I would have been able to finish the race. I had like 0.9 fuel left going into the last lap and after I lost a race at leMans because I ran out of fuel, I will stop to get a splash of fuel to finish the race.

Got 500k cr from the 6 star ticket.

March – Week 4
For this week's challenges I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Race Difficulty - Hard

#5 | WTC900 | Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Mazda LM55 VGT (Gr.1) | PP 900 | RM tyres | FM 6>5 |
This race was not easy for me. I wasn't sure of my victory until the last lap. After two stupid crashes, I lost more than 12 seconds. It started to rain on Lap 5, but it wasn't heavy, and after the only pit stop, I decided to stay on the RM tires. I finished first with a 9-second lead.

#4 | Hypercar Parade | Autodromo de Interlagos
Porsche Mission X ‘23 | PP 800 | RS tyres |
I watched on Youtube that other guys used Mission X for this race and decided to do the same. True, it's controlled like a brick, but it flies like a rocket on straights.

#3 | Time Trial | Tokyo Expressway – East Couterclockwise
I'm ashamed to say, but I couldn't get the gold cup. After 30 attempts, I gave up on everything and decided that silver would be enough for me. It's probably impossible to win with a gamepad.

#2 | Japanese Clubman Cup 550 | Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa Reverse
Nissan Sileighty ‘98 | PP 550 | SH tyres |
The race was funny. I tried many cars with PP550 and Sileighty appeared the best. It makes great turns without slowing down, this allowed me to win by a margin of 5 seconds.

#1 | American FR Challenge 550 | Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
Chevrolet Camaro SS ‘16 | PP 550 | SH tyres |
Another funny race. On my first attempt, I got hit hard against the wall. On the second one I was more careful and finished almost clean. Sierra RS almost caught up with me on the last lap, the gap was only 1 second.

Ran the Spa 900 with my 962. First 6 laps on RM, FM 3-4. Started raining, so I took on IM’s. Dried up quickly, so I had to pit on lap 8 to take on more tires. As I was about to go on pit lane, the skies opened up, so I took on another set of IM’s. It rained until the end. I wound up passing half of the field because they were on RS. Good day, though as I received 500k for the daily 4-star and 1M for the 6-star.

I tried a few of the great road cars at the Spa race, don't remember exactly all of them but with Lambo LP 750 & Ferrari Enzo, but ended up at 4th or 7th or something so just used the Formula cars & won by 50 secs. But shall try again with better road cars next weekly challenge that is similar to the Spa race.

Some tips I can share:

- Use a car that has a much longer fuel range. Serrano is a big threat here. He pits late, but is stupid enough not to change tires at all. ;)

- I used Softs. Yes. Softs.

- Short shift when you can. CLK has enough fuel for 12 laps. I pit in at lap 8, did not refuel; just changed to a fresh batch of Softs.

- Serrano will crawl until the very end. His tires gave up on him.

- Profit.

Done using a controller, by the way. Will get my wheel fixed (hopefully) next week.

Only two GR.3 cars I have been able to win that WTC race with so far were the Ferrari 296 GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3R. Ford GT Race car, no success. Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 18', no success. Funny how this is one of the challenges this week with how I tried to experiment with it as of late. Got abit of a theory but I need more data before I fully commit to it.

As for everything else, cake.

We seriously need more trucks.
I honestly wouldn't be against it. This race could seriously use some variety as its JUST Tundras and Raptors (Not even from similar time frame).

That's the way I go, gonna try the Porsche tomorrow. I've only used it once so far - full stock - at Mt. Panorama and I think it's a bit of challenge at CGV. Me thinks if I have to gain almost 40 sec against the same car in a 12 lap race, both running a somehow similar strategy with one pit stop, I might need a superior car so I'm gonna mount the big turbo I guess. Curious where this leads to ...

Funny thing is despite being on Mediums with the hardest difficulty setting (and the car having a huge Horsepower disadvantage on several cars), I have literally pulled up on cars as if I did slap a Turbo on the Porsche. And I have indeed caught and passed Serrano in the final few laps despite being 9 seconds or so back (Him not getting tires would explain how I absolutely eat into his lead so hard).

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

New Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Xiaomi the Way to Barcelona

It’s Friday again, which means a fresh set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges has landed. New challenges arrive the moment your console clock ticks past midnight into Friday morning, so depending on your time zone, they may already be waiting for you...

Trying to bring back the puns for you guys.

now THIS is more like it @Jordan

There's tundra in the punchbowl lol... pretty decent week the special events are my fave bit. Its nice to be in endgame and not have engage with undesirable elements to chase credits.

Certainly one of the best week since a long time - all races were fun!

Mustang at Atlanta to start with - I crashed into the boundary at the end of lap #1 but mostly recovered and got 2nd:

"EVs first" at Koyto with an Afeela prototype with drives like a charm from SS above. Had to put SMs here to limit PP, though:

Third race - still in Japan - in a stunning Asthon Martin road machine. Two attempts needed due to wall collision...

When no Valkyrie is around, Hypercar events are easy  So at Interlagos - no problem for my well-trained Huayra:

A little rain has always to be expected at Spa. When it started I mounted IMs, but those where worn out already after two laps in the NSX, so after lap 6 I had to make another pit stop after lap 8 where I got overtaken but could catch up already in lap 9 and win:

Pretty cute reward from the 6* ticket this time:
