Ok now am more familiar with the hyper cars but in any case isn't easy at all .
Considering that very high pp races aren't successful for my age and skills ,make it worst .
At least isn't F1 cars only where my reaction is Exactly as above 🤣

At least its not as near-impossible as the Montreal WTC 800 (Where basically the only hope you have is Serrano being massively held up for most of the race because he is ALWAYS there). I've got some replays I saved so I can look to see which set of opponents will give you the best chance (Its abit like the Yas Marina GR.1 Race in that regard, but with the slight need to fuel save).

The REAL broken GR.1 Prototype race is Daytona. Its impossible in ANYTHING on hard to win that one regardless if its the new Hypercars, the LMP1 Hybrids, the Group C cars or VGT cars (and that grid NEVER changes no matter how many times you start over). Only reason I even managed it once is because I somehow brute forced the Genesis Gran Racer VGT and even THAT took so many attempts.

@smoothbore12 Sorry for how awkward these are, there's always that cutoff after the top 3. That's how the opponent lineup looked for me when I did this successfully.
 
Another good week. Sunday Cup is pretty easy, made the mistake of going for a 400 PP car and won by miles. FR Challenge is much more difficult, Lopez in the M4 was really fast so I only just won in the same car. VGT Trophy I went with the Peugeot VGT on RH, actually got a really fast grid with the FT-1 starting up the front and pulling a huge gap on everyone else, only got into the lead on lap 5. One-make is a bit dull but the AI is quite fast, only won by a few seconds in a stock car on RH. Gr. 1 at Watkins is a really fun combination and perfect to use the LMDh cars we now have. The BMW is really nice around here, just have to be a little careful over the curbs. On RM it'll easily run 1:33 laps and just about make the whole race on fuel. I just pitted on lap 8 for new RM and won by 30 seconds, the AI isn't fast here for whatever reason.

I don't even need the nuke, hell I enjoy the Challenge (Any excuse to go full SVG into the bus stop and blow by them in Turn 11) . At most, the wrong AI lineup will get you second (Not even the very distant 2nd that the WTC 800 Montreal race will). Its not that hard, Just annoying with how the same strategy only works when the AI are set a certain way. Even pulled this off with both the Porsche and BMW. You want a cheaty race? Try Daytona. Go ahead and explain to me how a Group C car is outlasting LMP1 Hybrids and the lone Hypercar.

It is not just Daytona. It's the whole 950 pp race system. I have tried even the goddamn Peugeot 908 on stock, ran on FM1 on similar pace as the AI with the same fuel and tire multipliers and I found it baffling how can the AI outlast the same car by 2 LAPS on average. Same goes to the Gr.1 McLaren VGT.

So yeah, I do not feel guilty using the base LM55 which will nuke even Daytona with ease.

Classical PD unfair AI since GT1.
 
Last weeks choices with the theme of hybrid's only

Okay, this week's theme i felt was far more Intricate and less forced, this time, I did VARIANTS for the theme

(UPPER ROW - CHOICES, LOWER ROW - VARIANTS)

  1. VW beetle on comfort mediums - drove like a dream out on track, shockingly nicer to drive than I expected it to be, if a little lacking in top end, it has grip for days, got the lead on before the final corner and chicane - variant reason: the desert racer is a variant by virtue of it being the same car.
  2. Lightly modified BMW M2 on Sport Hards - this too drove a bit unwieldy but overall capable!, I could've gone for a modern M3 here but I much prefer the M2 over the M3 personally but I got first before the final lap at least - variant reason: the BMW VGT previewed this gen m2's styling somewhat, and it's basically a racing M2 (still should have been given a Gr3 variant over 2 M6's IMO).
  3. Genesis VGT on racing sorts - I need to thank the bulgari vgt for using the best tyres for me in this race, because oh my god even with those tyres the genesis was an ax murderer, had to keep it above 3rd gear at all times, but the race was overall relatively easy...aside from a brief death at the hands of the Opel VGT got first by lap 3 or 4 - variant reason: the genesis berlinetta later got a race car version, that being the Genesis gran racer VGT.
  4. Modified Elantra N TC on Racing Hards - not a bad car this honestly, very planted despite the stupid amount of power I shoved into it, but I accidentally made the race a bit too easy for mysel as I got first before the end of lap 3 - variant reason: before the race car was added, the Elantra road car was present in the game, this is also the only variant I flipped the usual road/race car order on
  5. Ferrari VGT on Racing Hards - hoo boy this one was actually a bit tricky, this car chews through tyres, enough I had to make 1 pitstop for tyres (I kept fuel map on 5 for the race duration and shifted very early to conserve fuel, thankfully it had the power and low-mid end torque to punch through, if lacking in top end) I eventually locked in 1st by the beginning of lap 13 - variant reason: the Ferrari VGT actually uses a tuned variant of the 499p's engine

Overall a fun enough week, but I really had to think differently for a theme, which I both enjoyed and dreaded, hopefully next week will be easier

Another week, and another set of weekly challenges. I’m going to share my choices for the second time and make it a regular thing. I even have proper race shots this time.

