Seems that I can build a grid with this one. Been getting this more frequently lately.

Decent enough week. Sunday Cup is one of those nothing events so I just picked something new. Japanese FR Challenge is interesting because you can get quite varied fields of cars including the stupidly fast Silvia, just about managed to beat him with a stock '18 BRZ, thankfully he got stuck behind a few cars. One Lap Magic was alright although it's very easy to pass most of the faster cars at the end because they'll just get stuck behind the slower ones. Ferrari Challenge I didn't enjoy, it's not the right cars for the track and in the most boring conditions, would be much better if we had one of the short layouts available instead. You have to watch for the 812, F8 and 296 because all of those will do 2:02 or faster which rules a lot of cars out. If they start further back or get stuck in traffic you might be able to win in some slower stuff, I struggled with a stock Enzo. Gr.1 was fun given the AI will pit and it's possible to make it without stopping if you use map 6 a bit on the straights and look after the tyres. Nice to see it can rain but I feel this event should've been more laps and maybe run into the evening, it's literally shorter than WTC 900.

Cars for this week:
full

Well, as per usual this is last weeks' weekly challenge choices

And here's what I used this week (Hard AI, PSVR2 as always) with a theme applied
Screenshot_20260612-005342.webp

Theme - starting with 2 cylinders increased cylinder count by 2 each race.

  1. Inline 2 - Fiat 500 on Comfort Mediums - this one was relatively calm, even if gears were a guesswork due to the in-car dials, but I had the lead by the first corner of lap 2
  2. Inline 4 - Toyota Hi-Ace on Comfort Soft - actually pretty tricky but super fun, the van was a little oversteerynat high speeds but brakes well where it mattered! Got first before spoon corner on lap 2
  3. V6 - 9X8 mission on racing sorts - this mission was really fun outside of the track choice, as I'm not a fan of spa, but the mission itself was really fun, and cool to see all three Gr1 Peugeot's in the mission too! Got first by the final chicane
  4. V8 - Ferrari 430 scuderia on Sport Mediums - had to take off some more major modifications (normal ECU and sport suspension instead of full custom, manual transmission over racing, and only sport exhaust) but otherwise full engine modification with 0 power limiter used, was a fun challenge though! And the car felt great to use, had the lead before the final lap.
  5. V10 - Fully tuned SRT Tomahawk Gr1 on Racing Hards - by this point I was still within the hour of the weekly going live, and I wasn't gonna play around, so I turbo'd the beast and no stopped the race on FM6, This car is still so awesome to drive even with a turbo strapped on with duct tape. First by lap 5
Bonus - finished the weekly with 0 restarts for once! And within the hour of the weekly going live!

My choices this week.
IMG_7788.webp

  • Sunday Cup: Audi TTS ‘09, S1 Pikes Peak swapped. I actually wish we had more races at BB Raceway. The new swap is a hoot and makes a great noise. CRB
  • Japanese FR 450: Lexus LC500, more than enough to win. Just wanted it over with. CRB
  • One Lap Magic: I actually enjoyed my first run in the new 9X8. I managed to get the lead coming out of the last chicane. I could certainly go quicker, but first half of the lap was finding the limit.
  • Ferrari Challenge: F430 Challenge replica, 296 started up front so it took me up until the last lap to pass him and win.
  • Gr1 Prototypes: Porsche 963, I had to do it twice because I forgot that it rained and I hadn’t bought Inters, so I tried to get through without them. I think the 963 is the fastest of the new cars, but it is a bit edgy if you try too hard. The tire wear is set a bit high for this race, in my opinion. I caught Wong as he pitted to go back to slicks and I just drove away after that.

Car ticket got me another AMG GT3 Evo.

Sunday Cup: Alfa Romeo Giulia. EZ
Japanese FR Challenge 450: Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R. As usual, fun.
Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Ferrari 296 GTB. The Challenge Build returns and shocker, its easier to win when YOU have the power advantage.
GR.1 Prototype Series: Ferrari 499P. 3 time defending Winner and a new race at Le Mans, had to. Just pushed, pitted and pushed. Felt abit easy.
Special Event: Apart from the long wait, Fun stuff.

"Modificata" spec 499P.

870 HP, Hard difficulty, ABS OFF, started on Mediums and on Fuel Map 1.

Strategy and setup are highly classified.
What view do you use if you don’t mind me asking? Love your reviews and the way you drive the cars as they are in reality.

I’m asking because I use the 499P (Interior view/VR) and with ABS on you can see the pink lights light up in the steering wheel when it kicks in.. same for TCS.. white lights turn on when it engaged. I find it strange because the car doesn’t use ABS. I know it has TCS so it was cool to see the lights come on but I’m was just curious why does it have ABS light indicators. I also used the car no ABS no TCS and it was a blast!

Bumper cam. If only GT7 has an extensive cockpit camera adjustment I would have stuck to cockpit view.

In real life they're lockup lights, not sure why GT7 doesn't use them that way and instead just shows if ABS is active.

Thank you very much.. seems that’s the best way they could implement them, which is a bummer because that would have been cool to see them come on when you lock up. We don’t use ABS if the car doesn’t use it, Oh well still an enjoyable the drive.
