Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Cone of Silence

A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges goes live this Friday, May 22, as your console clock rolls past midnight. Five events, seven days to clear them, and the usual stack of bonus tickets waiting for anyone who works through the list...

Okay, that's a very good pun. Got a chuckle out of me

I know that title is kinda familiar for me.

Didn't really care for this week, probably one of the weakest they've done. Sunday Cup is stupidly easy, I won by 6 seconds in a stock Demio, probably could win under 300 PP. Clubman Cup is the usual where the only car that matters is the Alfa, not the best track layout but I did enjoy driving my swapped M3. Cone Challenge is a nice idea but they get stuck under the front of the car and lift it up completely at random, thankfully the times are very lenient. VGT Trophy I tried to do in a stock Gr.3 Suzuki VGT but every time I ended up losing by the same time I lost with the AI holding me up, gave up and just used the Opel instead and had no trouble, one of my favourite tracks at least. WTC 600 isn't great, the Huracan is quick but gets held up and the rest mostly just swerve all over the track and brake at random points to get in your way while being miles off the pace. Fully tuned Afeela was just about enough despite the straight line disadvantage.

Cars for this week:
full

Well the cone blag was worth it landed an FXXK for the 6* ticket sold it for 1.7m easy money indeed! Would rather have one make / fuel / tyre related challenges for time trials in the future though ewww! Decided to go easy on myself after cone trauma went with some serious horse power....

Sweet Krishna that cone challenge took more tries that I care to admit
Me too kept missing 2 or three cones whilst pushing... all the while it was super kind on the times lol... Has anyone out there golded this filth? At least it was not as evil as some of the earlier GT titles challenges they were controller breakers!

Next week Reliant Robin high speed cone weaving... we can only dream...

Variety is the spice of life, so rather than use the Skoda electric terminator, I used the BAC for a change...

there are not 220 cones and you just have to hit 200 of them! there are 200 cones so no missing

nerf mazda lm55 and go on a rampage

gt-r '17 at road ATL and couldn't catch the rabbit, 2nd was it by 3 seconds and change

6 star car draw gives me a volkswagen I already had, that's two 6 star car draws in a row giving me dupes (I think I'm at 407 unique cars, still saving up $20M blocks to finish menu collections)

Sunday Cup: Honda S660. EZ as usual
European Clubman Cup 600: Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. My attempt at making this a one-make cup car and needless to say, I destroyed Gallo's Alfa.
Vision Gran Turismo: Lexus LF LC Vision GT. The Usual (Though because its Tokyo, slightly scarier then usual).
World Touring Car 600: BMW M2. Did the lotto pull and thankfully, all the suspects were mired behind slower cars so I got by them all on Lap 1 and never worried again.
Special Event: Cones. So many Cones.