Race 1 - Sunday Cup Classic @ Goodwood

Not quite the Goodwood Revival, but I love me some vintage cars. There are quite a few to play with. Since I was just messing around with it yesterday, I chose, of all things, a Toyota Land Cruiser. Because it’s fun beating all these classic sports cars with something that feels more at home on a safari than a race track. Downgraded to just about 345PP with comfort hards, it had to actually work to make positions. I only beat the second-placed Citroen DS by 0.74 of a second.

Race 2 - European FR Challenge 550 @ Dragon Trail Gardens

While I do prefer the Seaside layout, the Gardens circuit isn’t too bad, personally. As for my choice, it was another classic car: the 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL “Batmobile”, one of my favorite Bimmers of all-time. This one was upgraded right at 550PP on the dot with sports hards. Oversteery, but that’s what a classic Bimmer on these tires should be. It is more fun to work with a tail-happy classic than a modern-day grippy track car. Fairly easy win here, though I did get brake-checked by an E46 M3, so no clean race bonus.

Race 3 - Vision GT Trophy @ Nürburgring GP

We all have mixed feelings about the Vision GT thing, but that’s not why we’re here. My first choice for this one was the Volkswagen GTI Supersport VGT, a car that I had never driven before in GT7 until this challenge. With just 705PP stock, it was going to be hell catching up with the leader.

Sadly, I only managed second place with the people’s VGT. Unsatisfied, I picked a much faster but far more unruly car: the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta. This thing will spin its wheels easily. Careful throttle control is necessary, even on slicks. From there, it was an easy victory.

Race 4 - Elantra TCR One-Make @ RBR

I got to use my own bone-stock car for the special event this time, so, being the IMSA fanboy I am, I slapped on a Bryan Herta livery, gave myself a bit of a handicap in the form of intermediate tires to make the race more challenging, and set off. I overtook the leader just before the final two right-handers on the last lap to win. That was fun, besides the front wheelspin out of the slow corners. The wheelspin is especially bad out of Turn 3, so be gentle with the throttle for a decent exit.

Race 5 - Gr.1 Prototype Series @ The Glen

I was spoiled for choice as usual with these final “endurance” events. I had the entire unmitigated cluster-blank that is Gr.1 at my disposal. Today’s LMH and LMDh weapons, the early LMP1 diesels, the later LMP1 hybrids, the Group C monsters, and the wild Vision GT concepts. Given that I didn’t HAVE to go with one of them, despite the name of the event, I completely ignored them all and went with the Williams FW14B…okay, the F3500-A with an FW14B livery. On FM6 with hard slicks, it can go the whole race without stopping at all. So, I lapped the entire field. Only in Gran Turismo can an F1 car win endurance races.

So, those are my choices for the base game weeklies.

Those who know me here ,they are aware how i " hate " 900pp+ races .
Very fast for my eyes and my reflexes and my skills also .
So for all those who struggle as i do ,i have a pleasant surprise to offer in order to " deal " with Glen race .
Isn't mine discovery so the credits aren't belong to me .
I run this car-track compo for the first time and not only won but i started to enjoy it also 😂
I lap everyone except second place AI, made one stop at 8 lap ,new tyres little amount of fuel and go .

All settings are identical as i copy them .
Perhaps someone can do it better but thats what i try and am willing to try it again .

Sunday Cup Classic: Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Sprint. Fun stuff (Though Gallo Running me off was definitely not part of the plan)
European FR Challenge 550: BMW M3. GT4 Build returns to mess up the BMW Cup (Seriously, its like PD forgot other euro FRs exist)
Vision Gran Turismo Trophy: Lexus LF LC Vision Gran Turismo. Might be the last time as I intend to get the FT-1 for use.
Gr.1 Prototype Series: Porsche 963. Stock and ready to rock, pretty much went in with little armament and still got it (Though it felt abit easier this time for some reason)
Special Event: Nailed it (Just like the team that ran this livery when they won earlier in the year).
 
Reading @TRB1999 post that run the Glen with the F3500 i try it with the SF19 on RH tyres and FM3-4 depending the fuel gauge 😂 .

I made some minor changes closing a bit the gearbox from FG and rear brake sensitivity at 15.

Lower speed ,less mistakes although didn't avoid them since i had a lap at 37's and one break check from the LM55 that lead to a crash before last turn .
With this and that i finally made it and that's an OPEN INVITATION to @ROCKET JOE to be a space traveler again and he knows very well what am talking about .

My time which definitely can be better if i cut the mistakes and leave only a couple 0.500 penalties as i took there also.
